Those trips are hard work but well worth the effort. I live just north of the park outside of Quetico. That's my backyard 😉

Might have to make that stuffing, chicken & gravy meal next time. Looked delicious! Nice work on the fish, impressive large mouth! Were you guys using minnows or leeches?

Leeches. One packet stove top stuffing, one 1/2 pound bag of chicken, 1 or 2 McCormick gravy packets depending on how saucy you want it. Feeds 2-4.

I watched your rescue video and it was really something. It is good that you retrieved all of your gear but excuse me, did you really do a four day trip on a day permit?

No, that would be against the rules. We got a day permit to retrieve our gear the next day. Then, the day after that, we got a new overnight permit for a different entry point.

PLEASE keep the pan-sized. Put the big-breeders back.

We did. All of the large fish were released after photo ops. Thanks for watching!

It literally shows him releasing the big ones. Did you not even watch it?

There have been numerous studies in recent years on the survival rates of catch-and-released fish. If every thing is done properly, a released fish has about an 84 to 98 percent chance of survival. If not, the survival rate drops significantly.
The Author’s handling of the two impressively large Bass in this video was unforgiveable. The comment I left was intended to be short and non-combative. The comment I should have left is: Stop KILLING our Breeding Adult Fish MEARLY for the sake of YOUR Photo Ops.
