My parents grew up on fordham road, my dad is Irish and my mom is Spanish and Irish, they grew up in the same era and my dad definitely got his balls broken but he loved her and they are married 60 years now. Chaz is a genius for this screenplay…
So happy to hear your parents never let the pressure get to them! :)
How I wish to find someone to love me for 60 years
Eh a quarter Spanish isn't bad, but a mooli? Oof marone
"Spanish" as in Spain?
@@Mo-yd8xc no Spanish as in Lithuania 🇱🇹
My step father was an Italian from Italy,he was the best man I ever met.
That was a beautiful movie.
My aunt married an Italian man in the 70s after her 1st husband died as a brown girl with nappy hair in the early 70s I can tell you that man is one of the best men ever had in my life after my own father there was not one day I ever felt he did not treat me like his own blood he died in the late 80s I still over 40+ years think about the times I spent at my aunt and my beloved uncle Mario ❤
Periods, you ever heard of them?
I’m Irish, Portuguese and Norwegian. My mom’s was married before. I have two brothers who are Puerto Rican Portuguese and Norwegian. I don’t care we’re brothers. I love them both. We have the same mom. That’s Enough for me.
😂😂😂 You forgot alien to, your eligible to play for every country in the solar system you fucking helmet 😂
Yeah my sister and I have different dads and I didnt even know that made us half sisters till I was 15 cos my mum let us believe that ur only half siblings if ur mums were different cos usually ur raised separately in that situation. Were the same race like but ur comment reminded me of that. ❤ RIP mummy I love u ❤
@@plainmaryjane hope you and all your family are doing good lots of love from Scotland
@@garyrfc123 thank u! And the same to u and urs mate! 💖💖💖💖 from liverpool
I’m a Puerto Rican and grew up in the Bronx was born in the Bronx in 1955 and lived in morris pk They the Italians are very protective of their own people you blame them 🤌🏻🍕
Yeah but we get looked at as racist because we’re fuckin white lmao. If your white and you “love you people” your a racist
Italian men with black women doesn't get the same treatment as Italian women with black men.
@santo4172
Italian men and women certainly are.
Italian women are the most likely white women to get with black guys.
I just found out he wrote a bronx tale. 😮
& Robert Dinero helped him Direct the movie
Dude u need to get out more and talk to people 😮
His father wanted him with an Italian girl like all Italian parents
If he wanted that his father should have stayed in Italy. Not immigrate to the United States.
His father wanted his son with a "White" girl , regardless if she was Italian or not.
He wanted his son with an Italian that's the.most natural there is its not about race all the time
@@negloblaxon7616 Italians are better than White Saxons. The powerful Roman race.
At this point racism is just pattern recognition.
Hey did you know that Leon Trotsky invented that word?
My grandmother used to be the same way. She’s 84 now. She grew up in the back woods of Tennessee and she was raised, “not to marry outside of your race.” When my husband and I got married, (he’s black, I’m white,” she was very concerned, “how we would be treated,” and, “how our kids would be treated. Cut to 20 years later, my husband is her favorite person on Earth, my kids are her favorite people in the world, and she doesn’t give a crap what anyone thinks!!!
That's great to hear! So happy for you and your family :)
Ew how did your dad react?
Even in 1980, racism was very much an open and acceptance fact of life.
My sister is mixed a d I was 5 years old and my uncle and aunt would not hold her and even at that young I thought how stupid is that!? I could also see how hurt it made my mom feel
Well that is the only thing they knew, they didn’t know any different. And to suggest that in the past, they should’ve behaved more liberally or tolerant is absurd. Maybe you people who love talking about how racist Americans are haven’t traveled the world, but the stuff that appalls us from the 1950-1990s is completely normal and accepted in almost every other country that isn’t western. Even in Mexico racism is so open and prevalent. No one is afraid of saying what they want, they don’t fear anything or anyone’s opinion because they treat someone differently because ultimately races are different
@@Austin-cx2xeas much as people don't want to acknowledge this, it's the truth
I’ve seen that too and still do. Look at it like this the baby can’t help it so treat and love them the same. I understand people have different opinions to.
@@Austin-cx2xe I suppose you think it should’ve stayed that way
The older you get the more tribalistic you get I guess, I wouldn't want no beige grandkid either
Some? I grew up in Brooklyn in the 70s - 90s and yes the whole neighborhood was racist
My first GF was Italian from South Philly. Man she was good to me.

Love the convo between Chaz & Michael.
Any year or any time was tough no matter what decade it was as years go on an decades it gets harder an harder in life an living ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I may be wrong, but are u saying racism has gotten WORSE? 🤔😬

@Ninomoltisanti2810they rely on others too much
lol the same hardships hell no. Waaaay worst for blacks always has been. Idk why people always trying to compare their peoples struggle in this country with black peoples. Blacks had it worst than everyone else by a country mile back in those days
@@pablogats4627you buy into stereotypes?
Where were the no Italian signs?
Italians invented drive by shootings and the "brothas" are the ones whom get "credit" for them.
Yeah the Hispanics say the same thing.
EVERYONE seems to suffer the way "brothas" do, but take them out of the picture and there is never any comparison.

Chazz he didn't want a Moulyon grandkid let's b honest here
It’s the same now ….10 years ago a young black man (15) was hitting on my daughter, I was really torn on how to feel.
The moment you realize nobody really gives a shyt about you, even the people from the old neighborhood, you stop giving a shyt about "what people might think".
There's no such thing as racism, it's always perceived if somebody doesn't like you they're racist. sorry but no, there's no requirement that anybody has to like you. just get over yourself and mind your own business
Dumbest shit I've ever read
My father or mother wasn't prejudice...im Sicilian/ Italian...an I have 2 baby moms from my 2 sons one is black one is Latino
RIP the mafia, is this what its come to? All these ppl just blame their parents yet stick up for them. Are u a victim or not?

I think it’s hilarious a 3rd or 4th generation American claiming to be “Italian”
It’s in their DNA, they look that way because it runs in their blood
Wow, words of wisdom right there baby 😅
EVERYONE is Instinctively, genetically encoded to be drawn to their own race. It's the most prominent feature of the natural world. From invisible particles to human beings this can be observed. And, overtly stated or not, everyone sees what they are as intrinsically more important than what they are not.
LOOOL what a load of nonsense
Well said
Uh… no.
Love you Sonny !
Oh please 😂😂😂😂😂
Chaz with that soy sauce hair lol
Yes I
You keep telling yourself that.
So they never lasted?
They did in part 3
Since when are Italians considered white?
Since they aren't considered anything else.
Italians have black in them too!
Yep
Not really, moors were north African

Same time it is today

My dad was a civil rights activist i grew up reading Malcolm X but as i got older i saw for myself theres bad in every race
Well, yes, but not sure what your point is. People are terrible and wonderful regardless of race, but the thing is to not judge them due to their appearance, rather than their character.
