When Jay Leno drove the Type S on his show, he kept saying, “This reminds me of my NSX.” Savagegeese say the gearbox is on par with the 911. I think what Acura have made is a 4 cylinder Super Car.
I think that’s a bit much lol. Reported cabin rattles after a few thousand miles, 0-60 times around 5.5-6 seconds, a lack of amenities you’d expect from the price point.. there isn’t much in the realm of super here. Honda has a great gear box, and every Honda has a Honda feel but as a multiple time Porsche and Honda owner, no way in hell is this anything to break the bank on.
Stop. Get some help
@@LateNightDateNightfacts! It isn’t anything special at all. It’s a plain-Jane 2.0T FWD sedan. Yeah, it can handle okay, and it’s 6spd feels good, but any set of sport suspension and SSK to any other FWD manual car, and it will feel just as good as this.
For that guy to say Acura has made a super car is the dumbest thing I’ve heard in a long time.
Imagine if this was rwd
@@layne437652k base price… I wish it was 45k that’s a better price for what you get, my opinion.
I owned the 2018 1.5 liter Si. I put 90,000 miles driving it from California to San antonio TX and Arizona. It's a great car. Zero maintenance issues.
i had the 2020 SI, 2 years and 32k miles - zero issues. had the 08 si before that 170k miles
I have almost 13,000 miles on my 2024 ITS and I love it as if I just got it yesterday. Almost got a 2023 boost blue Type R in 2022 but when this got announced I waited. Already had an Acura TLX at the time so I waited. Don’t regret it at all 👌🏽.
I have not been able to stop driving my ITS since taking delivery. Over 3000 miles in less than two full months and my commute is only 2 miles long. The last car I drove that felt this enjoyable and engaging was my 2002 1.8T Jetta I had when I first got my license.
This car really does feel special!
Definitely relatable. I’m looking for various reasons to drive around even if it’s just to pick up one small item from the store 😁
You must get lost a lot; no navigation, no rear seats air vents and no power seat for passenger.
@@c.d.willis4278who uses a vehicles navigation system today?
@@c.d.willis4278no civic has rear air vents, and no person under the age of 40 uses built in navigation, apple car play is just better no contest

I gotta say something I've truly enjoyed watching this video! The way you grasp my attention to all the details that you've found out about your vehicle makes me excited to buy one. Thank you and you've gained a new subscriber!
Mine was supposed to arrive on october here in canada but got it last week. So far, this is the car I would definitely keep for the long run. Had fk8 and some hyundai N and none of that can top it off. This is the most perfect, fun and reliable car you can buy in the market. No complaints, I just love it.
Love it! Very glad you got it sooner than expected.
How do you find the gas on it so far?
@@wesgomes9348 Why the heck are people paying this much money for a fwd 4-cylinder? I just dont get it. I work for Acura, own an fk8, and have driven the fl5 and Type S on the track during test days. These cars are so massively overpriced its insane. I ended up getting a really rare 2018 Focus RS for $31,000, and it has a fully built motor making 500whp, and a built PPG transmission. Night and day better car, and just as comfortable to daily. I also have an AWD 2006 RSX Type S, and let me just tell you, these new Honda's are NOTHING like the fun older variants. They are a bore in comparison. Everything that made old Honda's fun and enjoyable to drive, are gone now in these new Honda's. The super high revving engine and Vtec crossover.. Such a fun and raw driving experience. You get none of that. And you know what the best part of old Honda were? THEY WERE AFFORDABLE to normal people!
Not quite fair to call it reliable until it’s around longer..tlx just got a whole rod bearing recall
@@PrimeFRAG same platform as fk8 so…..
Excellent video, your editing and presentation is up there with the big channels. I'm watching all the ITS content there is (trying to push myself over the edge to buy one) and this video is the one that pushes me closest to the line. The driving dynamics are a given but your daily ownership experience was very enlightening
Thank you! Very kind of you to say that.
Phenomenal review! Very very thorough especially for day-to-day scenarios. Hats off of to you.
Top class quality. Camera, angles, sound and more importantly objective content. Please keep it up.
