Very impressed that you made the trek solo without any porters or guide. Also very enjoyable vlog, commentary, and music. Seeing the health issues that Myra had to deal with made your trek more realistic because most EBC vloggers don't show health issues. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching our journey to Kala Patthar and back to Lukla! If you have any questions regarding the EBC trek, feel free to leave a comment or DM us on Instagram! instagram.com/letsmeetabroad/
You're so lucky! When we did our EBC trek back in September of this year, we attempted to hike up to Kala Patthar early in the morning the day after we trekked to EBC. Sadly, the whole area was socked in with fog so we only made it half way up before turning back around. I want to come back just so I can hike up to Kala Patthar on a clear morning. Those views look incredible!
Congratulations on completion of this long tiring and amazing trek filled with so much roller-coaster. Hope to see you guys again in Nepal. Lots of love❤️ from Nepal
Thanks for all these amazing insights on your EBC journey! So beautiful landscapes and wow what an adventure. You really inspire us to visit Nepal and go for the Annapurna Circuit as we love trekking and the mountains. 🙏👍
Thank you for watching, Yes it was indeed an epic journey and we will remember this for the rest of our lives. Annapurna circut is beautiful, you will definetly love it. If you go, then also do the Tilicho Lake. It is amazing :)
Just Wow! Thanks for your sharing and your tips! I can't imagine I will be there in ten days... after six months training and preparation. We will be a group of 9 people including 7 in their sixties including me, from Quebec (Canada). I know it will be difficult but I am very confident to live a great experience. So, you are two wonderful people, keep it up your beautiful adventures. Au revoir et encore merci! ❤
Really enjoyed this video! That was so scary to see Myra with chest pains, and the lightning strike was wild. I can completely agree with you and the feeling you had towards the end of the trek. Well done, both of you!
Loved all your videos. thank you for sharing such a wonderful experience of yours. Can see that you guys really worked hard on all these videos. Best of luck with your upcoming Journey and Videos. Cheers
Fantastic video! I'm a mid sixty (63) person going next spring. I've allotted six weeks (end of March to first week of May) to have plenty of time to Acclimate. I have some questions if you have time. 1. Where did you get your drinking water? 2. Are energy bars available throughout the trek? 3. Access to money...I noticed an ATM in Namche...are you able break large bills? 4. Is it possible to hire a guide or porter to get from one town to the next? 5. Air Transportation...Is it okay to purchase ticket to Lukla once I arrive? What's the cost of the Helicopter? I truly enjoyed your videos.
Wouh that sounds as a great plan! 1. We got aquatabs and got drinkingwater at every tap (more then enough). A lot of people bought plastic bottles everywhere, but that made us really sad... 2. They have energybars in Kathmandu, but not on the track. They have a lot of snickers and other chocolates, but no 'nutritious snacks'. 3. In Namche is an atm, but I don't think you can take that much. Bring enough cash I would recommend! 4. Yep, if you need a porter or guide somewhere they can always try to find one. Porters is for sure no problem, with guides you can maybe join another group! 5. No, book your Lukla flight on time! You really need the earliest flight and they sell out quick... helicopter isn't cheap: 430 to 500 dollar 1 way if you are with 8 persons, but it might be worth the money (the plane is a bit scary..). Hope we helped you!! If you have more questions, just let us know! You're going to have a great adventure 😄😄
What are the odds of capturing an avalanche and lighting on camera on a trip to EBC! I have been watching your video several times a week before I take on the hike by myself in 2 weeks. You guys have beautifully captured your trip. Thank you for sharing.
Just stumbled on your page when I was looking at videos for my upcoming EBC hike. I don't know if you answer a lot of questions on here, but did you do any specific training before going on your EBC trek? Also, what time of year did you do your trek?
So did you do any specific “training”? I’m doing EBC in April and have just been doing a lot of hiking. Unfortunately, I’m at low altitude I can get up to 5k feet or so near me.
Congratulations guys! This is amazing. Shout out to Myra. I was really worried for M, really glad she made it. (Btw, I watch your videos while working out, so I don’t feel so bad. 🤣)
Thanks for posting an alternative route through Phortse to Everest so that the tens of thousands of people who view the video can now veer off and go that route and change the character of that trail to one that is crowded also. Also thanks for posting in general and encouraging other to take the trek. I have done the Three Passes and others but it would bother my conscious to do videos to encourage others to take a trek that is already so overcrowded as the Base Camp Trek is just for whatever amount of money you make from your video and channel. So many beautiful places have become overrun by people posting on TH-cam that the places have been destroyed and turn into a Disneyland type adventure. Mount Everest itself has been destroyed by the number of trekkers that go there. Once again thanks for posting an alternative trek and can't wait for your complete guide to come out more money for you more people trekking a trek that has been destroyed.
Thank you so much, these videos really help people to plan their trips. Do you know countries spend millions of dollars advertising their tourism and Nepal is a country which needs more promotion so that more people from around the world come and add to the economy of the country. Do you also know that more than 90% of the people in the mountain, their income come from tourism? Don't think you thought that thru, but anyways, maybe it gives you a different perspective.
I have gone to Nepal / Everest since 1990 and the area is so overcrowded now that the Airport beyond capacity/ the trails have become just a line of people/ the trekking houses have no rooms because of overcrowding yet people continue to post videos encouraging others to go just so that they can make a few hundred dollars to pay for their hike with no regard to the land and or the environment. Overcrowded has ruined the Trek. I would highly recommend not going to do the trek you will be disappointed due to the crowds and the number of people with go pro's doing their videos and sticking cameras in your face. Namaste
15:09Forgive me for asking this. I am just curious to know. "after a week of no shower ". Did you mean bath in general or "shower" ? What I mean is that in all those places you stayed if there was no option to take a bath then it must have been unpleasant. I hope that wasn't the case.
We reached Everest Base Camp! Check it out here! 🇳🇵 th-cam.com/video/PvrHop0Katg/w-d-xo.html
