How are we ranking this year’s quarterbacks? Obviously I’ve only studied up on 2, but for now I’m putting Caleb at 1 (duh) and Penix is going to end up pretty dang low for me.
@@Dawg-Bonesame, except I'd flip Penix and McCarthy. They're close enough to where the scheme will be the biggest determining factor, but if I had to play one as a rookie between the two, it would be Penix.
Herbert was an awful QB prospect. Even if you knew Mario Cristobal was awful like he is. To assume a coach would fuck up a QB that bad is insane. But that's what happened
As someone that watched nearly every game he played at UW, his decision making could be questioned at times. However, his arm talent is undeniable and he uses leverage like no other passer in this draft. He throws the prettiest, tightest, deep ball spiral, but needs improvement on short/intermediate throws requiring touch. Some team will be very happy if they trade into the lower first round for him.
^this. I watched his entire season this year. He wasn’t razor sharp all the time, but the clutch gene is strong with him. Even bigger than master yoda! Special arm to be sure.
IMHO: Pennix relied on WRs that outclassed their defenders (they win jump balls almost every time). The formula was obvious. Won't happen at the next level. Pennix repeatedly scrambled under a not-so-great offensive line and he would run while his great WRs found an opening, then last second made a play. Awesome, but not useful for the NFL. At the next level, he'll just be sacked. His offense required little recognition of defenses and he showed no high IQ doing that. He has arm talent. He has accuracy, but also has lots of spurts of terrible and he neeeds to read defenses... which wasn't a requirement. Not expecting much from Pennix in the NFL. I can be wrong and you can mock me if I am. Just one man's opinion.
@@trevorwesterdahl6245 who knows if penix can translate to the pros. He has the physical talent and the clutch gene. He’s a leader and a hard worker, having come back from multiple bad knee injuries. I’d be hAppy to give the young man a chance to lead my team. we shall see.
@@alan.s5773 Watching WR film from LSU proves that Jayden Daniels has at least the same amount of issue as Penix rn. He consistently throws late as hell and misses open receivers
@@Ajt17c He released a video before the 2020 draft saying the same thing about Herbert: great college QB, but his skills and game style doesn't translate to the NFL, people just liked him because of his physical traits and huge arm. In his defense Herbert was a really tamed and limited QB in Oregon, but now we know that it was all coaching and offensive philosophy not that Herbert himself wasn't a capable passer.
@@Akkbar21 not trying to defend him but QBs are really that hard to evaluate, way more than game tape goes in evaluating QBs. There's a reason why most teams with their million dollar scouting teams suck at evaluating QBs. If he was right more than he was wrong he wouldn't be here on TH-cam he would be a senior scout somewhere for a NFL team.
@@Big.steppa.reese0 People getting Zach Wilson wrong isn't really the indictment. Its the fact that people *KEPT* defending him after a season where its clear what his limitations were and what he wasn't fixing in his 2nd year of tape. Like sure Wilson will have one game where everything comes together and he wouldn't be able to replicate that again for another long stretch.
I think this is a parody, he said “driving the ball down the field does not work at the next level” at the very start. So either this is a joke or dude is a fool
You’re wrong about Penix. He is absolutely an NFL quarterback. The NFL is full of QBs who dink and dunk and we’ve all seen those guys get picked off when the receiver pops the ball up, or the QB doesn’t see the linebacker in the middle of the field. What most NFL QB’s can’t do is what Penix excels at, the long ball, cross field throws to the sidelines, dropping the ball in at 40 yards to a well covered receiver a foot inside the the sideline. I’ll take that any time over a dink and dunk interception machine. And the other thing Penix is, is a winner. He doesn’t have to be accurate to throw a receiver open, aka putting his receivers between the ball and the defender. But I would argue he’s as accurate as any of the top 6 QBs. Can he improve on the short game? Sure. Who couldn’t use a better short game. A lot of QBs like Daniels will just scramble on what should be a short throw. Penix will throw it away and live for the next down. Is that bad? Better than an INT. Scrambling is ok except that’s how you get hurt as an NFL QB. Penix has only had two complete seasons which were at UW. He didn’t get injured because he became a pocket passer. And he became a great pocket passer. He’s smart and trainable. I think it’s a mistake to think Penix can’t learn in the NFL and develop a short game. On everything else he is WAY better than other top QB’s. 10:56
So, identifying one on one coverage and constantly getting the ball to your best playmakers is now a bad thing? Also has a video titled Caleb Williams (kind of) struggles on film. Caleb struggled to make plays within the structure of the offense, and he takes alot of bad sacks because of it. Williams took 33 sacks this season, Penix took 32 sacks in 5 years as a starting qb. Penix gets the ball out of his hand and gives good players a chance to make a play. He does little things that keep his team out of bad down and distance situations and gives them chances to win games. I'd rather have a guy who does what he is supposed to do to help his team win than a more talented player who performs below expectations trying to play hero ball all the time.
