- Explored two new vegan cafes & a great farmer's market that opened recently with one of my friends. It's wonderful seeing the growing plant-based community here in Okinawa.

800-920 yen is pretty cheap actually, it costs 2-4 times as much where i work in Sweden.
oh wow! we are very grateful that it is pretty affordable here!
Thanks for sharing what a wonderful video. I wish I was there :-) I’m a small vegetable grower in Kansas who is interested in the food in Okinawa Japan. I would really love to meet someone that’s a vegetable grower there. I would like to learn what they use for fertilizers and gardening techniques. I had three other countries save my life telling me the truth about the farm spray I live next to that has destroyed my farm. So I’m constantly seeking for nutrition and food. My fifth year on the vegan diet. I grow as much as my own food as possible in my geothermal greenhouse. Being raised as a farm kid eating meat and potatoes it was quite a change. But I will never go back my health has restored and continues to get better.
Wow that's so amazing! I would love to get better at being able to grow my own food! There is a ton of farming in Oki, which is awesome bc it means there is a lot of local produce to choose from :) the plant-based life is not what I grew up on either, but I am so happy to learn, grow, and feel better just as you have by it!
@@EcoFlightAttendant If you ever fly into Denver Colorado I’m 2 1/2 hours into Kansas with a small little town of 1500 people. I’m a vegan surrounded by wheat corn Feedlots dairies all the things I don’t eat anymore :-) when I grow as many vegetables can and try and plant more each year. Loving my geothermal greenhouse fresh greens in the cold is amazing.
I miss Okinawa... Stationed at Camp Foster Aug74-Sep75. Long time ago.
Loved the content! Definitely will check these places out once the restrictions are lifted.
I'm so sad there are restrictions again! hopefully things get better soon :) these places are both great! Rotton has outdoor dining too, so hopefully that will come back quickly
