I finally went out on an andventure by myself. When I fisrt came to Korea it was just when the pandemic had taken a step back, so a lot of the stores in Myeongdong were closed since there was a lack of tourists. Myeongdong is a part of most tourists bucket list for Korea, and I would say that you absolutley should take a look if you want to go shopping for some skincare and makeup, but be aware that the workers there will always try to sell you more than what you were planning on buying. They literally follow you around the store.
But apart from the streets with all these stores there is a less known area where there are a bunch of murals on the houses. It is a very beautiful area that you should definantly go to.
After having walked around in Myeongdong I wanted to make my way up to Namsan. Seoul Tower is of course also one of the places on all tourists bucket list. Being up there gives you the ability to see the whole city of Seoul from one spot. And the sunset is amazing. My goal is to walk up to Namsan every season this year, and I am really looking forward to doing that. The track has a lot of stairs, but it is not as long as you would Think, so I consider it to be quite an easy hike to do. And that is coming from someone who doesen't hike.
