    Great review, I bought my wife a loaded lounge and we both love to drive it. One reason it handles so well is the koni FSD shocks. Your reviews are great, I bought a 2014 MKZ hybrid after watching your review (Great car). The 500x has been very reliable, fun to drive and has the best interior of the class.

    Great review, Alex. Again you show why your reviews are the ones others should be measured against. I have a 2017 Fiat 500L Trekking and I love it! Peppy, great visibility and interior, and the Beats audio and full length moon roof are a big plus. Fiats are still suffering from the perception of poor quality, but I had a 2012 Abarth and now this 500L and it has been nothing but scheduled maintenance. Thanks again!

    We bought two fiat 500s in 2012. Put over 100,000 miles on each... no problems. We bought a 2017 500l and 500c pop. So far no problems..... don’t believe everything you read. And our dealership is great..

    I have a 2018 500X Lounge - now have 44,000 miles on her 4 yrs old. I love this vehicle - more than enough power - sporty - handles like a dream - I do a fair amount of driving on " off pavement " dirt - gravel - loose rock - handles great - The only expense has been basic maintenance - I'm now considering my first set of tire replacement.

  • @richardbutton1261

    Holding out for the 19s they've improved the dash, Infotainment system, interior somewhat, suspension and tires, and engines. I would get one just for the sake of having something you dont see 50 of every day.

  • @SNESmapper

    Great review, the 500X looks great especially that brown leather interior. Unfortunately the gas mileage is very poor but other than that it looks like a solid entry in the class.

    • @honestbutugly
      @honestbutugly 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      mine is a treking plus with all wheel drive, and like a lot of new cars has a few flaws and does dumb shit, like the windows go down when you push up. The ride quality doesn't near compare to my 17 year old lincoln TC. Had a baby fiat went to get it serviced came home with a jeep in sheep clothing instead, will wait to see if that was a mistake

  • @johnhendry4100

    As always, great review, Alex! I have reviewed my fair share of modern Fiat products, and they have proven to be quite spunky and quirky vehicles.
    I unfortunately have never had the chance to review the 500x. Based off of your very detailed, and comprehensive review... It has proven to be a pretty neat entry in it's class!

      Chris Jacks Looks like he doesn't even waste time on vehicles that would score so low across the board.

    • @rnunez6398
      @rnunez6398 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good point @Mario Whyte. I would agree and add in reply to @Chris Jacks' question that if something Alex reviewed was worthy of a "D' or an "F" he would probably self-censor and not post a video of it. Trashing a car (however deserved) would probably result in Alex not getting any more vehicles from that brand or manufacturer.

    • @MrRailroader03
      @MrRailroader03 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well not the entire car, just in a particular category. And if he can't be honest then why have reviews in the first place. Other reviewers are somewhat harsh on test vehicles but the manufacturers still sends them cars and trucks to review. TFL is one example.

    • @rnunez6398
      @rnunez6398 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hear what you're saying. For example, say the rear seat room is inadequate although the vehicle may have other redeeming features.

      fiat is really big on a global scale, they are small in America. their subsidiaries such as Maserati, Chrysler ,Dodge, Ram, etc.. do well in America.

    • @mountainhobo
      @mountainhobo 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maserati does well in America? Where is that lucky place in America that buys Maseratis? Ever since the Bi-turbo disaster of the 1980s, Maserati has been one of the worst, if not the worst selling vehicle in the US. Perhaps you meant Jeep? Yes, Jeep and RAM do well because they still have the old DNA, just like the Dodge muscle cars. The new FIAT-centric vehicles, though, have been doing rather poorly, and their reliability scores are terrible.

    • @bird718
      @bird718 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      mountainhobo
      they are 3 Maserati dealers within 30-40 mins of my home including one about a 1/2 mile away.. another 3 about an hours drive from my home. so that puts 5 Maserati dealers within 1/2 to 10 or 12 miles of me. they are all over the place.then again the further you get away from NYC most everything on the road changes to American and Asian cars. i personal don't like Maserati. they do look very nice but thats it.

    • @mountainhobo
      @mountainhobo 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So I just looked up the numbers. For 2016 there were 12.5K Maserati cars sold in the US total, making for a 0.07% of the market share. The only other brands below 0.1% market share are: Smart (sold more than Maserati), Ferrari (sold more than Maserati), Bentley (sold fewer cars than Maserati), Lamborghini (fewer), and Rolls Royce (fewer). That's it.

      I work with these cars regularly, and while a Japanese import will have fewer problems on average vs Fiat's offerings, the owner ultimately decide's a vehicle's fate.
