  • It’s amazing to me that I’ve never played songs from the 80’s in my solo performances, which is the period I was musically most engaged in. I recall being in London in the early 80’s hearing Level 42 on the radio, Duran Duran. Both groups weren’t really known in American at that time. And of course hearing this song on the radio, “Our House.” Man I love this song AND Madness. What a fun band.

I enjoyed the heck out of that. ❤️✌️😎👍❤️
Perfect antidote to my news induced ,brain fry trauma.
Your Cordoba has seemed to “blossom “ tonally speaking.
I too have an Iberia series Cordoba. A modest C7 with a spruce top.
I bought it new about four years ago and found it more than adequate .
I play the living snot out of it daily.
To my surprise and delight, just this week, it seems to have blossomed. The highs are more bell like and sweet.
the lows growl a little more fiercely when necessary...ect... I’m curious if you have experienced something similar.
I’ve experienced guitars that “open up” once they start to mature, but this thing kicked the door down and said
“Oh yeah! Here I am baby. Come and get some”. Dare I say it? Could things be starting to “look up”?
Good seeing and hearing you. Don’t be a stranger. (Great arrangement )✌️

It's a seasonal thing with guitars particularly with nylon string guitars. Since the bodies are less dense than steel strings the neck and frets more easily shift. (non professional assessment) My guitar is my friend these days. No fighting. But as soon as the weather changes, the neck shifts or something and I have a visit my trusty luthier. Live, I now play a Cordoba 55FCE. It took me a while before I could get to play the way I wanted it to, but finally the luthier did. It sounds remarkable amplified. And thank you btw. :)

      Thanks for responding Miche.
I’m aware of the distortion these instruments go through from
changes in humidity and temperature .I usually have to tweak the truss rod when
the weather shifts from a New Orleans style steam bath in summer,
to a bone dry , desert like ,freezing cold winter.
It’s mostly due to the softening of the top, in humid conditions ,causing
the belly of the face (produced under string tension )
to become more pronounced. The distance from string to fret changes. It’s an easy
fix once you understand how to adjust the truss rod.
      On the other hand,
luthiers need work too. (And a good one can be hard to find).
They work better when well fed.🥩🧀🥯🌽🍉🍎🍐🍇🍓🥑🍳🍞🥨🥓🥗🥦🥬🍅
Nice “jawing” with you. Gotta’ go. Suddenly hungry.
P.S. How about a “taste” of your live performance instrument?
Until then, be very well.✌️😁👍🥗 Eat your vegetables!

Joao, if you're talking about that white piece of paper, let me refer you to this video which explains it. :th-cam.com/video/6spE3djq1e4/w-d-xo.html If you're talking about the make of the guitar, it's a Cordoba cordoba 55fce.
