I have practised this same surface model in my "dell latitude i7 7th gen" it was wonderful experience for me. Thanks a lot for this video Mr.Wolfgang Walden. please keep posting...
Drafting instructions were amazing. If possible, I would like to know that how did you start conceptually i.e. the design you had in mind, how did you put those in to feature into numbers/calculations and then to NX ? Thank you in advance.
I cant revolve the curve in the beginning like you do (2:10)... I tried everything but it doesnt look like yours. My shape is not that curved like yours and i cant revolve in "Y" like you did, just in "X" otherwise it cant be created. It just looks flat... Hope you can help me :/
My Laptop CPU died a little when you applied the pattern feature. NX really doesn't like big stacks of geometry being applied at once. It's a nice tutorial, but I'd recommend to keep a placeholder in your Assemblies unless you can live with tremendous Performance Issues.
Hi, yes I know, it is a marvelous tool, but sadly I have no license. It is not included in The NX Learning Edition and it is not included in my commercial License. So I can´t do any videos, sorry.
Mr Walden I have a question - coming from a Fusion 360 background where I have components and bodies, I would like know if there is a way to design multiple bodies (parts) in NX that share sketches (for ease of dimensioning and fitting) and then assemble those parts in one whole. I'm struggling with grasping the recommend workflow for NX, however it's obvious to me that there must be a smart way to design complex geometries comprising of multiple bodies/parts. Kind regards, and thank you for all your tutorials.
Thank you for the tutorial. With regards to the hexagonal patterning( after creating the first 6 hexagons). The spacing is small between the hexagons on the top rows and gets larger as you go to the bottom of the the pattern. Is that intended or am I doing it wrong?
As I´ve mentioned in the description, you can´t cover a sphere with equally sized hexagons and equally sized spacing. There fore you have to sacrifice one or the other. Go for this solution : th-cam.com/video/tWLS16iNSeA/w-d-xo.html
Hi. Thanks for your videos. I´ve a question. When i try to trim hexangons with the projected rectangle, i got a message: "Circular dependency detected. did you try....?" How could i solve this issue? Thank you in advance.
Please not I´m not a clairvoyant, without knowing your model, how would I be able to give you decent advice? But I would try to change the dimensions of the rectangle.
I know its late but make sure the rectangle has no geometrical restriction with hexagons or something an also extraxt second body from revolve feature not first extracted one. You must get a warning while you are doing this (at 8:46 look at the right bottom of screen) then you will figure it out :)
Excellent tutorial. Very well paced, with clear explanation. Thank you.
Thanks for your praise 🙂
Super tutorial. Thank you Wolfgang for these videos.
Thanks, you´re welcome

Great :) I will try
Thanks for ur wonderful video sir😊
Love from India 👍

Awesome tutorial got to learn something new ❤👍
Great 🙂
Best channel..❤️❤️ keep going sir
thanks :)
Nice sir ... your explanation with doing drawings is very helpful for us...

You are great, thank you

Thanks sir for this tutorial

@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training Thank you.

I assume your rotation axis or the sketch plane is wrong.
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training Rotation axis... It worked, thank you so much!!!

You might need a faster notebook ;) Yes, i.e. big patterns sometimes causes a slowdown.
Really Good..
thanks
Sir! I don't find clock feature in pattern geometry?
hover your mousepointer over one of the mini-cubes in the preview of the pattern and klick right mouse button.
Nice video
Thanks :)
I really enjoy learning from your tutorials. I want to ask you, What is a Pitch angle?, you used dhen patterned the hexagon.
the option is "count and pitch" : number of instances and angle between the instances
Hi Wolfgang, do you know the new algorithmic modeling in NX?

@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training Is that because the tool's capability is limited ?
No, it is mathematical impossible!
Hi all, this procedure can be applied with several features?
Which procedure?
Thx for the tutorial Mr. Walden... im wondering if it is possible to cover a parabola with equally (or not) sized hexagons ?
What would be a parabola? A curve or a shape?
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training My fault...I mean a shape (surface)
@@carlobasso876 That´s not a fault, I don´t know , I assume not possible.

Nice sir finally i find it thanks for your greate job. I have one qus? Which domain r u working.
I´m a trainer for CAD - software.
Hello Mr. Walden I watch videos, all are very useful,
Can you please upload a videos nx expression I'm from injection molding background
Thanks you:)
There are some videos / exercises with expressions in my channel. Is there a specific problem with expressions?
like number 100 :)
Great :)
Why do you need to "extract geometry"?
Sorry, I did this video about 9 months ago, so without the time stamp I can´t recall.
sir plz make an video how to installed nx in pc
Start Launch-App - install the Siemens PLM Licence Server than NX. There is no need for a video, isn´t it?
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training Thats right, if you cant figure it out you probably cant work with nx either
Designing by NX is so complicated. With Inventor's Metal sheet just draw hexagon frame. NX should be updated more feature
You can´t compare NX to Inventor, sorry. NX is on a complete different and higher level.
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training Thanks for reply, I'm just beginner NX.
I am the first viewer
Congratulations! ;)