I love my LCM Type-S! Mine actually came in before I expected it to, but I am less than two hours from the plant. I agree with the HomeLink missing, but hard to really say anything I don't like about it. I traded an Integra A-Spec Tech that I had for under a year, that I traded an '18 Si in on. I almost passed on the car, I liked the A-Spec so much. I was scheduled for an oil change in the A-Spec on a Saturday when my salesman called to tell me they were going to build my car the next week, which would bring me to a decision. They had the demo on their lot on Saturday, and when I started it, my wife looked at me, and we both knew, and after a short test drive, the decision was firm! I picked it up the following Thursday, and had back surgery on Friday, but I'm driving it again and loving it!
What a great video your editing is second to none
that exhaust note is beautiful. thank you for that eargasm
Brooo this video is awesome in production quality with the editing and narration. It felt a bit like a documentary, which i enjoy. Keep it going!
Really appreciate this update. I've never spent this much on a car before but fell in love with the Type S when they first unveiled it. This video makes taking to my local Acura dealership a lot less worrisome and makes me even more excited to get on a wait-list for a 2025 model.
Thank you for the kind words! There will always be “better” cars but I honestly think this will be a future classic
The Integra’s interior ergonomic design is just about perfect.
2 years ago for my Birthday; I bought myself a 2005 Civic Si EP3
Silver with black rims, coilovers, intake and a lot to list (clean looking car).
Now I know what im gonna get my self for Christmas.
Great review! Test driving one tomorrow. Thanks.
Nice shots bro I see all the angles that I cannot see in other review. Looks amazing
we need people with money to buy this car like this youtuber otherwise it will become a sales flop
What we really need is this car to be cheaper. It doesn't belong in the $50k price range.
@@DragonKnightX12 It's a 38k car all day long.
@@forktheporkI would argue 45k even would be a fair price.
For 52K should have made the Integra a bespoke RWD platform or at least have their SH-AWD system.
THIS was a GOOD review! Thanks, really needed it.
Thank you! 😊🙏🏼🙏🏼
Your review hit me right in the feels... Thanks, Man! I love this car 🙂👍❣
Great job. Quality video
Great review! Great photography!
Beautifully shot video.
Great inputs, thanks for the video
Thanks for sharing. Great to see Honda (Acura) made another type S model. It brings back so much memories when I wish i had a civic type R back in the days.
Oops speak too much this is a Honda made vehicle. Nevertheless, great review
Thanks for sharing your ownership experience. I am very interested in acquiring one. I will be following you from now on.
Awesome review, I'm glad TH-cam pushed your channel to me! As someone who's been daily driving a truck for the past 3 years the itch for a small fun car is coming back hard. I see you have car seats in yours. I'll have two rear-facing ones, how would you say rear space is with the car seats? I know someone with an sti who has two rear-facing and it is TIGHT. Again, nice review!
Great video. Very informative!
Well done. Informative and engaging.
That front bumper with those black intakes have me drooling!
I just sat in one yesterday here in Doral, FL. It was pretty nice. "Only," a $5k mark-up on the 2 they had, but $63k out the door is crazy to me.
Ya'll gotta learn to be patient and wait till the market crash. The cars ain't gonna disappear 😂😂
Patience is definitely key but I'd be wary of "market crash" thinking.
@AutoEnthusedTV like I said be patient. You gotta be blind AF if think the economy ain't gonna crash. It literally happens every 10 years almost. The shit ain't rocket scientist lol. Govt literally does this shit time after time
Economic downturns happen all the time, I agree. But thinking that car values will plummet all of a sudden need not look further than the last two years. Regardless, I'm not here to talk about economics so I appreciate your insight.
I turned down a dealer who wanted 60k out the door. I ended up putting a deposit down on a Elantra N, and I’m so excited and saved nearly 30k
Great Review especially on the little things.
I picked up an a spec this year and I’ve absolutely loved it , my uncles raptor had some issues and I let him borrow it for the week while it was in the shop. Long story short he loved it so much he went and bought a type s lol so much more fun I think an upgrade is due soon 😅
I still have my 8th gen accord at 271 hp and im happy with it. Not too slow or too fast but the integra will always be a fan favorite in my book
Beautiful car and excellent review!
I love the new Integra type S!! I owned a 1988 RS integra and a 2000 Integra LS. I would love to own this one, obviously.
How do you not have more subscribers? Amazing video!
Nice looking car. Whenever I have to bring my MDX for a service/recall, I always drop by the showroom to check out th TLXTS and this ITS. It is so tempting. Someday.
Great review, I love this car.
Great review and filming! Superb quality. Can't wait for mine! (been told about a year or two wait in Canada...)
Thanks! What color did you order? Hope you get yours soon!
