Bekant's tabletop had a thick laminate over it. This laminate is a hardwearing surface that has withstood many mugs of hot coffee. However, the veneer/ foil top on this will start peeling within a year or two of use.
Agreed. The Bekant desks looked much prettier with the rounded corners and such. Mittzon looks cheap with the thin frames and visible holes. I guess it was cheaper to produce this than Bekant.
3:05 this recess seems unnecessary there is already one in the middle and there should be at least a cover for this one it is just going to collect dust and rubish
I agree, I do have this desk and was confused at first…but it’s meant to be paired with the Koppla power strip. That way your outlets are on top of the desk and more accessible.
@@accentontheoff according the manual instruction paper, you can adjust the height. But i never try it. Maybe some one can help and answer this ? Or share their experience ?
Move it all the way to the bottom and the light will go out and it goes back to factory settings. Look for the light color expaining manual online, it has all the infos you need to fix it.
This video meant to help people visualize the product, i tried it several times. Eventough it's only for a short time, i believe it can help people to decided / consider to buy or hold it Yeah it's not perfect. If you think you can do better, be my guest, make the video, i will gladly watch it
Nice chair review, you convinced me to buy that chair.
😂

Visually this is a step back ihmo. I stay with the bekant. Thx for sharing
i had 3 different Bekant desks, are wobbled a lot. Tis one seems more stable. Will have to go to Ikea for a shake.

the bekant had too thin of a countertop
Hello is ikea trotten thicker than the mittzon ? It says they are about same thickness (2cm) in my region.

@@snoozyA113 I understand what it is meant for, I just wouldn't want to have my power strip there, so it would become a negative
was the monitor riser at 0.18 stable?
thank u for this video!! ❤
where did they hide the cable?
1:38 You hide it through here, and then the cable goes down to cable management box under the table
For more details about cable management, you can check IKEA MITTZON electric desk, in the 1.38 minute section.
There is a felt channel underneath where the cable goes
How does the plugin module attach to the table top?
This is 60cm deep not 80
What's the thickness of the desk?
Can the monitor be plug-in or does it have to be on a countertop?
not a single top. split at back seems not for dual monitor arm clamp.
Is the height adjustable, thanks.

@@SWEDENFURNISHING No worries. Will check with the local IKEA anyway later. Thanks.
Looks wobbly
got one. There s orange light, and its not going up anymore

Helpful thanks!
No electrical up and down?
You should watch my other video, there's an electrical version of mittzon desk.
worth it?
👍🏾👍🏾
Not a review.

You had the nerve to show the 'conclusion' without ever bringing the table up to the maximum height?
You have the nerve to realize this is not a motorized desk that takes tools and time to adjust the height?
@glacialimpala Blind asf, did you even watch the video?
and where do you attach a monitor arm at the back like most people use nowadays... try again IKEA
