Teacher Yan, do you have any idea about the follow up questions if you have immediate family members in the US like siblings? What should be the correct way to answer it? Thank you so much!
Hello po. I’m a Bachelor of Music graduate po. I passed an interview and was hired na po from one of the schools sa USA. Waiting for my contract na lng po. The position that I was hired on is ‘Music teacher’ for high school in the USA. I have 3 years of experience teaching in a private elementary school on Music subject here in the Phils. But, I don’t have license po kasi I didn’t take LET po. However, my employer(school superintendent) in the US knew at the first place na I don’t have a license kasi I told him during the interview, but he still hired me. Do I still have that possibility to enter USA? Would my case be an obstacle in the American Embassy? Thank you so much po! God bless!
Actually po, they never asked for a copy of our PRC ID or something. As long as the credential evaluation shows that your units are qualified, okay na po. Also, your service records showing that you have been teaching fulltime.
Hi. Schools usually have elective courses which may include accounting and entrepreneurship, so I guess that may be an option for you. Just make sure that along with your business degree, you have sufficient education units to qualify for the program.
Ms Yanie, I will have my interview this June.. My DS19 s just for a year, what will be my response if the consul ask me how long im gonna stay in the US?
Hi, po. It really depends on the programs that the school offers and on your major. But with the visa sponsor I'm with, we do not have a teacher with TLE as his/her major.
hello po, ma’am. I’m not sure if this reply is timely pa but just be honest about it po. Just give the information that they’re asking and nothing more.
Hi maam, is it true that there will be a driving test upon arriving in the United States and in case you failed you will go home and shoulder all the expenses going back?
Hi po ma’am, I can only speak for what my Visa Sponsor does. FACES does give us like a “driving test.” One of the staff would make us drive around the hotel but I’ve never heard of anyone being sent home because of bad driving.
Teacher Yan, hello. I already have an evaluated TOR and reciprocity license from NMPed, accepted po ba yan sa FACES or do they have partners for it? I am an applicant but so far, puro pa declined ang mga applications q. I have no MA, so I am going to enroll in MA in SPED next semester so I can up my qualifications. I have 31 years of experience teaching elementary but I think it's not enough.
Wow sa 31 years of experience po, ma’am! Salary here in the US is computed based on your years of experience and highest educational attainment. As to the evaluation, as long as translated to US credit system po and you can always ask to be sure.

Hello teacher! I hope this message finds you well. As a dedicated fan and subscriber, I regularly follow your TH-cam videos and deeply appreciate your insights. I am reaching out to seek your valuable advice regarding my career. I passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and worked as a licensed public Secondary English teacher with the Department of Education (DepEd) from 2013 to 2019. Since then, I have been an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in Japan. I am now exploring teaching opportunities in the United States and would greatly appreciate your guidance on the best steps to take. Specifically, would you advise pursuing Special Education (SPED) units to enhance my chances of being hired? I understand that SPED teachers are in demand, and that it might be more challenging for Secondary English teachers to secure long-term positions and an H1B visa compared to SPED teachers. Your insights would be immensely helpful as I navigate this decision. Thank you very much for your time and advice. Sincerely, Nelson
Good day po ma’am. Nag apply po ako sa EPI ask lang po sana ako if yung 2 interview po ba ay isang J1 Visa at school’s district interview? Thanks po. Appreciated po masyado.
The timeframe depends on the earliest visa schedule available which is NOT electronically drawn. You pay the fee and book the visa interview sched yourself.
That really depends on your sponsor. I know some allow the J1 to bring their J2s right away, while others wait a certain amount of time before they can process for their J2 to fly to the US.
This is one of the best videos I've watched being an aspiring J1 visa Teacher...

Teacher Yan, do you have any idea about the follow up questions if you have immediate family members in the US like siblings? What should be the correct way to answer it? Thank you so much!
The correct answer should always be the truth po. And if they ask it that way, just answer yes or no unless they ask for more details.
So helpful, thanks a ton!❤

hi po, ask ko lang ano po yung mga requirements na require sa embassy? thank you.
Hello. Teacher yan, can u make video also about the Q and A in the USA immigration or port of entry. Thank you.
You'd be surprised of how easy that one is sir. All you need to know is your type of VISA, purpose of going to the US. That's it.
Thank you Teacher Yan 🤗

Hello teacher Yan. What if my relative in the US is just my mother's half sister and family? Do I need to declare them?
If you don’t share the same last name, I guess it’s okay not to. This is just my opinion, though, so please take it with a grain of salt ☺️
Which sponsor did you use ?
FACES ☺️
❤️❤️❤️
Hello! Need po ba ng proof of funds?
You have to bring it with you to the embassy just in case they ask for it (although this seldom happens for J1)
Hello madam please I will like to know the difference between these two question ...1) who you have an Agency? 2) WHO IS YOUR SPONSOR
I don’t have an agency; I only have a visa sponsor which is FACES

Is it okay if we say ' No' to the question regarding relative even if u have one in USA??
That would be risky since chances are they already know the answer even before you asked, especially if close relatives.
Hi Yan
My cousin resides in New York, but I am not in touch with her.
So when they ask the relative question, what should I answer.
Do be safe and honest, just say you do ma'am. If they ask for details, tell the truth, that you're not really in talking terms or something.

It won’t be. I also have my aunt and cousins here ☺️

what is DS 2019
You can watch this video for reference: th-cam.com/video/C4KNfD8ffo8/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
What is DS?
It's a type of US document, ma'am
How about taking spouse and child of the applicant? What are the processes that an applicant must undergo?
That really depends on your sponsor. I know some allow the J1 to bring their J2s right away, while others wait a certain amount of time before they can process for their J2 to fly to the US.
What are the credentials evaluation?
It is basically translating your transcript of records to the US points system as one of the bases for your salary.
