Hi Sir..., On a regular basis, I watch yr NX videos n learn from it. Can you pl make separate video on (hope you will).. How to Start and Finish: Global Shaping, X-Form and I-Form. Shaping/ Morphing within specific small profile like; Round, Ellipse, Square and Rectangle.. Similar like Dinner plate.. Thanks in advance
suppose we need to provide edge blends at the intersections, for that we have to individually select all the corners.. is there any method where we dont need to select individually and still get the blends.
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training Indeed. It consisted in basic figures modeling, drafting techniques, advanced modeling (this basket and a braided cable). Watching your video showed me it was easier and better achieved than how I did. Thanks
Catia has still more/better tools to structure a model, as you may know i.e. daimler tries very hard to implement their structured modelling method with nx, until now they have not succeeded. NX has made big improvements over the last 3-4 years, but they overload every command with options, which are basically not needed and there are still some very old and dated unigraphics commands, which by the way are terrible and need an overhaul. So for the moment I would say it is a draw.
Thank you for your answer Sir, for me NX is more complex, but much more flexible, synchronous technology is a great asset, check mate for more control of your design and much other thing that Catia doesn't have. I don't know about you but it seems to me that it's easier to do surface in NX than in Catia.
Yes NX is sadly more compley, that is not necessarily an advantage. The surface tools have way too many options. But catia sort of stands still - there are a lot of possibilities to improve catia - we will see what will happen ;)
Sir i watched this tutorial i am beingining student i have problem i pattern feature in along path datum planes pattern like something vertical on path
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training i have problem with studio spline and datum plans. Pattern feature tool as on along path i am following you but datum pattern is in vertical direction
I have seen this tutorial and so much easier to create this in Solidworks than in Siemens In Solidworks you don't need to create 10 planes in your curve
Hello, I was trying this model out. But, during pattern of the datum plane, there occurs an error and the datum plane occurs only at one instance instead 10 instances. Please let me know whats the actual problem. Does it really matter that the spline should be specific? BTW, I'm trying this out in NX 10.0. Reply would be appreciated. Thanks
best tutorial I ever had fro CAD.
please continue doing both CATIA & NX
Thanks for your praise, I will continue with all 8 programs.
Wonderful. I like your vision. please make more videos.
thanks Sir !!! i learned more and more from your channel.
Great, you´re welcome

I consider it, but my commercial NX Licence doesn´t include X-Form etc. So I will have to use the "Learning Edition"
Nice tutorial
Thanks :)
Nice technics to learn from you.
Thanks, you´re welcome
Hey Mr. Walden, how can I get really good at NX cad like you are ??? Any tips ????
LOL practice, more practice and even more practice
Thank you for your share! It's very helpful to me!!!
Great!
very good videos my friend!
Thanks!
Thanks :)
Very good knowledge in this video
Thanks :)
Thank you sir.
you´re welcome
Very informative! Thank you a lot)

Thanks!
Hii sir can you explain the electrical routing in NX CADD
sorry, no nx licence for that.

You could use an edge filter. But you can´t specify the edges you want and the ones you don´t want.
Thank you!
you´re welcome
This was part of my NX11/12 certification exam. Take note guys
That´s interesting, really?

need to know that is it possible to use pattern feature on irregular surface like surface made by surfing of rectangular bottom to round top?
Should be possible - but therefore I would have to see model.
Thanks for the info sir👍

Sir within a little time you make complex design into a simple way
🙂
NX is best software!
At the moment I would say it is a draw between catia and nx ;)
Where do you see that Catia excels NX?

I have nx 10 in class
Sorry, I don´t understand what you want to do, please elaborate.
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training i tried make this plastic basket in nx 10 but i have some prolem to make this
Do exactly the same and it should work. What would be the problem?

Itz very nice sir..

I could do the simple solution, which I did i.e. in solidworks, in NX as well. This is not a best practice video but an exercise.
Sir..
My kind request you to design a turbine with casing.
There is already a "turbine" video on my channel.
very good
Thanks!

Is it possible in nx 9 version
Should be possible, but I have no nx9 license anymore to check, sorry.
