Crucially, as differentiates them from plexi amps, the Sheriffs have quite a bit of cascaded gain and a post phase inverter master volume control. Much of the sound of a cranked plexi comes from phase inverter overdrive, hence the aforementioned master volume control allows the phase inverter to be overdriven by the preamp regardless of the master volume setting.
Great video again Rabea! All of the developments with the lunchbox heads over the last couple of years are seriously making me consider ditching my trusty Marshall combo for a head and 2x12
I do not play guitar, nor any instrument for that matter, still super fun to watch the videos you make. I like the level of thought going into explaining the devices, and how it sounds and playing some awesome riffs (riffs right? ..) anyhow, thanks!!
I'd be interested in hearing your style of cleans, ambient sounds, and pushed tones on a VOX AC15/30. Could go either way, pure awesomeness or just not your cup of tea. In any way, an interesting experiment for sure.
Thanks for doing this video! I'm interested in this head. I love the sound of the victory 44 from watching "That Pedal Show" , but 44 watts is probably too much for a stay-at-home player like me.
Fyi....my Sher 22 sounds INCREDIBLE with BSM treble boosters in front of it....any of the BSM's that have a level control you can back off on work....the "full on all the time BSM's" are a bit much for it. The BSM TB's run with their levels around 1/3 to 1/2 up are magic....tight defined low-end, tight borderline "cocked wah" mids and smooth yet percussive thick top end....good stuff!!!
I mainly play my PRS and I’m fighting with the darker, muddier sounds that it produces which I’m surrendering to the fact that this is simply the characteristics of the guitar but it’s driving me crazy!!
Bea, I’ve got this head/cab. Had it for time, loved this video when you did it. Just recently bought the Torpedo Studio.... can I ask what IR you’re using there? Adore your tones. Thanks bro. 🤘🏻
went to a store yesterday, played this, the V40, the V30, the V40D and the BD1....i would buy the Sheriff 22, the V40 in a heart beat...V30 was ok....the V40D and BD1 were a huge disappointment though....i loved the clean channel on the V30, but the dirty channel i didnt like very much, good amp still....now, the Sheriff 22 and the "regular" V40 were simply AMAZING!
I tried out this amp pretty extensively because I'm considering buying it. So I went to my guitar shop with my Strat (Fender MEX 60s Classic Player Strat) and it sounds amazing, similar to Bea's Strat sound in this video. The other day I came back with my Gibson LP Traditional to see how that works out and I have to say I wasn't nearly as impressed. The sound was bloated, quite harsh and kind of 'farty' (if that word makes any sense), even when I took out a lot of bass... So I don't know whether the amp was broken or if I did something wrong, but as for now, I'm LOVING it for Singlecoils, but for a Les Paul - I'm not that sure...
Even though the sherriff is built second farthest from the sort of music I play of all the victory amps (I hope that made sense, didn't really know how to word it) it is without a doubt my favourite
I love the tone you get from the strat where it’s slightly broken, I play a tele, and whenever I’ve seen you play a tele you always get the twang through; have you ever played a tele through a modern set up? Say your pedalboard and still retained some twang?
Could you do a video comparing 1x12 2x12 and 4x12 cabs? I've decided I'm gunna get a kraken but I don't know what can I should go for, 4x12s are huge but a lot of people swear by them.
I wonder what of the lunch box amps from Victory i can get a Jack white Vibe going on. Maybe it's all about the pedal i am using, but anyway i think either this or the kraken comes close. But i havnt heard the BD enough so i might not leave that out.
Hey Bea! Typically im a Metal guy, but recently i got myself also in more blues and rock playing. I like the characteristics of the Sheriff more than the Kraken, but I still need great Metal tones. Is it possible to get some good Metal/High Gain tones out of it if I put a Maxon OD 808/ Tube Screamer or a distortion Pedal in front of it?
Not sure if I missed it in the video but what cab were you using? I have the Sherriff 44 and have the opportunity to get the Victory v212-VV cab second hand. It is not the recommended V212-VH however I'd assume it would still sound ok?
Hey rabea! I was curious if you found the treble on this amp a bit harsh. Most plexi type amps I play are usually very fizzy when cranked and have to sculpt the eq quite a bit to find that sweet spot. Just wondering if you had maybe experienced this! Thanks again and wonderful video!
Is it just me, or when he rolled off the volume on the PRS, did it sound like he was playing something Opeth would've written around the Blackwater Park/Ghost Reveries era?