@@AutoEnthusedTV Ordered apex blue. I have the same car seat configuration as yours, so had to get out of my 22 brz and into a 22 Civic Si in the mean time while i wait for the Integra.
Great review. Thank you
Nice review, thanks. This car reminds me of my favorite car I’ve ever owned. That was a 1990 Acura Legend sedan with a 5-speed manual. That car was so comfortable and yet so much fun to drive, especially with the 2.7L V6 mated to a manual transmission. That engine was silky smooth as a sewing machine. This truly is a Legend reborn. Too bad it took Acura 34 years to do it.
Nice editting. Lets all thank Honda for still giving us a 6sp. Curious on what u think of lack of rear wiper esp in rain.
I just got a ITS, I agree with most of your comments. I’m installing a civic rear view mirror to add the home link
A week ago tomorrow I picked up my Platinum White Pearl Integra Type S at Valencia Acura in Valencia CA. Although I wanted a Civic Type R none could be found at MSRP or without ridiculous dealer add ons. My car was reserved for another customer who backed out last minute. I was sold the car at just MSRP. It did have a small ding on the top of the hatch which was promptly corrected before delivery. The passenger rocker panel was scratched but the dealer will replace it. Thankfully the part comes pre painted. I should have that swapped out hopefully next week. While there I'm having them install the Copper Accessory wheels. It's going to be sweet. I just love it. My past Integra was a 1996 GSR which I purchased new. I wish I still had it. I previously owned a 2019 Civic Type R in Championship White. Very nice video. Enjoy.
Paid 5k over Sticker for my Boost Blue FL5 last month. Its a beastly, amazing machine. Had alot of guys and girls compliment it already. I was pretty close of going with the blue ITS myself. I just loved the interior so much more in the Type R.
Really nice job! Probably the best quality filming and editing I have seen. Seriously, well done. The content is fantastic as well. Thanks for taking the time to share your thougths Im in the market for a type S. Still considering an RS3 or simply just giving BMW the residual buy out on my X5 x40i drive at the end of my lease in 6 months
I appreciate it! I was considering the RS3 too but the Integra suits my personality more.
yeah really like the hatch. Had a Golf R as a second car a few years but that car doesnt do "saturday date night very well" So looking for something sporty but can be a daily. Your road noise comment is a bit concering but to be expected. Can you take a business phone call without having to pull over..lol? Thanks again. Keep the great content coming@@AutoEnthusedTV
Yes, from my experience the microphone picks up calls quite well despite the noise. Thankfully, the ELS sound is so good that you hardly have to raise the volume to hear the other person. Usually I’m not even halfway on the volume and it’s already quite loud.
Car is definitely a looker. Nice review.
Great production! Great car
Sweet ride man!
Awesome video!
You didn’t mention the lack of rear vents which I think is criminal on a 50k+ car… your kids must love that feature! 🙃🤣
People are making too big of a deal of those rear vents IMHO. My kids are perfectly fine in the back even during the hot season.
Great review and nice car! I think Acura should have added a few more features since this is targeted more to a luxury buyer. Power passenger seat, cooled seats, moonroof, rear air vents, and rear usb ports would be great additions.
And all of those minus the cooled seats are already in the A Spec, so it's a bit disappointing to not have them in the more expensive trim
lack of cooled seats and moonroof are deal breakers for me at the price point.
I agree on those features which seem relatively small potatoes, though I don't care about a moonroof. I bought one anyway (Type S) and it is a really fun car.
All you said was can you please make it heavier and the body less rigid for cornering 😢 😂
@@thecamdenyard - but the S3 has them and still performs
I love my 24 Integra aspec with tech. I haven’t loved a car this much since my 05 TL.
Nice review. Have you had any issues with rattles or squeak?
God damn that looks incredible, almost tempts me to try fwd
Great review this is how i feel about my 2024 Chevy Trax 2RS no car is perfect but what is perfect for you ? thank you
Awesome video!! I need that Amazon cubby tray in my life. LCM looks so good and stealthy. Enjoy it in good health 🍻
Thank you, my man! I love your wheel setup. Seriously considering it!
I have driven mine for 2000 miles now and honestly I love everything about it. I am considering changing the steering wheel to the alcantara one as wheel. But indeed I do love my stock shifter.
