  • Biochemist and bestselling author Michael Behe explores the key missing factor in Darwinian explanations of the complexity of life in Episode 5 of his series “Secrets of the Cell with Michael Behe.”
In this final episode, Behe gives a last consideration of the “X Factor” that appears to lie behind the wonderful, irreducible complexity of biology. That “X Factor,” he explains, is an intelligence inconceivably beyond our own.

I owe Michael Behe probably more than most. It was his book Darwin's Black Box that led me out of atheism and into the wonderful world of being a Christ-follower.

This series is amazing in the way it demonstrates the the very clear evidence now available to the expert chemist in a form which the uninitiated can grasp. Surely a thorn in the side of those who adamantly maintain the Darwin's Theory (in whatever modifed form) is the bedrock of biology.

What I liked about this series was, you didn't jump way off into the weeds, where truly complex features would leave no doubt by the viewer that Darwin's theories were wrong. You stayed close to the surface, and found rather simplistic forms of evidence for argument.
This helps the "not so in touch with science" observers to follow along and comparatively agree by the usage of basic fundamental argument..
    WELL DONE!!

Mike and team, so glad you've put this series together. I hope that many curious and truth seeking minds find it and dig deeper. I'm amazed at the ways scientific discovery is coming full circle to point toward a creator. What I find so satisfying about nature is the way it silently, but so clearly exclaims the beauty of the mind that created it. It seems its as deep as we want to dig, and beckons toward a choice, both obvious and illusive. I think your videos do a great job to highlight the many ways, both the naturalistic and the religious frameworks rely on different foundations of assumptions requiring faith.

I think we all should share these videos on our own personal pages on the internet. 52k subs is not enough. There's plenty of people out there who need to hear these messages and their wonderful scientists deserve a much bigger platform. None of the questions posed by Behe, Meyer, Tour etc have any reasonable explanation within mainstream science. Yet a lot of modern media and materialist atheists like to act as if there is. It's time to reveal the truth and fight back against the absurdity. May God be with you all😀.

Intelligent design seems to be the only rational and compelling, if not simply the obvious, answer to the highly ordered and systematic biological diversity, which we plainly see in our natural world. The complexity of living organisms, alone, would seem to indicate the intentionality and purposefulness that is to be found in ALL life forms. And, to then deny the stark reality of this, must require of one an enormous amount of faith; mostly unsupported, I would argue. For what we do find in the biodiversity, is not only the synchronicity and highly developed organization throughout its 'randomness', but what has been produced by this 'accidental' assemblage, one must thereby assume, is a fortuitous functionality exhibiting a purposeful cohesiveness and a superlative precision, something that is plainly exhibited in the entirety of nature, and which defies any and all odds.

A favorite question of mine for those who believe in the Darwinian view of evolutionism:
Can you think of one single example of anything of known origins that appears to have been designed (has multiple parts and a function - so we're not talking about the nature of purely chemical processes like crystal or snowflake formation) that in fact was not designed?

At some point we have to assume an uncaused 'cause' otherwise the goalposts just keep moving backwards. That is where the 'I am, that which I am' statement when moses asks God to name himself is so profound and timelessly powerful.
If you are the source of all that 'is' you cannot convey the nature of who or what you are by reference to anything you have created.
You would simply have to say 'I am'
That may or may not help answer your question. From the Christian perspective you will need to go down the 'credo ut intelligam' route - 'I believe, in order that i may understand'
      Faith is required!!

kez Yay - No one has ever written “a good book” to actually “explain” the patently absurd notion that an entire self-sustaining balanced biosphere/ecosystem could have BEGUN to “evolve” let alone ACTUALLY evolve. How about a “good book” that could possibly ATTEMPT to show, STEPWISE, just how the heart, the entire circulatory system of arteries and veins, and the blood itself could have MINDLESSLY “evolved” over the course of MILLIONS of millennia? That would be a nice start. Let alone how male and female evolution carried on for the same period while NO reproduction was yet possible. Then magically one day, the lucky couple got the idea: hey, let’s try making the next generation a little differently! If it works, we’ll call it SEX. The entire idea is absurd. It was DOA.