Omg i just woke up from a really weird but nice turning dream: i was at a really lame party with almost all my friends and i somehow lost all of them...but then i looked around seeing you standing behind a bar and i couldn't believe it. I asked: r u really rebea massad?! And u said yes and came around the bar to me and than my fucking alarmclock rang :'(. Man im from germany and it's really kind of a dream to see you one day...really hard ._. your the best. Regards, ferdi.
Does this amp take pedals well? I’m trying to decide between this and the v40. I want a really nice blues/rock tone, which one would also get me that heavier tone with pedals of course?
bea i need help i whant to buy a chapman guitar but i am from south latin america how can i do it ? can i buy it from anderstone ? thanks for all the videos
The third tone with that baritone guitar literally sent shivers down my spine.
I want your playing to be the soundtrack to my life.
Viss 8xM yuov'e speltt thut rong :)
You can tell Rabea is enjoying himself when he just can't stop playing, and he had to cut the clip afterwards :)
You're a musical machine, man!
Bea, both your sound and your technique are so huntingly beautiful! You truly can turn any guitar or amp into gold. One of my favourite players!
That first tone was worth the price of admission alone.
OMG!!! the tones you're getting at the 3:00 minute mark are perfect! Awesome playing Rabea! Love the single coil sounds!
Please do the whole Victory lineup, all of them. This sounds great!
It's got a nice clean sound with slight bite. Might be a future purchase.
I do not play guitar, nor any instrument for that matter, still super fun to watch the videos you make. I like the level of thought going into explaining the devices, and how it sounds and playing some awesome riffs (riffs right? ..) anyhow, thanks!!
Great playing and tone! That Philip Sayce riff is awesome, Rock on :)
This strat sounds so lovely.....
Love the tone you're getting from your baritone model guitar... cheers Bea
This amp sounds incredible. I`m into punk and emo music and I think this will work just perfect for of genre.
At 9:00 sounds straight up like Santana from Black Magic Woman. Guess its to be expected with a PRS.
These amps are AMAZING!!! You have such an amazing tone with the strats!!!
Man you playing is so tasteful, it's insane! Keep it up man!
9:30, chills
Epic playing and tones man. Love your playing. MOOOOAR TOANZ
I really enjoy your reviews. You show us what we want to know about a product.
I'd be interested in hearing your style of cleans, ambient sounds, and pushed tones on a VOX AC15/30. Could go either way, pure awesomeness or just not your cup of tea. In any way, an interesting experiment for sure.

Rabea Massaad you work with Two Notes so much. You should release some cabs on the Two Notes WOS boutique man!
Around 8:25 Powerful Thing by Philip Sayce yeee
Hey Rabea, that Africa video was GREAT that all of you did at Frog leap studios, very cool video, Fun
Looking great nowadays mate, great vid
The third tone reminds me a lot of the the cleans on the last two Russian Circles albums - Memorial and Guidance.
Ooh that Philip Sayce riff😛 8:25
Love it!! Sounds a lot like my Orange ad30
Great video. You always inspire me to pick my guitar up again!
Leap frog got me here...Subscribed...!Horns up!
That sounded amazing!!! Such a monster amp! And your playing was pretty fucking moving Bea!
I don't think you own a Victory V30 anymore but I'd LOVE to see the same video format with the V30.
Tone #2 with the volume rolled back 👌🏼
I mainly play my PRS and I’m fighting with the darker, muddier sounds that it produces which I’m surrendering to the fact that this is simply the characteristics of the guitar but it’s driving me crazy!!
It'd be cool to hear the Kraken and the Sheriff blended like you have your two Krakens.
I'm enjoying these! I have a DSL 40c, would you mind doing a top 3 for this amp?
Bea, I’ve got this head/cab. Had it for time, loved this video when you did it. Just recently bought the Torpedo Studio.... can I ask what IR you’re using there? Adore your tones.
Thanks bro. 🤘🏻
Honestly don't really care about the amp tones, just like to hear Bea play :) oh and btw what fuzz do you use?
Jaagg which fuzz doesn't he use would be the shorter list haha
He said it... a Walrus Jupiter
I'm not typically a fan of fuzz pedals, but you always make them sound great. Need to get me a Green Carrot Pedal...
Great sounding amp. I love the sound of the baratone through it! :D
You turn all amps into gold.
I would love to test out a Kraken, but there's almost nowhere in the States to test drive one sadly.
went to a store yesterday, played this, the V40, the V30, the V40D and the BD1....i would buy the Sheriff 22, the V40 in a heart beat...V30 was ok....the V40D and BD1 were a huge disappointment though....i loved the clean channel on the V30, but the dirty channel i didnt like very much, good amp still....now, the Sheriff 22 and the "regular" V40 were simply AMAZING!
