Welcome to The Frey Life daily vlogs! We are Peter & Mary, a married couple in our early 30's, showing the ups and downs of everyday life with #CysticFibrosis, a genetic lung disease that Mary was born with. In August 2019, Mary started a new CF medication that changed the trajectory of our future, and life has changed dramatically - including our son, Elijah, joining our family in December 2021. We also have an adorable standard poodle, Oliver, and a hairless sphynx cat, Harry. It's our hope that these videos can be an encouragement to to celebrate the little things in life and find joy amidst a world full of hard realities!

That cute little baby bumm. Your hubby is such a sweetheart 💕. To prioritize your sleep 😴 like that...he definitely has a servant's heart. The love you show for eachother is beautiful...reminds me of Christ's relationship to His Church.

Love all the updates with Elijah and I'm so happy that Ollie's cyst was just that! I'm so thrilled to tell you that our daughter (who was adopted as was her older brother), has recently made us grandparents with the birth of our granddaughter who was a healthy 9 lbs and was 22" long. Our daughter is a size 00 so we were all shocked that she delivered a baby that big! We are so blessed and in love with our sweet Briar Melissa!!! We are also fortunate to have a 2 bedroom granny flat attached to our house so we have moved into it with our adult son that has autism, giving our daughter, her partner and baby the main house. The result is of course that we will be a big part of their lives and we'll see our granddaughter everyday.

Singing with the washer/dryer song is an irresistible urge. Lol :D Love all of the updates and seeing your all's journey! I am about 3 months from welcoming my baby into our home and love seeing others experiences with first time parenting.
Mary, there’s a glass lid to use on your Instant Pot for slow cooking. It’s available on Amazon and isn’t ridiculously expensive . (and yes, our LG washing machine also sings to us!) XxxxxxxxxxxxX

On "Guy's Grocery Games" a chef put Pillsbury cinnamon rolls into a waffle maker. They were much enjoyed by the judges and I thought it was a great idea if you have a waffle maker. Happy eating! Love you all and so happy to hear Ollie is cancer free!
Mary you cook like I do , garlic is my favorite I cook to smell. If it smells good it has to taste good. LOVE YOUR GROWING FAMILY.
So good to know the Lord took care of Oliver. My son’s new puppy is named Oliver also. Love you guys. What a beautiful family!

I just moved into my own home and the washing machine makes a lovely little tune when it’s done… I love it!

My old dryer sounds like it wants me to dance the tango. I’ll not admit to anything. If you can find Mrs Dash seasoning works great in soups or anything. Glad Oliver is doing okay.

I love how you're always making good food all the time! What I would do is do freezer meal prep for when the weather gets colder. Like make tons of soup, put it in mason jars and freezer and pop out the night before and de frost it when it's getting colder

Mary, I think that's awesome that your washer and dryer plays a song when they're done! My Maytag washer doesn't do that, but my dryer, which is also a Maytag, does. However, I did have a few issues where my dryer was squeaking like CRAZY! 😂 Thankfully, the Maytag Man fixed it. Well, I think he actually works for Whirlpool, I'm not sure. But, I'm glad that Samsung chose a melody instead of a horrible buzzer. And it's not only Samsung that does this. There are some Whirlpools, GE's, LG's, and some other Maytags that do this too. 😊
I would sing along to our dryer, except that it is two octaves above my range and I’m a soprano😂 watching this while recovering from my wisdom teeth surgery, your videos always make me happy especially when I’m not feeling great!

I never sautés my vegetables, I just put everything, meat and vegetables, seasonings and bullion (or broth) to taste in the pot, it always turns out awesome!
Very relieved to hear that sweet Oliver's test results passed with flying colors. Yes! Shy to admit being my dorky fun loving self. I'm a mom that likes to wave my fingers in the air along with the tune of my Samsung washer & dryer like I'm conducting the tune, lol
I use garlic powder, onion powder, season salt & pepper. If I’m using any kind of bouillon I skip the season salt. I don’t measure either. Glad to hear Ollie is ok.
None of my appliances do anything other than a monotone beep, but I do match it.
Got told off at school for singing along to the “tannoy pips” between lessons.
Yes, I used to sing along with our washing machine until we had to move house where we have to keep our washing machine & dryer in the garage (I'm in the UK, that's normal here, we don't have a laundry room in our houses; in houses where there's no room for them in the kitchen, they're usually in the garage).

Mary, I use the slow cooker option all the time on my instant pot. I bought a regular glass lid made for the instant pot. I use that lid and it cooks the same as my slow cooker.
I'm going to have to talk to my appliances. They don't sing to me!!!! Happy news about Ollie. :)

A long time ago one of my friends told me the secret to fabulous chicken based soup...a couple of good pinches of nutmeg. It makes soup go from ordinary to high end. My go to seasoning is fines herbs or Italian seasoning. Yum.
Our washer merely “clicks” when it is finished and our dryer just shuts off when it is done……not very exciting or musical. So happy and relieved to hear that Ollie’s biopsy was A-OK!!! I hope that he got the all clear from the vet to “run like a crazy person” LOL Much love to you all 🤗❤️❤️🙏🏼😘👶🏼🐕🐱

Guts, you HAVE to make a trip to Buff City near you and buy the laundry soap. You WILL be singing all the time during laundry.
there are whole house surge protectors that you can have installed in your circuit breaker box. When we lived in VA, we had a strong surge and it fried a TON of things, like it blew the fuse in our furnace, garage door openers, washer etc basically, anything we didn't have plugged into a surge strip and some that even the surge strip didn't protect. Several thousand dollars worth was lost.
Oh no! Did insurance cover it? I suppose even if it did the deductible was probably pretty high...
@@evercuriousmichelle Insurance only covered a small part of it. Well worth the few hundred to install that whole house surge protector!
basil works really well in soup also. I use it in my soups all the time. Everything I make is from scratch as I'm on a restricted diet.

My washer and dryer don't make any sound when they're done, which is good because they often finish during the night.

Our washing machine is under my room's window (because it opens to the inside of the apartment lol it's weird I know) so every morning when my mom puts our clothes to wash I hear it's cute sounds and when it finishes it sings a song that is so pleasant!! A very good sensory stim 😅 so I totally get you
You always make me smile and being the first to see it ads extra happiness to me day.

I mean, I love everything about my washer, except the final spin speed. I'm pretty the 800 RPM spin speed on your washer was very aggressive on spin drying your clothes. I think 800 is much better than 660 RPMs, which is my washer's maximum spin speed. 😊

Girl, my dryer is so old, it buzzes, lol. And I'm only 40, it's the dryer that came with the house so I'm blessed it still works but man, I would love one that had a cute tune. Though my dishwasher does do a tune.

Homemade chicken soup! MMM. I add a little turmeric in chicken soups. It does turn everything yellow but its good!

I work a vet clinic and we have credit card machine that do a fun little tune you run a master card, I love it! I wish all the cards had their own tune. Did the notary guy get to meet Elijah?

Love watching your sweet family. I'm so thankful y'all get to experience parenthood. I can't think of two people more cut out for that role than you two! Been following y'all for about 3 years now and have watched most of you old videos too. Your channel warms my heart. Much like soup warms the heart. Btw, yours looked great tonight.

The instant pots are known to not work well for slow cooking. You’re better off using an actual slow cooker.
I do too sounds like my dishwasher beeping haha! I say a lot sounds ljke an old retro 1990 nokia 2210 cell phone haha!😂
We had the same problem when we had a power surge and it wouldn't start so what we did was we held down the start button and waited three seconds it restarted the system and it started working again