That's a crazy stat. Obviously people see Williams creating and wanna label him as the next Mahomes. But Mahomes has ELITE pocket presence, and will find the RB for a 4 yard gain. Williams on the other hand, misses open guys and takes sacks while directing traffic down field. Obviously he's young and can be coached up, but is Matt Eberflus and Shane Waldron the duo to do it?
He was saying that Penix looks to throw it deep to Odunze rather than actually progressing through his reads leading him to miss open receivers. This would be an issue in the NFL because he won't have an Odunze to bail him out on poorly placed deep balls.
This video made no sense. It starts off praising Penix for being able to "make all the throws" and also some throws he's never seen a QB make, for finding holes in places no QB finds holes, and for his willingness to push the ball downfield with the best of them. I thought Rollins was about to anoint him the next CJ Stroud. But then he just went on a negative nacny parade. He actually criticized Penix for always being willing to give Odunze a shot on one-one coverage -- like this is a bad thing? And like it proves that Penix owes his success to Odunze, bu apparently none of Odunze's success was helped by hving Penix deliver the ball to him at the first hint of a crack of daylight. if Penix was Fools Gold, has Rollins figured out what likely happends wwhen a highly talented WR doesnt have a pretty talented QB thrwoing to him? Nothing, thats what happens. The WR talent is wasted, he may still put up good numbers but the offense as a whole is decidedly un-explosive. Happens all the time.
Not to mention something like 40 fumbles for Williams, usually at the worst possible time after he just ignored a wide open guy for an easy first down.
And yet JJ McCarthy did even less in college and since the season has ended his stock has risen. Also, Bo Nix mostly just distributes the ball with among the lowest air yards in the nation. Is it easier for Nix to learn to throw an accurate deep ball or for Penix to learn to distribute short passes?
That's actually a very legitimate question. It is not easy to learn either in the pros. Probably more guys have failed by not being able to learn to distribute short passes, but guys without big arms aren't pushed as hard to be #1 QB's. Guys who can only distribute become backup quarterbacks. Guys who can't distribute end up out of the league no matter how big their arms are. I think it's worth drafting him if he can be in a Jordan Love situation. He's got a lot to learn, but I think he can learn it.
He maybe can’t extend the plays like other really good qb’s but he can avoid the sack. Against Texas in the semifinal, he repeatedly avoided getting sacked, and one of Texas’ biggest strengths was the D-line. He’s got a great arm, so I think it’s gonna come down to where he gets drafted and his ability to stay healthy. I think he needs to go to an offensive head coach led team.
They allegedly had a decent secondary as well. I was stunned by how he played against Michigan. They must have looked at the Arizona St. tape. Another weird game.
@@TheYobo1016 I knew Michigan was going to win, they just had so much future NFL players and had a bunch of returning guys from the previous year. Plus Michigan built their team to beat Ohio State, and Washington was like Ohio State offensively.