Have you ever owned an Alcantara steering wheel? I'm more than happy they have leather again. The alcantara gets disgusting from your hand oils. Gets all matted down and gnarly. And it's pain in the ass to clean. I'm very happy I don't have to brush my steering wheels multiple times a week
I personally have yes. Did for about a year and it helped up pretty nicely. Still just slightly considering it. Don’t know if I actually would pull the trigger this time
Fantastic review and great job making this video!🎩🇺🇸
Thank you!
Really nice review. It’s clear that the ‘missings’ you believe the car should have are all beancounter cuts that produce additional income by their absence. It’s surprising they didn’t include those items in this competitive midsize sport segment.
9:55. That intersection is right next to the High school I went to. Pretty cool to see
My first car with a stick also first time driving a stick, 200 miles from dealer to home. Aside from the ghost reminding me they don’t have their seatbelt on in the backseat, really is a great car
I haven’t come across your channel until now but I am glad I found it. Great content. I’m particularly impressed by your audio/video quality (especially considering your modest subscriber count). I hope to see you continue to grow and increaes your production quality. Salamat po. 🫡
I have an Civic FD and i kinda like the tyres sound it feels more sporty to me 😂
I own one as well, and I think your review is spot on. What a great car. Powered passenger seat, as you said... come on!
Perhaps a dumb question, but what are the 2 nozzles/cameras in the upper corners of the grill?
Great review!! I was looking for a video of people who have driven it for some time on wether or not to go with this or a model Y and this def helped sway my decision
They’re not cameras but I believe those are the front parking sensors.
That was a great honest car review. Great video and commentary ... worth a "Subscribe".
The old Integra, bro that car was my life during such a memorable period in my life...
damn so jealous of you. My wife forced me to buy a Honda Pilot lol, I got 3 little ones@@schmiggidy
damn, the color grading is nice on this video
Just saw one of these today. Man, those rear over fenders are literally tacked on. They weren't even flush with the body of the car. The rear over fender had a gap between it and the body. WILD to see on a Type S with 300 miles.
I have a stock ‘95 integra and 2020 Si
And I love how the Si is better in every way but the Integra it just feels more raw and natural. I love driving the integra to redline. In the Si I’m scared to redline.
I ordered in March and got it in mid August - Red Pearl. Took it to The Tail of the Dragon within the first week. It handles a switch back like nobody's business. Sounds so good and goes so fast.
You would've enjoyed the Cherahola Skyway much more...
ok
06 RSX-S owner here. Had my car since 09. Absolutely love that Acura is continuing the Integra bloodline especially with the ITS. Unexpectedly though I still feel like hanging onto the RSX. Still very much love the way it feels to drive despite it being slow by modern standards.
The RSX is still a great car! It was one of my favorites when I was young. Happy to see you still enjoy yours
I had an '04 RSX Type-S for 11 years and over 300k miles. It was my favorite car I've ever owned, so stoked to get an Integra Type-S, hopefully next year.
These new Integras are not fast at all by today's standards. Look up the 1/4 mile times. 😂 Overpriced 😵💫
Was very close of going with a ITS but ultimately went with the CTR last month. They both drive very similarly(obviously) but the interior of the Type R is ultimately what sold me. Both vehicles have some features that the other vehicle doesnt have and vice versa so its all about what you want to compromise and rather have more when it comes right down to it. ITS has few more bose speakers, better exhaust, rear LED turns to name a few while the CTR has better seats, racing/S2000 style odometer, data log, bigger wing ,etc. They both are great cars either way.
Hey man great video. I have the same spec ITS and i love it! I noticed you have some sort of car seat cover to protect your seats. What is that called and where can i get it from? I have a car seat in the back as well for my son and I’d like to protect the seat. Thanks!
Thanks! I got the Diono Ultra Mat from Amazon
Thanks!!
This car is amazing for what it is. It just is.
Otay Lakes, Eastlake, Bowlero represent!
The trunk button isn’t a trunk release button but a trunk unlock button. It’s there so you can access the trunk without having to unlock the entire vehicle. And once it’s closed it is automatically locked again.
I learned that later on. It’s such a specific feature in a scenario that i will never use
Ok I am seeing some trends similar to my Corolla Hatch XSE. Lack of passenger power seats, no tray in the center console and no memory seats. Is it really that much more to add those? I am looking to upgrade the Corolla (while nice) to either an Integra Type S or TLX type S. I love the manual in my Corolla (not as much as my NSX) so I am leaning towards the Integra. One thing I thought would happen with driving a rev match manual system is it would mess up my driving of my NSX as far as remembering to blip the gas or heel-toe rev match that while driving. It did not happen. I guess my body just knows what car I am in and it happens automatically without thinking.
