  • How to get your life together, how to de-stress, how to take care of yourself. Life can be stressful and demanding a lot of times and it's so easy to lose sight of what's important. Here are 6 of my fail proof ways to relax, rewind, and reconnect when the going gets rough (aaand for when I start looking rough 😂).
    Even though the past 2 weeks have been really stressful, I was reminded of how being "too busy" is not a good enough excuse for me to not take better care of myself. And that the trade off of being constantly stressed and overwhelmed is just not worth it. So this video is a reminder to myself, and hopefully to you, to make more time for me-dates.

      thrashy High school was the best and easiest time of my life... college suuucks. If you go to college, make sure you get on top of your assignments and studying since day 1.

    It’s so sad because I cared more about myself when I was a freshman but the older I got.. the less I cared (I just graduated high school this year). It’s a good and bad thing because surprisingly my self confidence went up because I wouldn’t really wear makeup anymore BUT I stopped doing my skincare, didn’t really care about school anymore, and basically just woke up everyday just to go back to sleep at night. I’m gonna be in college soon and I really need to learn how to take care of myself and realize my worth in order to prepare for the real world now.

      Actually, people obsessed with cleanliness most of the time feel they lack control in their personal life, so they do anything they can do control their surroundings and perfect them. So really, your environment can say a lot.

      I agree completely. This is also present for those who are anorexic -- where they use food as a means to feel a sense of control in their lives. The same can be manifested in other aspects of life, such as what you described with obsession with cleanliness.

      Hey Tamara! Almost all of what I teach is based in behavior change rather than diets. Research has shown over and over again that diet's don't work, but systematically hacking your habits DOES.

    Instead of forcing yourself to clear your mind during meditation, try accepting your random thoughts, take notice and move on to the new thought. This helps you let go of relentless thoughts because when you acknowledge it, you can move on. This is a method i use all the time and it works with anxiety and taking control of your thoughts! Loved the video! Keep it up!

    Watching this in 2018 while lying in bed feeling like crap, stuck in yet another day in which I feel so paralyzed I didn’t manage to go to work. I have been doing meditation with the Calm app and that has really improved my life, but I still get really bad days.     Ok, but am I the only one that writes down like all of my routines(school,night,morning,skincare,ect) decorate it,FRAMES it, and hangs it on my wall nope just me.....ok.

    I take care of myself by letting myself feel emotions and not try to just be happy all the time, try to care for my body and mind with food and meditation/mindfulness, nap, get creative to channel my energy, listen to music or watch something I like. Thank you for another great video, I'm very late to your channel!

    Every single time my life becomes chaotic, my mental health starts spiralling downwards, I come back to this video to remind myself that there is so much beauty in life and that there is so, so much that I can do to help myself.     Thank you so much for this video! It has really helped me remember I am human. Not everything is going to be perfect. Also, to always believe in myself. And to find what I love and do it more often. I like to have weekends to myself. On Saturdays I will going shopping almost all day. It is relaxing and gets my mind off of things. And I will have spa days where I will pamper myself. It is literally one of the best ways I calm myself and treat myself.

    I tend to get much self doubt and not much love for myself I think it’s because I’ve isolated myself by staying at home . I struggle now when i have appointment I get nervous and want to go home again . If only I could be that person I was. After becoming unwell it made me not want to leave home as I got to drained . I do smile a lot though but sometimes I have a weakened muscles one side so I sometimes have a wonky smile lol but I’m learning now . I have to do something about me . I was starting to feel confident and I had a bad fall at home and the back of my ear bruised my neck and had soft tissue damage . Now I’m back to feeling less confident again.     2. Write down thoughts and feelings (doubt self and intentions, why am I feeling this way?, how can I change and improve?)
    3. Meditate (reconnect with self)
    4. Self care and care for appearance (take a bath, face masks)
    5. Live a balanced life (don’t get burnt out, read a book, take a break)
    6. Smile more (improves your mood)

    This video is literally a 10-step tutorial I've been searching for my whole life and asking why it didn't exist. We all know about these things generally and maybe been reminded about them separately but the whole complex as one whole makes the pieces of the puzzle show an actual picture. Thank you!
