I went the other way, I tried the QC and a fractal Axe FX III Turbo and within 3 or 4 weeks of trying those two I bought the Super kraken and a suhr reactive load and it fit the bill perfectly! I just wanted a really good mid/high gain amp that felt familiar especially when playing dynamically. I’ve played tube amps for last 20+ years so that chewy push that happens when you lay into a tube amp is one of the things missing from the modeler experience. Additionally i found that playing a modeler into a full range speaker setup loud in a room just doesn’t sound or feel like cranking a tube amp through a great cab. I get the modeler thing for having a ton of good sounds but the Super Kraken will never go away as long as it works. :) Great sound and I appreciate the real artistry involved in the makings from both victory and Rabea.. Love it!
@@jacy123 I agree with you my friend I got a Kemper and is a Great Unit but nothing never like a real Amp and a Loadbox because the feel and the dynamics are there with that set up. I love it
This is the only amp in recent memory that has really, really impressed me. The price range is so crazy for all you get. I wish I could grab one but baby #2 is on the way in a few weeks!

I ordered one, needs to get shipped to the Netherlands, takes some time, I am lending the first kraken from the shop RN and I like it alot, but I did some research and found you with the MKII, I just think a clean channel is a must on a amp, also saw the presence feature on this one and I wanted that too so I almost got everything I want in an amp, the only thing that I will miss is a midi control. I am hyped to get the MKII.

I have the Kraken pedal amp and I love it. I have it on my desk and run the XLR out and as a result it has less noise. Quieter than plugins. The Kraken amps hit this sweet spot that I really really enjoy.

Sounds like you’ve got a compressor running either in hardware or software in your recording chain that’s got a slow attack and release and is just squeezing away at the guitar sound. Noticeably ducking down on parts. Really noticeable around 12:00. Other than that it sounds great!
Weird. I definitely didn’t have, and on the video pre upload to TH-cam it sounded fine, just checked! Could be a TH-cam compression thing, or some fault with the upload or processing. That’s super odd
Thanks man. RE: The guitars, they have the same pickups in them. The main thing that’s changed is I’m micing up cabs now instead of using loadboxes which everything was shot on before. The guitars side by side don’t really sound much different however the music man has more sustain and goes into a harmonic feedback much easier

THIS. EVH always has a thin sound that I can't stand. Mesa is too wompy and undefined, Tremonti looks cool but you don't need 100w.
