I just re-read the press information, and it specifically says "A new speed limiter function on Svartpilen/Vitpilen 125 and Svartpilen/Vitpilen 401 → option to restrict maximum speed to use it as a cruise control functionality". It's a bit unclear to me - are they suggesting to set a limit and then just keep the throttle wide open to approximate cruise control? Or does it have cruise control? Just contacted their UK team to clarify but I'll pin this for others to see in the meantime 👍
I think it is just a limiter on you bike's maximum speed when you use your throttle (not like cruise control where you dont have to touch the throttle), that is what is there on duke 390 2024 same thing here.
@@motobob I don't think ANY manufacturer would attempt to convey "cruise control" to a customer base with such crazy terminology. At least not that I've seen yet, and I've been all over manufacturers' sites of just about every single brand on the planet. I have see this "speed limiting" function as a feature on other brands, but it's not cruise control. You still have to grip the throttle tube and twist/hold. It just won't allow the engine to pull the bike past a given preset speed... like a pit limiter.
Still prefer the sharper blocky look of the husqies over the new curvy looks 😀 There were some real emotions behind that design. Things might never feel the same 🥲
The svart 401 was my first bike. I didn’t know what I had but it was a fun, albeit small, thumper. Such great equipment though! The wheelbase extension is a good adjustment.

I had a 2019 401 Svartpilen from new and it seems that Husky have listened to all the owner's gripes and made good on them - looking forward to taking the new model for a spin.
As a Svart (2nd gen) owner, I always thought the Vit was more popular and now they’ve taken away the differences. I think the evolution of the Svart is really nice, looks like a chunkier bike now and all around more user friendly.
I pulled the stock Eurofender off my 2017 FZ-09. You wouldn’t believe how heavy those things are. If you dont like the platypus beak sticking out the back, you can still do a tail tidy.
Yeah I gotta say, as a '22 Svart owner these styling changes are looking verrrry dulled and "safe". HOWEVER! The changes in tech and oh my dear lord, fuel capacity, are definite upgrades. Going to flat handles on the Vit is probably the single smartest thing they've done though. When I was waiting months for my Svart to arrive, the dealership had 25+ Vitpilens that they were trying to offload by swapping the handlebars and offering a fuel tank rack haha. Glad to see they kept the Pirelli Scorpions on the Svart. I cant believe how capable these tires have been on and off road.
This is very cool, with a little luck the dash could be fitted on a previous gen svartpilen, would be awsome. The extra tank capacitty is also a nice upgrade
I really like the concept of this bike, would be dope if they had a small 270° twin. Will maybe get one as a second bike one day. The new Whitearrow looks great
My Svart 410 is coming up three years old and it's a great little hooligan city bike. However, the round dash panel is a let down. This new dash panel looks like a great upgrade and I'd fit one immediately if it was a straight swap. And the extra tank capacity would be good but I've managed OK on the smaller capacity of my bike.
The tank capacity is a big plus but I prefer the old look, specially for the 2018 vitpilen 401, and to be honest the looks is my main purchase point on this types of bikes.
Love the all-new bikes. Kudos to Husqvarna for the upgrades and revisions. I wish clip-ons are still an option for the Vitpilen, it would look really cool with all that revisions.

Its been 7 years where's the aero . It makes the old bike look like the updated bike . The old bike just needs a longer lower seat length and bigger tank with all the 2024 Duke's updates, the old head light was perfect.
I had a Svartpilen 125 to learn on - I now ride a Svartpilen 701. I love the new TFT dash, new tech, and bigger tank, but agree that they have lost a bit of their character. Prefer the looks of outgoing models, more edgy and unique!
I like the previous design. It is a little uncomfortable for shorter people, but it had a character wiht that shorter seat. This one looks a lot like a harley x440. I might be wrong, though, as looking at it live would change my mind.
I've waited a few years for the styling to become acceptable to my eyes but alas still no joy. However, from reading the comments these bikes seem to have a good following and somewhere to go.
Questions: Does it vibrate like mad, make your hands go numb and your vision go blurry at higher RPM? Does the ergonomic package fold the rider up into a stupid awkward position? Because if "yes" to either of these questions, why would I pay the premium for the quirky brand name?
Someone needs to get started on an exhaust reroute immediately. Under slung exhaust on a “scrambler” is extra stupid. They really should have just put all the upgrades into the old styling and let it exist for a while longer.

more saddle space for a passenger?
Nice! Photos are taken in Bergen, Norway.
This two bikes have always looked appealing to me, but I never see them with bags or anything to make them more practical or for a weekend getaway.
Æææ, the video in the background is shot in my home town!
Bergen, Norway
It is worth mentioning that the engine size is now a much more appropriate 399cc and not 373cc.
Its been 7 years where's the aero .
It makes the old bike look like the updated bike .
The old bike just needs a longer lower seat length and bigger tank with all the 2024 Duke's updates, the old head light was perfect.
Much better looking for sure.
They need to bring back the 701. I want one so bad.
Interesting, so the new Duke shortened the wheelbase and these extended the wheelbase
They will probably still put incandescent turn signals for the US market.
Previos generation looks much better
I had a Svartpilen 125 to learn on - I now ride a Svartpilen 701. I love the new TFT dash, new tech, and bigger tank, but agree that they have lost a bit of their character.
Prefer the looks of outgoing models, more edgy and unique!
My hometown 🥳 Bergen, Norway 🇳🇴 ❤
Really needs tubeless tyres as no centre stand to get the wheel off to get at the tube😢
I like the previous design. It is a little uncomfortable for shorter people, but it had a character wiht that shorter seat. This one looks a lot like a harley x440. I might be wrong, though, as looking at it live would change my mind.
Cute looking little bikes, I love kTm😁.
Still seat length is short.. seating height is 20 mm longer than what it should be and stands are not included. Rear tyre hugger is missing
I've waited a few years for the styling to become acceptable to my eyes but alas still no joy. However, from reading the comments these bikes seem to have a good following and somewhere to go.
is the spoked tyre tubed or tubeless?
Listen the video again and you have your answer!
Going to say the same comment on all reviews of these new models. Why can’t we get a 901 and 1401?
disappointing that there is still no news on the larger 901/ 801 versions.
Questions: Does it vibrate like mad, make your hands go numb and your vision go blurry at higher RPM? Does the ergonomic package fold the rider up into a stupid awkward position?
Because if "yes" to either of these questions, why would I pay the premium for the quirky brand name?
Look way better than the last gen. Really like how smoother and bigger it has evolved into.
Some changea are most welcome, like the tank capaciry, ground clearance and tech.
But the design change is taking a lot away.
What's the Ground clearance of new svartpilen 401?
Same as 3rd gen KTM Duke 390
18cm
Someone needs to get started on an exhaust reroute immediately.
Under slung exhaust on a “scrambler” is extra stupid.
They really should have just put all the upgrades into the old styling and let it exist for a while longer.
