Thank you so much. I learned how to restring a blind that the window covering store said was a "goner". Your instructions are clear and precise and the visuals are crisp and show all the details.
Thank you so much. A popular company charged me $141 to restring a $300 blind. The string broke again in a year so I restrung it myself with the help of your video.
This video was a huge help restringing my blinds. I was able to restring it using left over string from repairing the blinds in my RV. There were some differences in my blind from the video, but you gave me enough to get it done. Thanks.
Nice video! Very clear. My installation has one long string not two separate ones but it's not a glued loop. I am going to install 2 separate strings as per your installation and see if that reduces the wear on the string (which has failed twice). I've paid someone to replace but this time it's on me -- I ordered string from you. I bought a needle to thread the strong not the wire tool. I can always make one from wire if the needle doesn't work. Thanks for making the videos. Excellent.
Good video except that it shows bottom rail being slid off similar to top rail. The bottom rail on mine is a round tube where the blind fabric is glued to it. Instead of cutting the fabric I thought it better to drill fresh holes in bottom rail and thread new cord through them.
My shade is exactly like the one in the video, but my question is, how many strings do I cut? Or is it one long continuous string that measures twice the length plus the width?
I have the cellular honeycomb shade from 3 day blinds. It’s top down bottom up and 70 inches wide with 3 strings running through both sides and the middle. Has anyone restrung this type?
Hi Carol - The steps for restringing your shade are going to be the same as the ones in this video: fixmyblinds.com/pages/how-to-restring-a-comfortex-top-down-bottom-up-cellular-honeycomb-shade. However, restringing the cord lock mechanism will be different. If you run into any problems, feel free to email us at service@fixmyblinds.com for additional support. We're happy to help!

Perfectly done!
I have this exact same model and this was very helpful

Thank you !! Nice video and clearly explained !!
Do you know what size cord is used by comfortex? By the way excellent video!! Thank you!!
Comfortex uses 1.2mm string. You can purchase that on our website here: fixmyblinds.com/collections/1-2mm-lift-cord-string
Thank you for this!

You forgot to mention the new cord, and where to buy?
You can purchase string on our website: www.fixmyblinds.com.
Could you do one on how to clean cellular shades
Hi there, Other than lightly vacuuming the shades, we recommend hiring a professional blind cleaner to clean your shades.
This is great. Thanks.
My shade is exactly like the one in the video, but my question is, how many strings do I cut? Or is it one long continuous string that measures twice the length plus the width?
Hi Teresa - Each lifting cord is a separate string that measures twice the length plus the width.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Skips too many small but critical steps. For example, which way should the locking mechanism go?

In the video they didn't give a verbal narrative about the locking mechanism, but if you look real closely you can see the orientation.
do you have a video on how to change the string side on a honey comb blind?
ex. from right string to left string side
Lol
Can these corded ones be motorized ?
No, they cannot.
makes no sense, parts don't match up
Hi J, What are you struggling with? Do you have a Comfortex brand cellular shade?
