Okinawa is such a beautiful island. I used to live in Okinawa for 2 years, and I loved it. The castle in Okinawa is beautiful as well. Sarah I'm so happy you did a new video on Okinawa, because it is a lovely island.

Cape Manzamou was great. We went there by public bus, walked up the hill from there, were surprised about the building, too. Did you see the "Okinawa Park" T-Shirt design with the poisonous animals in the shop on the 2nd floor? Then walked back from there along the bay to the hotel for like 2 hours - worth it! We didn't make it to the American Village because the bus was late - more late than they always are. Decided to go back to the hotel after Ryukyu Park. Bad weather when we wanted to go to the Blue Cave. The beaches were closed by the end of the week but the dinner buffet was open! We ate so much food! Goya tempura, Beni Imo tempura, Mozuku seaweed, Sea Grapes. Next time: Miyakojima.

Thank you for your video. Fun facts: Brazil has the largest population of Japanese people outside Japan and a strong connection with Okinawa as a lot emigrated from there. Japanese scholars interested in studying the Okinawa dying dialect go to Brazil for their studies as now there are more people there that speaks it than in japan itself.

I’m staying around Naha. More specifically Itoman. I see it’s very far away from the aquarium. Any suggestions on how to get to and from there? Like buses or trains or ferries? Also which of the activities here are close to that spot?

Sarah hi! I still don't understand Okinawa is a separate state or is it an ordinary prefecture of Japan? I just talked to one person and he said I am a citizen of Okinawa. And he said it as if it were a separate state
It's an ordinary prefecture of Japan (one of the 47 prefectures)! I kind of get why people would they are a citizen of Okinawa because it's so far away from other prefectures. You almost always have to pay extra fees for shipping 😂
Okinawa became Japan in 1972. As it is, it is a country called Japan now. But people in mainland Japan and people in Okinawa have different ethnic groups. The DNA is different. Mainland Japan is an ethnic group mixed with some blood from Korea, Mongolia and China. On the other hand, Okinawans do not have the Korean, Mongolian, and Chinese blood written above.
The people of Okinawa are Ryukyu people, ancient Japane
