Notice how dude was looking at Kayla to see her reaction, rather than the judge to get the results? That was genuine love & concern right there. So sad he went 20 years looking for his daughter that never existed.

Why should she feel thankful to a total stranger? It is not like this young woman knew of his existence 5 seconds ago, she has no obligation toward him. She was sufficiently sad for him, like you'd be for a disappointed stranger who thought you were his child (a thought she did not put in his head) but it turns out you are not.

The adopted mother acted like she didn't know how the birth mother got it, but it was from the CFS. He knew she'd been adopted.
Probably the birth mother. I know several women who get payments monthly for child support and dont even have the child(ren) believe it or not.

She is a spoil brat who is giving everything on a silver platter and if her biological father is to show up now, her inheritance is threatened. Her attitude can tell anyone of her upbringing, a white woman raising a black kid, I can tell she (the mother) has no control.

It's a common problem where biological parents who abandon their kids or absent parents who wanted nothing to do with their kids when they were younger to want to "reconnect" when the kids are older and got their life together.
Kayla's mom is the reason for everyone's pain. She was collecting all the money while she knew he was not her father. Such a loving father. The heart 💔. Lord, please heal this good man's heart.

He created “this mess” by abandoning a helpless infant girl. He didn’t want her. Thank goodness she was adopted by loving parents. If he was an unselfish, kind, understanding person, he would know that the girl will need to process some emotions (pain /anger /confusion /whatever). Kayla also caught him lying when he initially claimed to be unable to contact the birth mom, and later admits the birth mom sent him a photo of her.
The behavior of the daughter and her adoptive mother was reprehensible. The daughter acted so snobby and aloof to her potential father, as if he were nothing and his efforts were completely bogus. Then the audience's clapping in the moments where they were at their most vicious was also an embarrassment. I was actually relieved for the man that she wasn't his daughter so he wouldn't have to deal with her in the future. Even still, his behavior remained exemplary and he even expressed remorse for her situation and hugged her at the end, even after all the snide comments she had made his way. The adoptive mother looked like she thought if the daughter gained her father that she herself would lose a daughter. So insecure and unwilling to share the love with her adoptive daughter with anyone else. The adoptive mother and daughter have a bond of fear and rejection and not one of true love that can be shared and blossom with others. If the real father were to show up, he would be equally derided, although, it seems, it would be more deserving for him. I just wonder now where all the child support he was forced to pay went?
She's not going to accept every stranger that says he's her father. She'd never heard of him so of course she's going to be wary. Considering he's not her father shows that she was correct from the beginning 🙄
After 20 years, what should expected from the young woman or the mother that raised her from infancy? They don't know him. They hadn't ever heard of him. And he is NOT the biological father. He thought he was and I feel sorry for him, because his real daughter is still out here, somewhere, so he has to keep looking.

My heart is breaking for him. To search for his child for 20 years, find the child, and have her treat him with such callous disrespect, and then find out he’d been lied to all along!
The adoptive parents really could have done a better job of teaching her empathy and respect.
He is a literal stranger to her, an unwanted stranger. She has no emotional attachment to him. He and the birth mother are legal and literal strangers to her. Her emotional and psychological parents are the ones who adopted and raised her. What do people expect...for her to run up to him crying, "Daddy where have you been all my life?"
Even if he was her birth father, she has a Daddy and it ain't him. He is going to have to deal with his own feelings, healing and issues that resulted from the birth mother's and his actions/decisions and not try to put the burden on her.
She clearly said and showed from first contact that she has no interest in a relationship with him. You can't make someone love you or want to be with you.
Some adoptees want a relationship/contact with their birth parents...some don't.
Just like, some birth parents want a relationship/contact with the children they gave up for adoption and some don't.
If they are not both in agreement then it's not happening and you can't guilt the person into being part of your life.
Oh please, he just a strange man who claims to be her father. If u wanna find ur lost kid who u didn't take in when they were little, didn't keep in contact whatsoever with said child...this is what u should expect, this reaction is what ur getting.

Agreed 100% they just picked whatever black men to test so they could say that she has no father and now they pretty much probably stole a black baby and she now has a funky attitude because she was raised by people who probably let her get away with anything especially talking back.

I don't see how the state could collect child support from him and then test other men to see if they are the father unless the bio mother told the state he was not the father when it came time to finalize the adoption. If so, that was not the adoptive parents but the bio mother. She's the one that pulled a slick one over him.

Unfortunatly because his name on the birth certificate if he signed it he was the legal father even if not paternal father. So whoever signs birth certificate has legal obligation even if not biological father.

He signed the birth certificate, which made him the legal father, which put him on the hook for child support... Hey, if you are in doubt, DO NOT put your name on the birth certificate.

My heart goes out to this man! All these years he’s worried and wondered about this baby. And now finding out he’s not the father how heartbreaking. I hope this young lady learns to have empathy for people and not be so synical of people in the future. Not everyone has bad intentions in the world.

