That the archon in this popped like a bubble, instead of melting half the MMM ball, was terrible.
Isn’t there also a cinematic of a truly epic sized Ultralisk too? Attacking a human city?

@@andrewbeznosov8046 One mission she’s all “Let’s burn the entire infested colony before we leave the planet” and the next she’s like “No Jim! You can’t slaughter my infested people! Go declare war on the protoss for doing what we did last mission”.
@@charliemallonee2792 She was clearly already infested at that point. That's why "Haven's Fall" is the ony and only choice. It should have been canon.

@@manupainkiller It's my head-canon, not offical canon. But seriously, in the previous mission she's like "kill them all, burn everything". And later she's like "no-no, please don't kill infested people... I fill find a cure in one day even though before it couldn't be found in 5 years by research teams with 1000x resources".
She's crazy and with completely changed mind... or she's infested.
This ultralisk seems more balanced than normal version, still can't wait for omegalisks

This mission has a trigger that changes the HP of the stone zealots according to difficult. He probably changed the unit HP in the editor but didn't change that trigger.
Also, scouts should probably be a bit stronger and a bit smaller, they have a cockpit the size of a living room. lol
Yeah, we've seen scouts in the brood war cinematics and they're not that much bigger than a mutalisk or guardian.
To be fair, you can basically fit an entire banshee inside of a scout cockpit
@@spaceDumps mutalisk = the size of the engine on the back of a scout. It's basically the size of an interceptor/banshee, while a scout is close to the size of a thor.
A scout is an entire starship, one designed for long range missions. It's not supposed to be a fighter. Also you gotta remember that the protoss are like, 7-9 feet tall. So yeah, their ships are gonna be big.
Gotta love Grant's utter refusal to build bunkers to hold the zerg

@@andrewbeznosov8046 ...which is weird, I would have thought bunkers would be stronger in this mod; as per lore a giant reinforced concrete/steel pillbox should hold up pretty well against dog-sized lings bashing their heads against it and spines being spit at them. They should also be bigger & hold more units, but I think that while the mod was easily able to change unit sizes & stats, it was/is much harder to change building sizes.
The existence of this mod has now given me immeasurable amounts of amusement

I like the fact that there's a disrepency between zealot's hp and shield values. If memory serves, prior to some big patch back in BW, or maybe even vanilla, they were 100 hp / 60 shields, before the two values were rounded up to 80 each.

Size of the scout is pretty accurate to other sources I can find online. Definitely more ship than strike craft, but that makes sense.

Grant said that after "Engine of destruction" all flyers will be smaller. They'll retain their scale according to each other, but all flying units will be smaller

I think the surface area changes is why your firebats almost died at the start of the mission.

New sub here. Co-op scrub with minimal runthroughs of the campaigns, wanted to point out, praise, and thank you for the tone of voice and not sure if you're properly thanked for it. It very much has a learned-intellectual sound to it, managing effortlessly to be informative and attentive to matters in the game without sounding like the typical holier-than-thou nerd. I only wish I could be so effortlessly informative to others.

I thought Roaches were the size of a car.
I believe they're actually supposed to be the same size in the game but the lore (books and the Nova comics) has weirdly gone in the opposite direction and made them smaller than marines.
I definitely think the scout was a bit big and the stalkers and zealots were a bit small. A zealot should be 5/3rds the height of a human, even one in a marine suit.

How can I play it? In the arcade there are only five missions and they are also a bit different. No stim and no upgrades for example

Something I just realized is that Pylons are a lot smaller in the mod than in the lore. PErhaps that could be fixed?

I am always so surprised by flamethrowers in games. Same with shotguns, it's like, always a range of about your arms
Meanwhile a real flamethrower can hit shit at over 50 meters and shotguns has a lethal range of the same. That is more than most revolvers and standard caliber handguns
It’s just representation.
The marine weapons in lore have effective range of about half mile, but in the game they have a range of about 50 yards. Same reasoning applies to firebats.

I understand why they're missing, but the (persistent) campaign upgrades and the mercenaries not making it in makes me sad. I can only imagine the pita it would be to basically have to make multiple copies of the map for every available combination of armory / zerg/toss upgrades.
Oh, looks like the merc compound does appear in the second mission, so maybe I spoke to soon on them existing, but I'm guessing the choice of what's available isn't in the player's hands.
You'll be able to pick your choice of armory upgrades and lab research in the finished mod. It just won't be persistent. It's definitely possible to make it carry between missions, but giving players more freedom is generally better (And it also requires way more effort on modmaker's side)
