YOU MADE ME SCREAM IN LAUGHTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you know Sammy the Bull was on crutches going around New York to find and kill the leader of the bikers?
He is a star . Are you stunad ? Chazz and DeNiro were absolutely fantastic in that movie based on Chazz's life. I remember those old city buses in the city then and ? The funky colored Police cars the cops drove around in back then Marone.
Chazz mentioned "Rocky" in the beginning of the interview and ironically, his story is very similar to Sly Stallone's. Stallone turned down $360,000 to sell the rights of his screenplay because he wanted to play the role of Rocky. Ultimately, he won out too and the rest is history.
Thank you for becoming that sonny. It was perfect and it’s one of my favorite movies. Not only that, but only you knew who sonny was and you wanted to be like him. That’s amazing.
This was the neighborhood into which I was born. This movie is one of my all time favorites because it brings back memories of when so much of my family were still alive. I wish that I knew then what I know now! Rest in peace all of my family and friends who came up together in the Belmont District of the Bronx. We're still a special breed of people.
francisco4ben hello, it was based on Chazz’ls Life And true story from his life growing up, He was playing Sony and was his life story as a child!which Denaro directs with him!!! But in real life he was, Cee
Similar background as My Big Fat Greek Wedding was a one woman play by Nia Vardalos. Was seen by Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson who eventually produced it.Despite it and being an independent film with a $5 million budget, it ultimately grossed over $368.7 million worldwide.
“A Bronx Tale” is one of the greatest movies of all time, and it’s a shame that it only did $17 million at the box office. Similarly, “Shawshank Redemption” is one of the greatest movies of all, and it was a flop at the box office.
I saw the movie maybe 15 or 16 years ago and LOVED it. Then, I had the good fortune to see Mr. Palminteri do his one-man show in what I guess was a revival production in New York 11 or 12 years ago. De Niro called it when he said, "You did a whole movie out there!" The play, with just this one actor was actually BETTER than the movie, and the movie was pretty damn good. Palminteri acted all the parts, providing narration, too. Some of the best story-telling I've ever had the privilege to see. Bravo, Mr. Palminteri! Bravo!!
Love that story. It showed that he had real balls to stick it out and was willing to go down with the ship should the worst happen. But considering how hot his story was, it was only a matter of time. I always said that it needed the right director and fortunately he happened to come along.
I love A bronx tale And Sonny is the best I have learned too many things from that man ❤❤❤❤ "Nobody cares" and "Trouble is like a cancer" [Sonny] Thank you for these beautiful advice ❤❤❤❤ Love you😊
Everyone ask him the same thung...and I can hear it mesmerized over and over...but he never said how much he got....1.5 mill...on his terms...got it his way....great movie!
A Bronx Tale 🎬 such a great movie... Details on how the movie is made, from where is the original idea, and behind the scenes are sooo fcking crazy... We love you Chazz, couldn't be a better Sonny than you...
A Bronx Tale is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen in my life. Top 5 for sure, and without Chazz as Sonny I can honestly say it would not have been as successful.

I'm so glad that Mr. Chazz had that encounter with Swifty. Only God knows what would've happened had he not been inspired to write about his life events and we may not have had A Bronx Tale to watch!
Believe in your dreams and your passion! Bravo! Great film especially since I knew some people from the Bronx near that era and vouched for the authenticity!
Chazz Palminteri stuck to his guns and never let up on the negotiations. That's a Gangster right there. And kudos for De Niro for even suggesting that he should write an star in it. Great movie and watching it for the zillionth time right now.
Here's a tale for the kids kids!!! Conviction uncompromising belief whatever the cost coz its from the heart n soul beat that dnt miss a beat. Yes he had mileage thru the stage an audience but he knew he had to stay true. De Niros 🤚 solid as rock what more can one ask or hope for . The angels landed. Original.. they will tread over broken glass bearfoot for that!!!
Dear Director Chad,❤ I'm Shirley from the Bronx, and I'm reaching out to you today because I've been inspired by your work and dedication to storytelling. Recently, someone brought to my attention your affiliation with Westchester County, where I currently reside. What's more, one of my friends happens to be a fan of your work, and I've been following your journey as a director. For the past two years, I've been working on a screenplay that started as a comedy but evolved into an autobiographical account of my life. I've come to realize that a personal screenplay is a culmination of one's emotions, and I'm excited to share my story with the world. Your belief in yourself and your craft is truly inspiring, and I feel that my screenplay has the potential to touch millions of hearts. Through my research and study of the masters, I've learned that a great story is what captures a director's attention, not just the technical aspects of filmmaking. I believe that my story, which revolves around themes of adoption and secrets, has the power to resonate with audiences and bring attention to the often-overlooked experiences of children who have been left behind. My screenplay is a tribute to my father, whose talents went unnoticed, and I hope to honor his memory by sharing my story with the world. I feel a connection to your work, Director Chad, and I believe that my story would resonate with you on a deep level. I'm not looking to share the real emotions I felt as an adult discovering my father's past, but I'm eager to share my story in a way that will touch hearts and minds. I've become an expert in telling a story that will leave a lasting impact, and I hope to have the opportunity to share it with you. Thank you for considering my work, and I look forward to the possibility of collaborating with you in the future. Sincerely, Shirley
That's the way to go #ChazzPalminteri and about the writing just watched last week how #MichaelFranzese was giving it a review on TH-cam and gave it 10 out of 10 for authenticity!! It took him back in time in his old neighborhood, and praised the authenticity of the everyday things you described that took him back in the days. If you had let some "big Hollywood writers" to write the script it would never be really authentic! Well done #ChazzPapminteri And also #FrankCullota who recently passed RIP said about you #Chazz that you played a wise guy and thay role in particular really well and authentic! And in my opinion you really did!!! #ABronxTale #CalogeroPalminteri
I hope that one day .... Just one day in my life ? I can sit down and talk with Chazz . Both he and I are native born Bronx guy's im 62 he's 66? We were both in the Bronx as kids around the same time. Plus ? I'm willing to bet? Both Chazz and his Parents would remember a business that was in both my family and the Bronx years ago. Plus? My late Grandfather was friends with the late voice of the Yankees Mel Allen. Small, small world huh? A Bronx tale for this guy here? The greatest movie ever made. And Chazz? You....Yyyooouuu gotta gift my friend yes you do. Ciao.
The bronx tale wouldn't be the same without sonny as sonny

Hard to think that was one of Chazz's early movies, he plays the role like he's a star
He is a star . Are you stunad ? Chazz and DeNiro were absolutely fantastic in that movie based on Chazz's life. I remember those old city buses in the city then and ? The funky colored Police cars the cops drove around in back then Marone.

Makes me think how many potential movies there must be out there that don't get made because of turndowns like this.
Stallone holding out was the inspiration for Aflfeck and Damon holding out with Good Will Hunting.
Thank god Chazz didnt give in. He knew his talent and what it was worth. The film was beautifully directed. It is a Masterpiece
I can't see anyone else playing Sonny. Classic performance!
$200 in the bank? Truly an inspirational example of integrity. Thank you for sharing. The Dad's business card....what a moment.
Thank you for becoming that sonny. It was perfect and it’s one of my favorite movies. Not only that, but only you knew who sonny was and you wanted to be like him. That’s amazing.

its crazy it was just a play and turned into one of the greatest movies of all time

I loved this movie because it showed the truth of "the working man" that are the heroes not the thugs!
"Just" a play? It is a phenomenal movie and I love it, but let's respect theater some more, please.
What a travesty that it only made 17 million dollars. When CGI crash bang garbage makes hundreds of millions.
