  • Michael Penix Jr. was the reason that Washington won this game. Can he replicate this performance next week against Michigan?

    That throw to McMillan between the 2 defenders was a laser.

      Reminded me of Purdy's first interception in the endzone against the Ravens (except Penix threw a laser and got a TD instead)

      @davidpeters44 Yes definitely, also just keeping him off the field with long Michigan drives. There's no stopping an offense like this, only slowing them down and limiting time of possession. Michigan's D line can get home sending 4, they are the most cohesive and disciplined unit in college football, having a copy and paste Baltimore Ravens scheme. The Huskies have the best offensive line and are also extremely disciplined. Going to be such a great matchup to watch!

    Texas had some tight coverage, didn't matter. Texas brought extra rushers, didn't matter. Penix was on another level this game, some of these passes might as well be handoffs. In stride, on the numbers, no adjustments necessary.

      I feel good, its a dice role for him unfortunately. He's got hellla room to grow and adjust.
      His accuracy, mobility, etc are elite in college. My only concern is the NFL. This guy under the wrong system is going to be the big factor in his success.
      He needs a good enough o line, A threatening tailback with a offset TE and 2 good recieving options with at leasdt one competent. Good O Line, misdirection read/rpo/designed runs with an elite lead blocker to slide and moat importantly get the man some targets.
      Failing that, he gets beat up as we see too often on sacks and Pennix needs a bit more time in the pocket, he's a mid to long range arm, a tailback who can draw enough overcommitment so he can run clean and slash a few 5-20yrs keepers untouched and 3 options at wr or te that are simply consistent. Need nkt be super stars.
      I'd put defense second no matter how bad and grab Pennix if the affirmationed was in tact. Hate to see the NFL take its tole. It may, I don't see a long career in his future but perhaps a few stellar seasons.
      Where the hell did he come from? Lol dude just popped up cause I follow cfb but this year and thus year only did I hear of him..

      As long as the Huskies find a way to get a long leash (lead) on them, otherwise they could come back and bite us in the balls.

    • @iamnotme7603
      @iamnotme7603 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ethanjin9372 I wouldn’t be so sure about that. Michigan has an elite secondary with great players (Will Johnson, Mike Sainristil, Rod Moore, etc.) that could lock up the Washington wide receivers, unlike the Texas secondary which was seen as a weakness. Also, with Penix Jr. not being so mobile due to previous injuries, the Michigan pass rush could have a big game.