I ain’t gonna lie, I completely disagree with most of this video. When he misses receivers, most of the time he misses on their side, which is a big plus trait that gets lost often. He dominates from the pocket, but definitely is weak if he gets flushed out, however you can win with being dominant from the pocket. I think he’ll need to land in a spot with weapons and at least an average o line, but I believe he can succeed at the NFL level
"His skillset doesn't translate to the NFL" (proceeds to show a bunch of stuff that NFL QBs do, like trusting their receivers to win 1vs1s on the outside)
@@astronorthwet636 Eh. There is a difference with your perception of that to say CJ's college tape and what he was doing with the Texans his first 8 weeks. And CJ was encouraged to grip it and rip it. Took Nico Collins awhile to adjust but the reward was him being a big receiver with major YAC potential.
So you think that college receivers who "bail" him out are going to be MORE talented than pro players? The ability to layer in passes in coverage is a remarkably tough thing to do, and if this guy has the vision to spot those opportunities, that is massive. And every clip that you're showing basically shows him not making an absolutely perfect pass, but 90% of passes aren't perfect and require receiver adjustments. I've watched every single play that Mahomes has made over the course of the past 7 years and he is far from perfect. And yet he's considered one of the best that has ever played the game. Additionally, who's to say this guy has to come right out of the gate and start playing? A team could put him behind somebody like Kirk Cousins for a couple years and develop his talents. This seems like it's going to age poorly.
How do you identify that Washington employs a verticals concept in their offense, then turn around and knock him for "throwing the ball deep too much"? If everyone is running deep then how can you knock him for that?
this man wrong. everyone who watched even the worst UW game will tell you that Penix has ELITE accuracy and arm strength. not to mention the great decision-making (in-scheme or outside). so then let’s just rail him for being injured and the things you don’t like about him..?
I feel for Bryce, but I didn't understand how people thought he was in anywhere near Stroud in terms of talent. I LOVED Stroud before the draft. [Now, I probably jinxed the poor guy].
Man, you’re off base. Deep ball placement, pre snap recognition, best post snap recognition in the draft, and best natural thrower. Best back shoulder throw, and ability to both the lasers and layers throws. Led college football in big time throws by a lot, and typically throws deep incompletions when he is trying to throw it away to a spot the defender can’t get too it. I can find more incompletions and inaccuracy on Caleb, JDs, or Mayes tape. He shows plenty of tape where he has perfect placement. At this point, you’re just being a hater, and I’m also here to see this age like Milk.
Also, gets rid of the ball quickly, doesn’t get sacked when pressured, sacked on 5% of plays he’s pressured, a lot of his incompletions deep are ones he kind of throws away in the sense, he thows it away from defenders, to a spot likely nobody gets it, but if anyone does, it’s his WR. Also, you’re going to fault him for aggressively taking shots, in a offensive scheme that runs on stretching the field? Also, he has more good deep passes, and big time throws, than anyone in this class. He had a 65% comp percentage with the highest depth of target. I can find just as many alarming stats with the other prospects, in fact, more alarming, and tape. Caleb holds onto to the ball an alarming amount of time, JD lack’s anticipation, plays a very college offense, the most open throws in the draft, Maye struggles throwing outside of the numbers, and with his speed of progressions, and mechanics, also takes too many sacks when pressured, Nix has a average arm, doesn’t go past 1st progression, and most of his passes were at, or behind the line. The MOST pro ready, wasn’t translate to the pros game, is Penix.
I definitely see and agree with the questions about his accuracy and touch over the middle, but I'd be nervous to write this guy off. Not many college QBs show the kind of aptitude and confidence within the pocket like Penix. He's a bit of a throwback in that way. Always stays behind his blockers, doesn't panic or bail on the pocket, and rarely takes sacks. I'll sacrifice some accuracy concerns for a guy who is tough and calm in the midst of chaos.
"... his game is all about the deep ball" Tell me you didnt actually watch a lot of tape without telling me. He throws the best deep out and digs in this class by far. And Grubb's offense was create at picking on the hook to seam defender. Im not saying Penix doesnt have his faults(namely his footwork) but that is not a well researched statement IMO. Also the stuff you harkened on the most - finding layered throws and guys open in the flat to curl? That happened a TON in the Texas game, yet you showed none of that?
