My man! Great video...appreciate all of the time you spent clearly explaining and editing. I jotted down some of the tools you used in case anybody needs a shopping checklist: -Impact gun/drill -Torque wrench -Ratchet -Mallet -Flat head screw driver -Loc-Tite -Anti-seize -Jack (2) -Paint marker -Grease gun/grease -Channel locks -Pry bar -12mm, 14mm, 17mm, 21mm, 22mm sockets/wrenches -Small magnet light
Tech Tip, purchase 2 new front upper control arm bolts before starting the front lift install if you are changing the upper arms. When you remove the existing upper control arm bolts, push them as forward as you can and then cut them with a cut-off wheel or etc... when installing, bring the bolts in from the rear of the arm / nuts in front. (this eliminates a lot of extra work)
I'm a mechanic at a Toyota dealership. if that ever happens to you, you can do a throttle body service after plugging in your battery or while it's out and that won't happen its the carbon build up around the throttle plate that causes that.
How to fix the fucked up front wheels after the lift? they lose vertical alignment, you can see it clearly on yours 00:0100:23 and I can feel it while driving the steering lost the dead center.
30:19 I keep the left over grease on the fitting. Next time I grease it, the dirt will be collected in the grease, and not all over the fitting. Either way, you will need to clean the fitting before applying more grease. Leaving a little on there makes it a tiny bit easier. IMO
This is a really great video for the upgrade. Very informative and detailed. You are way more brave than I am to go at it by yourself. Did you ever put on that washer you forgot on the front driver's side shock?
Thanks brotha! I did my best to include every step n tips to make it easier for everyone. Oh yea those washers are back in aha. Don't want my shocks to be flying off on the trails
Hey, love this video, I just had a question that I have a 2006 lexus gx 470, I was wondering i buy a 3 inch rough country lift for a 4 runner same year as lexus will it fit?
No I don't have to extend the drive shaft. You don't need extended drive shaft to lift your truck. Would be a pain if we did have to do that sort of stuff just to lift the rig aha.

@@OverlandRay okay thanks for that. Also, I've been looking for that bracket for the front sway bar, but it's not listed for the GX470.. I just wanted to make sure that is the correct fitment. I have 2003 GX470, it WILL work right?
So far so good. Build quality looks great and rides quality is great on the road. About to take it on it’s first trip next week after I get my wheels on
I’m confused why didn’t you order the Dobinson rear airbag to coil kit that looks kinda like rubber cones with the bump stops. I’m about to order on trail runner website also but they said it’s required to get the kit to complete the conversion?
** For your SPC UCA set the caster +0! The alignment shop corrected it after i brought it in.

This is one of the best step by step instructions i found on the web, great job
Thank you! I appreciate it!
Super informative video
I used this as a step-by-step for my lift kit really appreciate the time you spent on this
For future reference, there is a fuse puller in the main fuse box in the top right corner of the picture in the video at 40:45
You did a really nice job with this video. Keep up the good work!

I have an LX470 and intend to do the same conversion. Great instructions, you earned yet another subscriber.
I finished watching half of the video yeay I get a beer... But seriously pretty cool engagement with the audience.
I'll also have myself a nice cold beer. Cheers!
Great video! When we upgraded our suspension, we had the springs separate... Hardest part was compressing them! Wish we had done it like you!
Thanks a lot brother detailed without all the extra bs self promo crap appreciate it you got a follow from me

Im so glad i did my wheels before my lift 😂
Why would you want to do this?
Need a long term suspension review
Excellent vid bro, looking to lift my 04 gx470. Im going w SPC UCA, still deciding on shocks/springs. Thanks and have fun!
Did any VSC or check engine light come on due to the air bag delete
Why did you remove the two bolts by the lower ball joint? Are you sure that's necessary?
Appreciate the content! Just bought my first gx
Best video out there !
Great video! Can I hire you for an install? No joke.

Hi, I want to know we're to get that 2.5" lift kit for the Lexus gx470? I want to lift my 2008 gx470 for 2.5"
Does a 3 inch lift affect the cvs? I'm about to buy a 470 and this is the first thing I'm going to do.
Really clear and informative video
Hey, love this video, I just had a question that I have a 2006 lexus gx 470, I was wondering i buy a 3 inch rough country lift for a 4 runner same year as lexus will it fit?
Because isn’t the same chassis?
Thanks! Call rough country to see if they're compatible.
How much it cost for whole kit set?
Great video. Do you remember which spring isolator you used?
I used this one from amazon.
amzn.to/3CuzGXI
now, those 285/70's will look serious
Do you also have to extend the drive shafts, etc. I thought when you do a lift you have to do that. Not sure if I missed that.

has stock slipyolk drive shafts anyway. make sure you grease them with your u joints!!! avoid the clunk at stops.
will this work for KDSS equiped models?
Prices?
Sick install video! Where can I get more info on these coilovers and shocks?
You can contact them on IG @TrailRunnerUSA. They're still working on launching the website but it should be live soon!
What did you do with electronic sensors on stock front shocks?
You could just tape them and zip tie them up and out of the way.
Do you know the part number or model of the Moog upper isolators you used on the rear springs? Thanks man!

No problem brotha!
Great work! Well done
wow great job on this video
After this long how have you liked the trail runner stuff?
Had em for almost 2 years. So far so good. No issues with them
how much was the kit bro?
where can I buy this?
Nice👌, will it clear 33s without doing anything.?
No they definitely will not clear aha. Going to rub city with that
Good info, thanks Ray
Thank you Dai Lo!
What trail front coilover did you order 2" or 3"? Also rear springs 2" or 3"? Great job man!!
Thank you! I got the 3" in the front and 2" in the rear
Wow thanks for showing every step! You might be able to save me $750 on Installation ❤️
Any time!
How do u like the suspension?
They're amazing! The compression & rebound adjustments makes it more plush while mobbing through the trails.
Think they would do ok in salt ? Live in Minnesota
Super detailed video thank you!!!
Very Nice!!!

All this becomes much nicer to work on if you use a pressure washer on everything then let it dry before you start.
1000% agree with you on that.
