Is it possible I could have had this since my teens or earlier and only now being diagnosed in my late 30s? I really have gone through a lot of ups and downs (truly thinking I was dying) but somehow making to the next day. I have had at least minimal steroids available for 10 years now (1-5mg of pred and tried to stock up) and have more than once asked doctors for quality of life dosing for IBD flares but also debilitating fatigue, migraines that really seem more like a crash. (Prior to that it would be upper respiratory infections (nasal sprays/inhalers), joint injections, allergic reaction dosing, etc.)
It sounds crazy but all of a sudden this picture has become so clear to me! It just seems so unreal that I could have had this for so long. I mean I remember as a kid eating handfuls of salt or sucking on salt packets 😮

What about post Pred withdrawal? Is there a plan for that?

don't worry I have severe adrenal stress that means I can make enough adrenaline for the both of us🤪🤪
it also explains why I always have high blood sugar in all my blood tests🤣🤣

I dont feel it’s necessary if you live a stable peaceful life. Medication is to deal with constant stress factors . Not needed for normal stress.

Um if you have adrenal insufficiency, you cannot survive without some form of hydrocortisone. Even for normal everyday life. Please take your meds regularly, or you may die

@@stacycraft999exactly. Cortisol is the most important hormone, if you don't produce any, you need to replace it. Before medication to replace it existed, the diagnosis was a death sentence.

@@surlespasdondine Correct ' Addison's patients is worse sometimes? can take up to 4 injections daily of Hydrocortisone for some, or end up in Adrenal Crisis and if not treated with in 15 minutes can die.
