Man..my memory was surely of the enhanced variety! LoL Rose colored glasses and all. I like the crispness of these enhancements but I think I like the unwobbling of textures. 9x might be steep on my potato but it's ps1....how hard can it push a mondern cpu? Thanks for the guide and showing them in practice!
@@JustJamie1983how did u get the tekken arcade just asking i remember bk in the old days ps1 Tekken used to have the arcade version but my ps1 had a modchip
Sorry, but these just look awful, IMO. Native res, standard settings, and a (properly configured) CRT shader should be as far as it goes. 1st generation 3D graphics of the PS1 are simply not designed to scale higher. They were designed with low res CRTs in mind. ..and the best way to play Ridge Racer, if you want it with better graphics, is the Ridge Racer Bonus Turbo Disc. That version was an experimental one that runs at a full 640x480 and 60FPS.
In some ways I agree, but the best way to preserve the original look is high native but down sample. That looks fantastic for me. Preserves the low Res but looks great on big screen. some games look better just at 9x or whatever, but in general I like down sampling

This is how those games look on a good CRT
It's Awesome UpScaling these games, Makes you feel old LOL
Thank you for putting up the adjustments to the settings prior to each demo so we can add the tweaks desired. Bravo @JustJamie1983!
gran turismo 1...the masterpiece of ps1...the cd that comes with ps1 is great
I love some of these classics, and they look great! A scrubbed up Lara Croft? Yes please! 😍
Haha. Still polygon lol
Nice improvement. Thanks Jamie.
@ronm6585 superb aren't they 😀

To be honest. PS1 Emulation isn't massively big on requirements. Give it a bash.
I really liked this video. Keep them coming.
Best settings for Bug & Bug too on the sega saturn?
Great video…thanks.
@danalabomme968 hey, my pleasure 😀
Tekken 3 looks so much cleaner!
Yup. It scrubbed up pretty nicely 👌
The biggest difference I noticed was in racing games
Yup. I definitely agree with you.
So what? We've been enhancing PS1 games like this since 2001 with ePSXe. You're 24 years late to the party.
Yup. Follow my 24 years too late guide to setting it up 😀

This is why emulation is always better than playing on original hardware.
@@chazcov08 I absolutely agree.
With input lag and glitches? Terrible inaccurate? Yeah no ...

Preference my friend 😀
Those "Enhanced PS1 Games" look like shit. Original PS graphics were never meant to look this way.
Well, we know that. But it's down to preference. Your opinion isn't everyone else's. PS. No swearing please. We have kids watching and reading.
