I am going to EBC next week and out of all the vlogs I have been checking out, I have to sit down and tell you guys that, yours was the most knowledgeable, emotional, kept my interest the whole time, n I kinda binge watched all 3 parts😁, I am gonna have to make my first ever vlog there, hoping to get right moments on camera. PS: Now seeing you guys being so fit n yet getting out of breath like that is the only things my 95kg body is worried about lol❤
Congrats Shev,Dev ,Simon and family for reaching EBC. GOD Bless you and your family Stay safeout there always. Simon always represent our country Philippines.
Your literally BREATHLESS conquest of EBC --- brings back a flood of such fond memories. 50 years ago --- my girlfriend and I (both 26 at the time) walked from Katmandu to Everest Base Camp --- and BACK to Kathmandu (no Lukla easy-rider). This was in the Spring of 19873 --- before the Summer monsoon --- and the rhododendrons were blossoming like crazy! We trekked without a guide or porter --- or even a daypack --- we hiked with simply an Indian shoulder bag, a blanket, and Chinese tennis shoes. After 28 days, we reached Namche Bazaar --- which was the first commercial restaurant and lodge we encountered since Katmandu. Other nights we knocked on the door of the nearest Nepali home about sunset --- and using sign language, asked if we could sleep on their porch. We were never refused shelter. We climbed roughly two and a half mountains per day. Eventually, it was far easier (especially on the knees) to hike uphill, rather than downhill. At Periche (4,200 meters), we rented down-jackets, gloves, and wrap-around sunglasses from the natives --- and hired two Nepali porters to carry firewood and food. At 5,364 meters --- there was NO ONE at Base Camp, not a single tent. In 1973, the only action on Everest was a national Italian expedition --- and they had already climbed Everest --- and went back to Katmandu by helicopter. Like you --- at the higher altitudes, we needed to stop--- EVERY FEW MINTUES --- to catch our breaths! Talk about ROMANTIC! --- on the way to Everest, we got married by the Rinpoche at Tengboche Monastery --- with about a dozen other trekkers as our wedding guests and witnesses. At this time --- there were no guestrooms at Tengboche. We slept rough --- on bare table tops --- in the Monastery kitchen. 50 years ago, we rarely saw another trekker all day --- although a few more hikers appeared after Namche Bazaar. There was zero garbage along the route. We bought chai, biscuits, roasted barley, and boiled eggs --- at the few chai stall along the way. Must have been -- SO SPECIAL --- for to achieve this arduous trek --- as a family! Peace and love from the Earthpeople of Hawaii
🇺🇸Wow! I am disabled and will never be able to do something like this unless I can find a yak to carry a guy who can’t walk more than a couple of hundred feet😉, but living vicariously through your trek is amazing! Thanks from the US for sharing with all of us who will never again be able to do anything like this! You’re the greatest!👍🏼
Congratulations Shev and Dev for this awesome milestone on your channel Incredibly happy for you guys and to your dad&brother .Thanks for bringing our 🇵🇭 in your Mt.Everest Base Camp Trekking Journey Job well done Simon 🧸👍👏👏👏 What a Success !
I have to commend the both of you. When I did a recent trip to the Philippines i said to my self that I was going to blogg the trip and Damn! it's not easy to tyr to keep a blog and be able to enjoy your time . Thanks for sharing, Hope you both make it out to the United States some time ( CHICAGO area)

Freezing cold? yes I should know how you feel, I have seen -20 and feels like -30, although this year was not bad, now dyeing in heat lol. Sorry it took so long to watch your last trek to the top, I myself with my daughter and grand daughter was on vacation for one week at Dominican republic enjoying the beach while you guys were walking towards the top, what a nice memory at the end it was worth it, I know it was for me in watching you guys, Bravo... I,m glad you guys are safe. I can't wait to see your next country video. thumbs up be safe.
really enjoyed this series. i'm so amazed by your tenacity. Dev & his family is super-wonderful. vlogging & talking while trekking long-distance is no easy feat. your production & edit is high quality. massive congrats to you lovely people ❤you deserve 100/100!
Shevelle,Devan & family. I enjoyed your treking adventure immensely. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. This was better than a National Geographic programme. Towards the end to EBC, I was on edge as your trek became more & more difficult. Relieved you all made it and are in the safe confines of civilization. Nepal have made you better and stronger than before. Thanks for sharing. best wishes. Toronto,Canada.
Every EBC video series I've ever watched has people sick & exhausted at least half of the trip. I go on vacation and I'm proud of like how little traveling stressed me out, like a vacation where I manage to go somewhere and be completely lazy is a win for me. I'll stick with cruises with climate control and buffets thank you, but I'm very happy to see you enjoying it.
Hi Shev and Dev! I just came across your channel and binged all your Nepal content. Loving it! Going back now to view previous journeys. Please do a 'what we packed for EBC', especially with our SA brands with limited warm options?
The old saying of “The family that plays together stays together” is very apt. Dev has his lady life partner and his Dad and brother. Don’t make dreams make memories. Super proud ❤
I enjoyed watching and felt like i was treking too with you guys and you did an amazing job of showing mountains, routes, lodges, food, clothes and other details of how to survive . Amazing. Well done 👍🙏
Bravo finale!! 🔥So emotional to see you guys walking to base camp as a team and completed it together! ps: the snow day you guys experienced was awesome!
I had tears in my eyes as well when you guys got emotional. So lucky to trek Everest Base Camp with family. It was such a heartwarming series of vlogs to watch and feel the adventure you guys had there. Best wishes in life ahead. ☺️🙏🏼🇳🇵
Thank you shev n dev u made my day. Though I was born in nepal living here in California feel like I m alrady missing nepal. So speechless n emotional to watch your video. Thank u for efforts. Much love ❤️
Thank you all of you for taking us on an Everest Expedition !! The enormity of the mountains makes us all seem so insignificant. I'm not sure if _civilization_ is the right word. Fifty years ago ,,,,perhaps.
Guys this is brilliant content, what a magnificent presentation!!! Amazing video, so much effort has been put into this video that it is easy to see in every frame. Masterpiece!!!
Brilliant and very well done you two - your trek and achievement and this video to end a great series. Now go and have a good rest and recharge those batteries !!! Love you guys ... take good care.
Guys, so proud of you, your dad and your brother. There is no better bonding than this. Come to Canada in January to experience some of ours windshield, black ice and windstorm. ❤❤❤❤ watching you from day one and can’t wait for all adventures you are going to take on.
Well done Simon and all of you!! Just found the channel and been binge watching the videos. Love from Malta! Wish to someday do what you guys are doing 😊
Well done guys. You have made us South Africans proud. Found shev so adorable playing in the snow. You'll in a place where it is very cold and almost close to home because South Africa is having winter at the moment. My mum says it so cold that the sardines will definitely come out this year 😂🤣😅
I'm half Nepali and Indian and have watched a few of these trek vidoes over the years. Something different about these guys though. While they seem vulnarable and open to their emotiosns they seem a bit more hardcore than other westerners. Like there is a lot of real strength and determination. I wonder if thats why you are proud of them.
Thank you you so much for sharing and making this wonderful video. Please do visit our lovely country Nepal.❤❤❤ so grateful to have you guys in Nepal. Loads of love
