this looks like a megolithic polimeric block structure that may well be 16000 years old!

The place was there before the river was there by the way the rock is worn

Reminds me of the Flintstones houses in bedrock like the ancient dolmans of Russia

Like the videos, but You walk by and never point out any of the writings on the wall, modern or ancient

The 9th century was around 1.2OO years ago. This looks like a dwelling and perhaps a chapel that was carved from the rock around that time, by the Anglo-Saxons.

    Not seen this before.
You would have thought time team would have excavated here in the past, but no.
Be interesting to do magnet fishing in the water or do some metal detecting in the surrounding area's.

There's a story there. I wonder if the people that live at this place couldn't worship day Christianity or Catholic? So it was kinda secret. I've seen this video before and I don't mind watching it again.🙂

So this ruin is supposed to be 16 thousand years old? I thought Gobekli Tepe (pardon my spelling) was about 12 thousand years old which is at the end of the last ice age.

It's was last ice age that formed this

Gobekli tepe isn't a carved out cave..

@@eb1247 I never suggested it was. I suggest that the " cave" was not occupied/modified by humans during the ice age of 4 thousand years.

@GreatScot48 considering hominoids have occupied Britian as far back as 800,000 ya and modern humans well before 10,000BC, a carved out cave is totally possible.. obviously it has been altered since tho.
Gobeklie Tepe is a Formal Settlement "signifying" a transition from Nomadic lifestyle to civilization.
