i'ld almost guarantee there was nothing wrong with the old unit as they were from the same product line and I know that the unit wasn't reversed and the duct are crossing over under the house. If these installers has read the installation manual, they would've saved time and money. Also instead on using the older style controller, i would have persuaded the customer to upgrade to the NC7 touch controller for minimal cost.

this installation is how not to do it! The indoor unit need at least 50cm free space from the wall, and at least 30cm from the ceiling. This is from the instslation manual that they never read it!