This broke my heart 💔 Mr Hampton was a genuine man who was just looking for the little girl he believed was his daughter 😢. The fact he celebrated her birthday every year, kept her pictures, searched for her just to find out he had been lied to. It isn't his fault, her birth mother destroyed so many lives with her lies 😔, she knew there was a chance he wasn't her father but instead of telling him the truth she lead him to believe his daughter had been adopted. Kayla needs to have more sympathy for him yes he is not her biological father but he believed he was 😭, there was no need to be so rude. I can understand she probably has issues but having compassion for another human being costs nothing but it could mean everything to them. Mr Hampton I am so sorry things turned out the way they did & I hope you can move on with your life now, treasure the children you have you're an amazing father & they are very lucky to have you in their lives 💙

The adoptive parents did not get the child support. The Bio mom needs to answer some questions. He did not say he paid for twenty years. Child support stops once adoption is finalized
Supermanis4real Pastor Dixon He didn’t pay for 20 years, he paid until her legal adoption went through. I think they were a little unclear about this in the show. The state takes the money & uses the money to offset the costs to pay for the child in foster care. Once the adoption went through which I suspect was at 2 years old when he flew back to Alaska & he got the picture from her Mom he stopped paying ( and he would have had to sign over his parental rights nobody is talking about this )
he NEVER said he paid child support for 20 years.....also you only pay until the child turns 18....the adoptive parents did NOT get the money....that's not how it works.....educate yourself

@@midlifemenopausalmukbangs815 He didn't have to sign over his rights because they were terminated. You can't adopt a child unless the parents sign over their rights or their rights are terminated. It's the law.

The daughter he was searching for is the young woman here in court, but she's not his he was supporting her but DNA has proven she's not.. SO THERE IS NO DAUGHTER TO BE FOUND. His seach has been fruitless. He was told he had a daughter but he doesn't.

You could see when that picture of her at 2 come up she kinda melted. She was aggravating me during the first half, not gunna lie, but I believe she just didn't want to know or care to. No that doesn’t excuse her mom for sleeping around. But not everyone can keep a child, you may think you’re ready but then are battling your own issues. The dad didn’t have a say. She’s making it seem like it’s all his fault and that he had full control of the situation. I think that she loves her mom and I get that but she doesn’t want leave her and she thinks it’s going to take something away from her to build a relationship with him if that could’ve been her biological dad. Her attitude was terrible. He was just a guy trying to find his adopted daughter. Who he hasn’t seen in 20 years. That says a lot about him as a person. The least she could’ve done was be humble and polite.
Maybe that's why her mom gave her up; because she knew he wasn't the father, probably didn't know who the real father was and didn't know how to deal with it.

Social Services/CPS, foster care/Adoption agency and the courts really show a large sign of corruption with these kids and families. The way they take kids and pass them around is a hot mess for society. Its good to know this lady had loving parents who raised her. She is a beautiful strong female.

The adoptive parents don’t receive child support from the birth parents whatsoever because those children don’t legally belong to the birth parents anymore as per termination of parental rights… that’s how adoption works. The birth mother was scamming this man and the state, or he’s legitimately not telling the truth about child support.
The judge doesn’t need to ask about child support because the adoption of Kayla severs any legally binding support of both the biological mother and potential father as most adoptions are closed adoptions meaning you have to petition the adoption agency from both sides once the child is legally old enough to confirm if they are related on paper.
The state was probably receiving it, especially if she was in foster care.

He paid child support, his name is on the Birth certificate, he named her Kayla, he knew her birthdate, her birth mother supposedly gave him Kayla's picture. One should not assume anything by her attitude. She has only known one set of parents her entire life, and this gentleman made contact with her out of the blue, telling her that she was his biological daughter. I think she was trying to protect herself. How would you feel if someone came to you and told you that they were your biological parent? Having been through that myself, it's frightening to think that you don't know who someone is, but they have convinced themselves that you are their child. I too had to go through a DNA test to prove that claim false. I cannot speak for anyone but myself, but I was relieved when I was able to prove that the "stranger" was not my biological father. I understand that he has spent a long time looking for his child, but people have to understand that when he made contact with her, it threw her world into turmoil. Ok so she isn't as welcoming as some would be, but some adopted people do not want to know about their biological parents. Seems to me like he sort of pushed himself into her life, especially when he went to her social media and made a public post. We also knew that he had not made any contact with the adoptive parents. A lot of lives were affected. She doesn't have to be friendly with him. She has every right to be reserved and distant until the DNA results are in. Self preservation is a natural defense mechanism that humans have. You can't just drop into someone's life and expect a good result. My heart goes out to him because he wanted, and convinced himself, that she was his child. I hope that he will be able to find his daughter and hopefully begin to build a healthy relationship with her. I am equally sure that she has no ill will towards him, as obvious from the emotional reaction that she had. It's just a very unfortunate situation . My heart goes to both parties, it's definitely life altering to suddenly get such a shock. She's probably been through far more emotional stress about this than anyone knows.

I am just going to put this out there. I have seen on several occasions where the biological mother will get a large sum of money from an adoption agency and the biological mother will give false information and pretend they don’t know the biological father so that the adoption could be pushed forward. I’m not saying this was the case but working for a social service agency the shenanigans are real

I didn’t care much for this girls attitude. I grew up the same as her , I was adopted when I was months old. 12 years later I found my maternal side of my biological family. I know nothing about my biological father and I wish I did. So her stuck up attitude bothers me. I wish my father came looking for me, I wouldn’t act like that.

I hope you and your father find each other. But we can't expect for other people to feel the same about their biological mother and father. Adopted children should be able to be adopted and happy with there adopted families with out making them feel bad for not searching, or even wanting a relationship with there biological families, because at the end of the day they are strangers and did not raise them. We can't expect them to want the same as us. She did not want them to be looking for her and that doesn't make her a bad person. Her perents made the mistake not her and they can't expect her to be open arms just because they feel bad.

I can understand her anger at the situation she’s in, but she’s incredibly disrespectful, not just to Mr. Hampton, but in the way she speaks with the judge. The longer this case went on, the more I disliked her and her adopted mother. She raised a spoiled, nasty brat who has no regard for the honest feelings of other people. And I REALLY wanted the audience to stop clapping. They know nothing and just applauded whatever sounded good at the time.
