Taking a look for somebody that does not wanna be found. No doubt in my mind she went missing on purpose. It was clearly all planned out. I think the wreck was just the last part of the plan. Let's see, she has an overbearing dad, she had gotten into trouble over a wreck, she had been arrested for credit card fraud, she lies and tells her professors she had a death in the family etc. I honestly think it was all part of her plan to start a new life. I think she was just under a lot of pressure to be perfect, and she just wanted a new life. She clearly even staged the scene, because a rag was stuffed in her tailpipe. I think the wreck and the rag were done on purpose to make things look suspicious. She also had burner phones, which she clearly used to setup her disappearance. I would bet my last dollar that if we ever find out what happened, we will find out she simply walked away to start a new life.

I never heard of a young adult crashing two separate cars in the space of 3 days. There is a lot that was going on with Maura Murray that is downplayed. I strongly believe she succumbed to the freezing weather.
I still think local police didn’t do a good job looking into the bus driver. Why did everyone just believe him that she said she didn’t need help and he went home and left her. He’s the the most likely to have been involved. His word should not have been enough for an alibi. He moved off to Florida soon after which seems suspicious. His property and home should have been thoroughly searched with dogs and radar.
Exactly they just let him walk like nothing happen they supposed to been asking him questions everyday of the search since he was the only witness.. but clearly the police ain’t do they job I guess it was to cold that week
He didn't have enough time to do anything with her.He called the police within minutes of him seeing her Read the timeliness from the police report He went directly home after seeing her.
@@peggygraham6129 Why do you believe him?! And she was gone immediately from that point! Never seen again. Why do you believe he didn’t have her? Hidden her in his home or in his shed or bus?
He also “went looking” for her in his personal vehicle that night after she allegedly disappeared, according to him at the request of a member of law enforcement. Very odd.
Maybe "the death in the family" which she spoke of was that of her own. Did she have issues with depression? Did she walk away from the crash & disappear somewhere else?
Maura didn't hit a tree, there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever of this, including no tracks in the snow to support this, yet police officer Smith indicated she did in his accident report. Why? You don't falsify a police report for no reason; that reason is known to LE and the New Hampshire State Attorney General's office. That same Attorney General's office, even today, refuses to declare that Maura was a victim of a crime. I think the family knows why, but what they want to know is where her body is in order to bring her home.
Did she consume all of the alcohol she bought? Was any of it still in the locked car? If not, maybe she left with some stranger(s) who wanted to party. If she was already inebriated she may have made a deadly mistake. Just my guess.
When you look at all the facts she was definitely up to something… -lied to Professors about family death to explain planned absence -w/drew $280.00 which is a lot of $$ back then -bought significant amt of ETOH Hopefully, they’ll find some answers/closure for the family.

I know it's hard for people to accept and frankly, it's a theory that everyone involved in this case don't want to discuss but, I believe Maura is dead in those woods because she committed suicide. Things were on a downward slope and don't forget, Maura's father's first statement to police was he believed she had walked off and ended her life. Unless a killer was following her, the idea she crossed paths with a killer right after her accident is way more superficial than suicide. The internet wants to point fingers because it makes it more interesting, but after hours and hours of researching this case, that's my theory. I would never rule her being murdered out until but, I believe it was suicide/accident.
I just started to 'over analyze' this case. Watched the oxygen series 3xs, etc. I have a few questions I haven't found the answers. 1. Can a person hit, head to windshield hard enough to shatter the glass, if both airbags were deployed? If her head hit the windshield, it would have left a very large red area and a bump etc. The bus driver would have definitely seen the wound, if there was one. 2. The wine on the ceiling and driver side door of the car. In the pics it looks like a lot. If the car didn't roll over, how did that much wine get on the ceiling? I doubt a cardboard box of wine could shatter the windshield. I'm awaiting James Renners book. From all the info I've digested so far I'm heavily leaning toward; she got into another car at that intersection going east. The place where 2 dogs lost her scent. The odds are higher then ppl think about randomly picked up by a serial killer. Too many young women disappear from that area. It is only 10 mi to where Molly Bish disappeared. It was the time of day when those POS' are out trolling for victims. It's possible she did the 'squaw walk'. Her life was literally falling apart! Most of the articles get the timeline of crimes wrong. 1st she was caught shop lifting about $5 of make up from a shop at Fort Knox. That's when a judge said if she could stay out of trouble for 3mos the record would be clean. And West point asked her to drop out etc. She enrolled at Umass. That's where she was busted for using a stolen credit card to pay for pizza, within the 3mos. Holy CRAP! Even if the cops missed the DUIs in the 2 car accidents she was in really deep crap! I cringe at the thought of driving a decrepit car a long distance. She was desperate, at the very end of her rope etc. I've read David Paulides books. It's possible 411 is in play. Per the book, Death in Yosemite, it's very possible she did wonder deep into the wilderness and someone will find her shoes etc decades from now. I also think Maura knew she had a BIG problem with alcohol and how much trouble she was in. Maura is/was an adult child of an alcoholic. 2 car accidents in such a short time. What's with her dad letting her take his car knowing she was drinking at dinner and on her way to a party with more booze.
Her intent was suicide but then she ended up in the woods, was accidentally shot by a hunter and dumped into that river. LE knows that's why it's unsolved.
@@jonmclain2842 WHY? It might just make u less crazy! It would help to read David Paulides book. He's very legit. Maybe the intersection is where she left the road, not by getting into another car, but by changing directions etc. A person as desperate as Maura was fueled by adrenaline, booze, and eventually the sleeping pills. As athletic as she was, she could have traveled 12+ miles into the wilderness. I still think she got into another car. She knew the cops would be there shortly. She panicked and jumped into the 1st car that stopped. Which I believe is the same POS that killed Molly Bish.
No one ever seems to tell the whole story here. There is a lot of backstory where she felt like a failure. And I can totally empathize with her. Very successful older sister very successful boyfriend who she was cheating on. The reason she went into nursing was she was expelled from the military academy for using a credit card or stolen check. She felt she couldn’t live up to all the successful people around her she’s having an affair with her much much older cross country/track coach she may have been pregnant. She wrecked her father’s rental car, she wrecked her car. And she probably just wanted to disappear and start a new life. Or she may have been abducted on a cold evening Or she may have wondered far far into the woods and suffered death by exposure. I can totally emphasize with her stress and thoughts of failure. I just wish whenever they tell the story there was that there is so much more motivation for her to want to disappear
A documentary did what she did the day she went missing. They went withdraw money, buy alcohol and go to where she had an accident. I know, 2004 is different to 2017. But when they did it, they arrive in a car crash site 1 jour earlier than Maura.
Marny you are jsut awesome! I love watching you and your reports, love it! I disagree with the sister and the friend that were also on your LIVE report tonite. I just think that if she drank a lot, crashed her car and then refused help that she just walked off and succumb to her alcohol consumption and the elements. I think if it was foul play that LE would have found more evidence of that and apparently there wasn't any. Sometimes I think things with these disappearances things are way more simple than we try and make the true outcome of what happened to really be.
Then if that’s the case where is her body if it’s so simple why couldn’t they find her in the woods over there. The body doesn’t vanish there would be a trace somewhere. Usually with suicide or succumbing to elements the body is found if a thorough search is done they will find the bones at the least or clothing.
@@eyebagsandhandbags6493 It was a super cold february in 2004 from what was described and if she did just walk away and im saying that maybe she had drank way too much and then passed out after the wreck in the woods, i know from my experience, it wouldn't take long someone exposed to those temperatures to not survive.