I’ve owned a few Acura Tsxs’ in the past. Loved them. High quality . Great cars. I actually really liked the integra as a kid but never could afford one. I currently have a c8. I think I’m going to buy one of these as well.
You only live once 😊 right?
Definitely a plus that you could customize your MODES.
You just earned a new subscriber. I’ve been waffling back and forth on a few cars including the CTR, GR Corolla, the TYPE-S and a short list of others. The fact this car is 100% American is all I need to hear. We are living in challenging times and I have to support what’s best for the current, and future state of my family. Means more now than ever in my lifetime… TYPE-S all the way now
so a $50k Civic, basically? I just don't see it 😂
Great video! What is the paint on your car? Thanks?
Liquid Carbon Metallic
I love my type s and I use individual with everything set to sport plus and suspension to comfort
Same!
I would put type R seats in this. But I would also take it to the track
I'm honestly grateful I have the A-spec w/ Tech CVT over this one - with the amount of features the omitted in the Type-S over mine. And 21 MPG that is rough... I can get almost 40 MPG regularly. It may not have as much wow-factor, but I certainly still have a lot of fun driving it regardless.
I had the A-Spec CVT (non-tech) as a loaner for a few days and I loved daily driving that car. Minus the extra features, it was just a solid, comfy, and fun car to drive during regular days.
Can you speak to how the car shifts when you are driving more spirited? I test drove an A-spec Integra a week ago with a manual and shifting at high rpm quickly, i found similar issues to what I had with my old FK8, which was that it tends to delay the engagement when you get on the gas after the shift and it seems like it just burns the clutch. Not sure if it's a delay valve in all Integras or what. I currently daily a 2023 BMW M3 in manual that I took delivery of in June, and while hopping back into that car feels a lot nicer than an Integra, it also cost me an extra $50k over the price of an integra. My requirements are turbocharged, 6mt 4 door daily driveable car and while I love my M3 I don't necessarily need this much car for a daily. Problem is I can't find an ITS anywhere to test drive so I'm struggling to get real info. Appreciate an owner's view
I believe you experienced what they call rev hang. It's due to use of a dual mass flywheel. It does take away from the fun of shifting your own gears, a bit.
I agree on the fuel tank. It needs a bigger tank
How much markups the dealer was asking?
Nice color choice!
Acura, if you're listening, I would have bought one of these if they came with a sunroof....
Great review!
Awesome awesome video
great car ! how is traction out of slow corners with the fwd ?
I've driven fwd on track. They all exhibit a push to the outside wall when accelerating out of a corner. The limited slip differential does help a bit but it doesn't replace a proper rwd or even a rear biased AWD system.
Great video!! How tall are you and your partner? Does having the child seats affect your front leg room?
about the delays they make the tlx and mdx type s there and make 1000 of a color at a time i didnt know about that til i saw a video on them making the different models
Great video!! I just took delivery of mine 24 hrs ago. Traded my FL5 for it. Anyone know if the ambient light only comes white in the DE5?
Thank you and congrats! Yes, the ambient light is only in white but I’ve seen people in the forums change them to red
I might consider this in the future although I hate that the tail lights remind me of my old 1st gen GenCoupe
It’s funny you mentioned this because I felt the same way. If we take a look at the design itself, it’s not bad but unfortunately we associate it with a much cheaper car from the early 2000’s because of it.
Signed up for the pre-order on May 14, and 4 months later, I've had very little communication at all and I only got 1 update after complaining about no updates. So far, I'm feeling pretty disappointed with this whole process. I would really love to have some kind of idea of when I could expect it to come in. I guess for some reason I was expecting that signing up for the pre-order meant that I would be getting one fairly quickly and I was not prepared for how long it would take.
I think a lot of people got screwed on the pre-order thing. I didn't even decide to buy one of these until August, but contacted a couple dealers to get on the list. 2 weeks later I got a call saying they got one in and the person who reserved it couldn't go through with it, was I interested? I went in the next day and bought it with a $699 markup. That was the end of August. Hopefully you get yours soon. They are nice cars and a lot of fun to drive despite what all the whiners on the intertubes say. Perfect car? No. But I'm still waiting to see a perfect car.
I had driven early 2000s NSX & S2000, if the shifter in this is similar it’s gotta be awesome