10:00 kinda funny because that's basically what happened in essence lol. Drake London and Kyle Pitts are huge catch radius contested catch guys who can win 50/50 balls. Maybe Atlanta is just the right situation for him, we'll see

Not even good hating either. Could all be explained away to his scheme, or even just looking at the exact film he's providing and just think of the process is doing.
A great video. I had the same idea on Penix I heard all this hype, but watching him McMillan and Romeo and Polk are all solid weapons and the fast ball point is very apparent!!

People with conviction should put money where their mouth is. Take a bet like: I'm willing to donate $1 million to a charity if I'm wrong. When people do that I'll take their words more seriously.
What’s fools gold is all the idiots who subscribe to the channel. The oldest fallacy in the book is “It hasn’t happened before so it won’t now”. Penix makes the hard throws and can adjust to shorter routes. The QB also has to play within the scheme. Penix did make a few mistakes going deep, but also made many awesome throws.
Some of your major points of breakdown are flawed. I'll leave it to the experts to see where he should be drafted. That play 4:00 minutes makes zero sense to throw to the outside towards the sidelines. The db is in perfect position to undercut any out route. Throwing it to the inside or up and to the inside actually allows his wr to adjust as the db adjusting to that pass would be near impossible. The db is giving him everything to the inside and focus on protecting the sideline
the DB is in position to undercut an outbreaking route, but during this breakdown he never said that Penix should throw it as if it was a speed-out. I could be wrong but if I remember correctly he said something along the lines of “this has backshoulder fade written all over it“, but instead of throwing the ball high to the backshoulder, where only his guy can make a play on the ball, he throws it inside to where the DB is positioned and gets bailed out by a spectacular catch from his WR. Basically instead of leading his receiver away from the defender with an accurate pass, Odunze had to go through the DB to make the catch
@@tobsixi6702 when he throws the ball the defenders is facing the wr or facing the sidelines which is the best positioning to cover anything to the sideline.. There is no way the defender will see or even be able to adjust to the location of that ball being thrown to the inside. Also he talks about his footwork in the pocket which definitely needs to improve but that is just about every QB in college and even in the league but that is something that can be worked on and improved but I do see it as a place of growth for penix
@@jahmezis45 idk about your video but when I pause at around 4:36 / 4:37 which is about the point when Penix releases the ball the DB is actually a yard or two inside of Odunze, so in that case the defender has absolutely no shot at defending a throw outside to the backshoulder cause 1 he is inside and cant really go through the receivers body and 2 he is not even having his eyes on Penix therefore he doesnt even know whether or when to drive on a ball thats thrown outside... as the defender tries to close the gap between him and Odunze the pass comes inside which forces Odunze to go into the DBs body and makes a contested catch which could have been a fairly easy gain had the pass been more accurate 🤷♂️
I honestly don’t get all the negatives on Penix. Feels like it’s more related to his age and injury history.. I’m a Michigan guy and very confused why McCarthy is considered better - and I love JJ.. Also, think some of the stuff you’re pointing out is due to the fact that he knew he was playing with odunze. You could say a lot of the same things about Matthew Stafford when he was playing with Calvin Johnson. Some assumed he couldn’t read the defenses because he would force the ball to Johnson, but he just knew that Johnson couldn’t be covered. I see a lot of similarities in Penix n think he’s a much better processor than people realize.
I feel like a lot of this is fixable if he comes into the right situation. He has amazing arm talent that could set him apart from others in the league if he gets the mechanics and reading the defense right
My son is a high school qb who sees his future in coaching or scouting. He loves the game and at 16 understands it like a savant. We have a hard time keeping him stimulated. He watches all of your stuff, and we are wondering where you trained or what books or courses prepped you for your film study. Outside of Madden, there are times where we have never heard of the concepts you present as common knowledge in the pro and college game. Any direction you could provide would be great! Our son is very hungry to learn. Thank you, and we love your videos.