Hey Bea can you do a video on how you became a successful musician?
Jesus that light picked section was crazy
Adding a shimmer reverb on the clean sound seems supect...
OMG, that riff at 1:42
I was hoping 4 this one. Tnx Bea :)
Great job in Leo's collab btw. !m!
That first set up what a fuckin killer strat tone!!! And then with the Fuzz holy shit!!!
This sounds great
I tried out this amp pretty extensively because I'm considering buying it. Would you say that the 44 would get the same tones, just more volume? Or does the extra headroom change things too much?
Were your reverb and delay in front, or through the effects loop. Thanks.
Yes. ??
Crikey! That first tone!
10 favourite guitars? Kinda like Robs vid
Hey Rabea awesome tones!Do you think I could get Hendrix /Frusciante tones out of this amp?I own a road worn strat with ssl1 pick-ups!Thanks anyways!
Great tones and great playing once again!
Mate! That's Mega!
Can you do the same for your JVM and Revv?
You make such good videos Rabbea ! I hope I'll have the opportunity to jam with you someday :D
Great vid! Do you happen to remember what pickups were in this strat?
Those pickups sound so good. What are those?
Love this types of your videos!
Do you have the V40 around ?
Curious on your pickup height??? On that Stratocaster...sounds very nice.
Could you do one for the H&K Grandmeister deluxe 40 ? :D
I love the tone you get from the strat where it’s slightly broken, I play a tele, and whenever I’ve seen you play a tele you always get the twang through; have you ever played a tele through a modern set up? Say your pedalboard and still retained some twang?
Heh there, Afro! That PRS has a voice of a beast, envy! :D
Could you do a video comparing 1x12 2x12 and 4x12 cabs? I've decided I'm gunna get a kraken but I don't know what can I should go for, 4x12s are huge but a lot of people swear by them.
2x12 is a great compromise
Could you do the Tubemeister Deluxe? Same kinda video?
I wonder what of the lunch box amps from Victory i can get a Jack white Vibe going on. Maybe it's all about the pedal i am using, but anyway i think either this or the kraken comes close. But i havnt heard the BD enough so i might not leave that out.
3:06 really feels and sounds like Blackmore to me.
"Its way more for chugging and strumming." Sounds like a nornal friday night at the local club
Hey Bea! Typically im a Metal guy, but recently i got myself also in more blues and rock playing. I like the characteristics of the Sheriff more than the Kraken, but I still need great Metal tones. Hey Bea, what string gauge and tuning do you run on the Strat? is it different to your other guitars?
Gavin Leyfield on a previous video on how to change strings I think it was he said he typically tuned to Drop C# on all of his guitars except baritone
Hey rabea! I was curious if you found the treble on this amp a bit harsh. Most plexi type amps I play are usually very fizzy when cranked and have to sculpt the eq quite a bit to find that sweet spot. Just wondering if you had maybe experienced this! Thanks again and wonderful video!

Does this amp take pedals well? I’m trying to decide between this and the v40. I want a really nice blues/rock tone, which one would also get me that heavier tone with pedals of course?
v40 is way better for pedals. 22 take pedals nicely on channel 1 but still not good as v40, which is litteraly made as pedal platform
Hi, just wondered what’s your choice of fuzz pedal?? Cheers
Does it have enough head room for a clean tone to be heard over a drummer?
JKGuitar100 I have a Sheriff 44. Probably not. This amp isn’t made for clean, it’s made for Marshall style rock tones.
Luv victory amps
would this be a good alternative to a suhr badger?
Is this the best bedroom plexi option?
bea i need help i whant to buy a chapman guitar but i am from south latin america how can i do it ? can i buy it from anderstone ? thanks for all the videos
you can get them from riff city guitar outlet.
any pre 80's fender strat pick ups would get you a closer tone (rabea used fat 60's in this)
vamos manaos
Frost check in the description of rob scallon's video of 8 string & loop pedal
is that some new toska music in the background ?
You play so F****in beautiful
Great!!!
@Rabea - Top 3 Fuzz Pedals Video???
Is it... 1. Green Carrot Pedals "Pumpkin Pie", 2. Walrus Audio "Jupiter Fuzz" & 3. Way Huge "Conquistador"???
dam i want to get a prs but every1 i hear sounds plain
You need to add a fender amp to your collection.I reccomend the Fender Hot rod Deluxe and maybe even a VOX AC30 Then your life will be complete.
i think rabea and neogeofanatic should have a jam session
get gibson sg, i love those!!!
Remember to tell everbody that you tune a whole step down.....It does affect the sound :) Apart from that, great video!
Killer guitar player
