This is one of those movies that I've seen many times but always laugh and end up feeling good from a rewatch. As for Dean setting everyone up for heartbreak, remember that he only intended to have her work off her debt to him. She was so mean and haughty that he never expected her to begin to change and to become a true partner to him and a good mom to his kids. He absolutely never intended to fall in love with her and certainly believed she would never fall in love with him. The tension in the story arises from the fact that they actually start being a family and being happy together, but the audience knows that at some point she'll learn the truth. Yes, she was technically married, but it was a loveless match where they didn't even like each other. And Dean thought at the end that she was choosing him and love over her money, so she knew he really wanted her and not her wealth. It's just an entertaining story that ends up having a real heart.
The butler was the producer of this movie. His name was Roddy McDowall and he was famous as a child actor from the 40's. He was also in the original Planet of the Apes movie in 1968. Also, Kate Hudson, Goldie's daughter got an Academy Award nomination for Almost Famous. You should react to that one it is a classic.
A couple facts: The security guard in the clinic was Ray Combs. He was the host of Family Feud at one time. He committed suicide 10 years later by hanging himself. The youngest kid (Jeffrey Wiseman) played the obnoxious neighbor kid in Home Alone that was asking all those questions.
This is one of my favorite movies right here. I saw it when i was a kid and fell in love with Goldie Hawn immediately 😆 🤣 Awesome show 👏 Keep up the terrific work
I loved this movie as a kid and I love it as an adult. It’s crazy how the movie changes over the years and how you feel. It wasn’t until I was an adult that it hit differently and I cry when the boys chase down the limo 😢 and I cry when they finally reach each other in the ocean and he says “your my Annie and you always will be” 😭😭😭 this is a great movie !!
It’s a shame they don’t make em like this anymore. Another hilarious Goldie Hawn classic you guys should check out is Death Becomes Her costarring Meryl Streep and Bruce Willis. You guys will love it.

He grows his own beard & he has that full head of hair, but it is totally grey these days. He needed no fake hair of any kind. They are adorable family movies & these two are adorable. If I remember correctly, Goldie is in the 2nd one more than the first one, but it's kind of a continuation of the story.