What’s to rule out him going to Seattle with Ryan Grubb you don’t believe he could thrive in that offense? Also you are assuming that there is no more room for him to develop and clean up some of his deficiencies Like they say you can’t teach arm strength. He is probably a reach in the first rd but I think a second rd grade is about right for him
He's shaky as hell when he has to throw off platform or create. He's a really good college player, but I'd be really surprised if he's better than a career backup in the NFL.
The guy went undefeated and beat USC along the way. No QB is perfect coming out of college. They all need work. Some of them will pan out and some of them won't. I think Penix will find a home some where, he has a lot of potential. The person that uploaded this video is extremely biased and his assessment on MP seems personal. None of the analyst are even talking about Penix. That's always the player you keep an eye on.
The way pro-Penix people talk about him is very misleading. I like you noticed how bad his footwork, accuracy & poise in the pocket is because I was surprised by the same flaws because id heard from talking heads just how good he is. If anyone wants to see what im talking about go watch his game against Michigan were he looked completely overwhelmed. You may say "Thats Michigan" but the truth is NFL Defenses are better than Michigan. Stats in College are not important when it comes to transitioning to the NFL & I'm surprised anyone calls Penix an elite pocket passer because most of his highlights are his receivers making outstanding catches with Penix looking akward when he throws. Penix also throws a lot of sidearm flick of the wrist short passes that will get picked off in the NFL.
I strongly believe that almost everyone blaming Penix for the title game are totally wrong. It is lazy to only look at the stats and see if a pass was completed or not. There is one play in particular where I am astonished that Penix has received blame instead of Odunze. On the supposed bad Penix overthrow his throw was actually perfect. Odunze mis-read the defense on an option route and ran a horrible route. Penix threw the ball exactly where Odunze should have been. Most critics are clueless about how the UW offense is supposed to work or what happened on certain important plays. Penix throws to tiny windows while throwing his receivers open who have little to no separation with anticipation and accuracy while manipulating the defense and efficiently going through reads and progressions. He is the most advanced QB in these important areas by many miles. The other top QB's are all one read scrambler project QB's. The ball looks so much better off Penix's hand compared to all of the other QB's. The ball just jumps of his hand while the other QB's cannot throw with power and accuracy outside the hashmarks downfield. Injuries are the only concern. His footwork can be improved which would increase his ceiling and improve short throw accuracy while reducing the number of throws that sail. These things are very clear to me watching tape of Penix and other QB's. Stats say Penix gets rid of the ball of the fastest and takes the least number of sacks. These stats say he also has great pocket awareness. Penix had zero help from the rest of the offense in the title game. UW had no running game, awful O-line play, receivers running bad routes, misreading the defense, and dropping passes. Michigan's front 7 dominated while their secondary got away with 5 or 6 of the most obvious penalties you will ever see go uncalled.
The last college QB I saw that could place the ball as well on covered receivers was Joe Burrow… And Mahomes has been dominating the league while throwing without his feet set… If you want to question his injury history that’s one thing but to say this guy doesn’t have real arm talent is a joke.
This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Yes Penix had some stretches of inaccuracy but some of his description of him missing guys on plays he is clearly purposely putting the ball where his guy can get it and no one else. He understands leverage very well and he knew his guys could go up for it or no one else. This is understanding the game. He will have some challenges but I am very intrigued.
Zero film from his best game of the year in the Sugar Bowl against Texas? Be serious. Can’t wait to come back to this video in a year. This take is gonna age like milk bro 😅
After watching Penix at UW for the last 2 years, he definitely has some holes in his game that he can hopefully close once he gets to the league. His mediocre play in the championship is one of the reasons they lost to Michigan. Missing open receivers and inconsistent accuracy.
Let’s always remember there’s gonna (hopefully) be growth that comes with nfl coaching and playing experience. Of course he could be fools gold, but any prospect can be.
I actually fully agree. I never got the Penix hype, always thought he was more of a early day 3, late day 2 type of guy. Great arm strength, good pocket presence, but a mountain of red flags. Old, season ending injuries, inconsistent, spotty accuracy, poor ball placement, no anticipation or touch throws, never throws over the middle, average athlete with no creation ability. And all of that behind one of the best offensive lines in college football with maybe the best WR core. Maybe he‘ll prove me wrong and looks like a different player in the league but I wouldn’t wanna be the one finding out.
