Finally got it up and running. The only delays we had was because we realized we needed some extra parts (I’ll list that below) th-cam.com/users/postUgkxihMYiJNXcHdbH-7ihymsLz61l7jVyb5O . So we have a loft where our current hvac just couldn’t seem to keep cool during the summer. We have been using a window unit since we bought this house over 6 years ago (all the houses in this neighborhood were built in the 80’s and majority of the houses built like ours use a window unit). I hate window units because they are just so noisy and the one we had really only cools one side of the loft. I had contemplated upgrading our current HVAC, but with all the rising prices these days, it would take years before saving up enough to do that. With the advice of my father-in-law (used to run an HVAC business), he recommended we get an inverter instead. We thought we bought everything we needed, but there were just a few other parts we didn’t anticipate needing (which is what caused most of our delay). My friend and father-in-law did all the work to get it installed and running and now we have nice cool air circulating nicely throughout the entire loft. It is very quiet and even the outside unit is much quieter than our main HVAC unit. Saved ourselves thousands getting this.
actually those technicians have done some horrible job during this installation.. notice that indoor unit is placed so close to the ceiling? it's a colossal no no..
You can't install an ac so close to the ceiling there needs to be space of atleast 12 inches so that the indoor machine doesn't have issues sucking the air from above and ultimately throwing it towards the blower
Thank you! I was about to point that out... those technicians didn't get proper training I guess.. that's a super basic stuff that they just completely missed out. wonder what else they would miss out down the line.. maybe pipe thickness for specific Freon which can be fatal. and don't worry about the guys that say something about 'because it's Australia' thingy.. they're just trolling you out.

I need to lift my sinking house but my outdoor unit is placed on the ground. Do I absolutely need to decommission the outdoor unit before lifting the wall? I only need to lift the wall by 7cm or max 10cm. Can I just lift the outdoor unit slowly as I lift the wall?
hi, Haniff, it is better to remove the connection between indoor and outdoor unit before you do this work, if your refrigirant is R32 , it is very danger to lift it together with the wall. you couldnt directly disconnect the two pipes, you should turn on the airco, and set it to cool mode, lowest temperature, 10 ms later, you use a hex key turn the smallpipe's valve tightly, 15 seconds later, use the hexkey to turn the another pipe's valve tightly, then immediately remove the power supply.
@@pineychristian You may check Daikin installation manual for this residential air-condition system. It shows Installation drawing for both indoor/outdoor unit. Drawing states 30mm or more from ceiling.

AC expert here. None of this is professional, quite the opposite. Pipes must go under the AC and the hole on the wall must be on the left side. Thats a law in the industry. Putting it on the right side means it will be impossible to maintain the AC later, or you have to break down the full piping from the outside to do so. If you put it next to a wall, you have to leave as much place as much needed for the original piping, especially the end of it. Never accept if somebody installs an AC like this at you!