I think he's got great talent but I don't think he's quite built for this game. The wincing and effective 'tapping out' demeanor he had in the National Championship game is scary. I wouldn't want to invest in a QB that can't handle the moment. (Lamar Jackson falls to pieces every playoffs). I actually think he has all the tools but his heart isn't up to it.
Bro is the only quarterback since Patric Mahomes to have 2 straight 4500 yard seasons, with the past 2 great injury free seasons I think he's gotta shot, 1st person to this since Mahomes
"Absolute fool's gold" is such an extreme take for an above average QB prospect. I don't understand why you're so eager to have all your takes age like milk. I agree he's flawed, but you act as if he's incapable of improving. He's also likely to fall to a decent team at this point.
@@jaredclark173 Not really. Herbert has absolutely crushed his floor having played with 4 different OCs, meh WRs, no real running game and a spotty O-line at the pro level. Even with an OC whose passing offense were dink and dunks/runs on early downs and curls/stick routes that doesn't go past the marker on late passing downs. Mothafucka still tried to make it work and was a reason why the Chargers were competitive in late games when Staley couldn't get shit right. CJ Stroud was not only making Nico Collins and Tank Dell look really good but it made Slowik's wide zone style offense work even when the O-line was tanked the first 7 weeks due to injuries. Some QBs help elevate the existing scheme than what its expected to be.
Disagree with this entire video. Every rookie has skills to work on, but you get drafted for having an elite talent/skill to fall back on. Penix quick release, and arm strength would make him good for teams like the Bucs, or Pittsburgh where they have bigger receivers. You don't have to attack the same situation with the same solution. Penix will be great in the right situation that plays to his strengths and has bigger receivers. He would not be good in a dink and dunk offense, so his success is largely contingent on a matching offense, but how is that different from every other player in the NFL for the most part? Penix with his arm is equivalent to Lamar Jackson with his legs when no one thought could be successful with his brand of football. For my 2 cents you will wind up eating these words in a year, maybe two.
I agree that he's missing some polish, but as we know from the past, polish doesn't mean anything in college. Penix has elite arm strength and at times great ball placement on 50-50 balls. The concerns the NFL will have are his injury history. Also, he has come up in a modern college spread offense, which are notorious for being coached incorrectly in order to simplify them (it works until you face competent defenses like Michigan). All the knocks here can be trained to be corrected, especially if he sits a year or two in a decent system and learns to run an offense that's not always in shotgun. Calling him Fools Gold seems like a write off that is undeserved.
All you fools need to eatch the natonall semi final against Texas. Hands down should have won the Heisman. Didnt even play in the 3rd and 4th quarter of sime games.
Penix is going to end up being that one Jameis Winston type backup, where base-level fans are always saying he should replace the starter, but those who know more understand that he’s really just not that good.
@OsceolaNola7 bad phrasing but it's a decent comp, idk why people defend their glorious penix to death but those same people will drag caleb williams for painting his nails and being upset on camera (and penix did the 2nd one anyway)
What a dumb video lol. So Penix has the best arm strength, best ball placement…. But has a great wide receiver he learned to trust and trust him? And the Washington play you showed with the crossers was a blown play…. Two receivers nearly ran into each other and he just threw it away. How is that bad? Sign me up for Penix any day of the week.
5:00 "Arm strength doesn't really matter without placement at the next level!" Thank God he finally said it. Honestly the arm isn't crazy it Avg to above average at the next level.

What does this mean?
This dude is way off usually unless it’s obvious stuff. Penix has as good a chance as anyone else.
@@Ajt17c He released a video before the 2020 draft saying the same thing about Herbert: great college QB, but his skills and game style doesn't translate to the NFL, people just liked him because of his physical traits and huge arm. Look at his track record.
Arm Talent + Work ethic = Franchise QB.
Lol takes a lot more than that.
So will Levi’s?
Drew Lock says "hi".
Bullshit "arm talent"
Need IQ and processing speed too otherwise youll just be Zach Wilson
He said he lacked touch and decision making at times. Which is true
Michael penix 9.2 yards per attempt. Bo nix 9.6 yards per attempt with a 77% completion rate. Seems like penix may be the short distributor.
@boljo1213 look up average air yards per attempt and yards after catch.
@@boljo1213my guy that adds in yards after the catch you can avg 10 yards per attempt but throw a bubble screen
@@donleonard4446😂😂
Dolphins is a perfect fit
His wide receivers bailing him out would be negated if he went to the Seahawks

Exactly. He throws his receivers open and puts them between the ball and the defender. That’s textbook.
@@astronorthwet636sometimes he does he also throws them into coverage
Last year you were all on Bryce young nuts.
Bryce was throwing to a #1 target 33 year old slot WR and had one of the worst OL in the NFL

@@tobsixi6702 when he throws the ball the defenders
is facing the wr or facing the sidelines which is the best positioning to cover anything to the sideline..
Penix loves the game. He's pull it together, especially if he gets to sit for a year or two.
I'd love to hear you and Connor Rogers discuss Penix. I love hearing how people can view a player in very different ways
Well said.

Yup❤
Throwing footballs doesn’t translate to the NFL?
I would call Drake Mae fools gold in this years draft.
Great video. So your saying that the falcons wil score every down.... 😂

After watching Penix at UW for the last 2 years, he definitely has some holes in his game that he can hopefully close once he gets to the league. His mediocre play in the championship is one of the reasons they lost to Michigan. Missing open receivers and inconsistent accuracy.
You hyped Zach Wilson. Sit down 😂
Well well well this aged well.
Let’s always remember there’s gonna (hopefully) be growth that comes with nfl coaching and playing experience. Of course he could be fools gold, but any prospect can be.
Penix will EASILY end up a top 3 QB from this draft 😭 idk what you’re waffling about dude; btw he throws with insane leverage
Respect your opinion and all but this dude might make you eat your words like Herbert
He’s 24 that’s not really old. Mahomes has won 3 sb at 28. If penix could even get you too a Super Bowl before 28 that’s not a bust.
I would argue that LSU has the best WR core. Other than that, I completely agree.
@@jofieji5312 hes old for someone just getting drafted
@@youstinklolgotakeashower I get that but 24 isn’t old. Not for a qb. Especially a qb who doesn’t really rely on his legs as his main weapon.
The more film I see, the more Jameis I see
Bro is the only quarterback since Patric Mahomes to have 2 straight 4500 yard seasons, with the past 2 great injury free seasons I think he's gotta shot, 1st person to this since Mahomes
"Absolute fool's gold" is such an extreme take for an above average QB prospect. I don't understand why you're so eager to have all your takes age like milk. I agree he's flawed, but you act as if he's incapable of improving. He's also likely to fall to a decent team at this point.
Talent is there but he needs the right system to translate himself into a good QB.
And a fantastic o-line. I don’t think he will do too well otherwise.
isn’t that every quarterback tho?
I need this guy to be in the league for multiple years because his name is hilarious.
I love that TH-cam offers an outlet for the people dealing with a schizophrenic disorder a platform to express themselves. Good job buddy!
Why’d you change the title Alex?
he’s gonna be 2nd in roty voting but people are gonna think he should’ve won it but he’s gonna have a pretty good year
2nd in ROTY with which bad team who chooses to start him?
i mean yeah he has issues but this might be the first vid of yours ive seen where its just straight up hating
The Dan Snyder led Commanders would have taken Penix #2 overall.
“Those who know more”.. get off your high horse, Mr. Clairvoyant.
This video could backfire tremendously, you're bold
5:00 "Arm strength doesn't really matter without placement at the next level!"
Thank God he finally said it. Honestly the arm isn't crazy it Avg to above average at the next level. If he xan improve his accuracy (after 6 years in college that debatable) he'll be fine at the next level but that has to be ironed out.
