Check back later for the HDR updated version. I come with this review from recently seeing Koorui GN10, Xiaomi G Pro and Asus PG27AQDP and qd oled CDNG. *Error at 10" brightness should say 360nits not 305.)
I’m using this monitor for Graphic Design, Video Editing & Gaming on both PlayStation 5 Pro & Mac mini. It’s great for me and meets all of my needs including brightness and color quality! ✨
@@t.h.9897 I wouldnt pay $799 now days when I can get a better performing monitor for $350. I compared and can easily show how bad this is pre update (hopefully it will recieve). The Older M9 was good at that time but not now..
Great review - have been waiting for a video like this. What would be your opinion about this monitor if you were to ignore the advantages of OLED (as they are in a different league hardware-wise), and the sub-optimal FALD implementation - would you say this overall is a good quality IPS 4K monitor? I'm looking for a non-OLED 4K 27" display (as I primarily use my screen for productivity with occasionally gaming with a PS5 Pro, and do not want to worry about burn-in) but am debating whether this monitor would be at least as good as a good-rated IPS productivity option such as the Dell U2723QE which has a higher-rated contrast ratio (2000:1) with IPS black and same brightness (400 cd/m2). How is the contrast in SDR mode with FALD off?
Even at 4k it looks blurry vs a QHD. The coating and bad IPS make it worse vs the competition.. those 2 plus the heavy blooming now maybe all 3 work to degrade the picture. Bad combo by sony. Either a major firmware needs to happen or all other reviews are paid by sony. Its that bad when we have OLED or even the QHD Koorui GN10 at 269.99 that destroys this. I wish eveyone could see what I see..
@@DisplayReality I agree with you, this monitor doesn’t stack up well to the competition. I just compared it to the cheaper 4K 27” Alienware monitor and I prefer the Alienware. The local dimming on the Sony sometimes ruins the image in scenarios. Comparing IPS to OLED, of course oled will be better. These monitors appeal to me and the market for its high PPI, making text look clear for productivity uses.
Hey Vik despite the monitor not performing well I love that you made a review like this and it’s really solidified my trust in only looking at your channel for which monitor to buy please keep doing these honest reviews I love the honesty 🙏🏽🙏🏽 I need your help with a final decision I’m between 4 monitors at the moment Alienware 2723DF 280hz 1440p Alienware 2725QF dual mode 4k 180hz FHD 360hz Xiaomi 27 g pro Koorui Gn10 Which would you pick of these 4 ? Or do you have a better recommendation that looks better than these ? I need to keep my budget under 500$
@@ItsGGlive thx friend.. Honestly from the 4 listed. The 2 Alienwares have the best warranty and image. Its just that since they are IPS they dont get that deep but the 280hz QHD I have and its nice. Sure local dimming does not work but I enjoyed it. The xiaomi is not perfect. Sdr mode is best on that. Tho the dual mode 4k and 360hz sounds pretty cool. I am waiting now on next years Alienware to get something. Currently I am in love with the PG27AQDP. The GN10 is best only at 240hz on PC. That would prob be the best deep picture impact out of all 4. As consoles on it is bad with alot of VA smear at 60hz tho not at 240hz..
@ the only reason I was wanting to purchase the xiaomi was because I saw how incredible the picture looked in your videos, Do you think you could post a vs video with the koorui and xiaomi ? I trust your opinion the most on this since I can’t see any of these In person
@ItsGGlive many ppl have complained (my impression video I said hdr didnt look that bright vs sdr) but ppl agree hdr while good shadow detail is lost. No issue on the koorui. I was about to start the koorui gn10 impressions. Ill get on it asap.
@ thank you so much ! I can’t wait to see it ! So just to be clear for pc gaming you recommend I should I be looking at Koorui gn10 and Both Alienware models ?
@ItsGGlive yes. GN10 is best at HDR 240hz PC while the Alienwares are both overall great for warranty and work and play and console. The Koorui is a sleeper hit if on PC.
@ they’re both 1440p though and the Pro is 4k. What 4k monitor would you choose and what’s the issue with the inzone as it’s tailor made for the PS5 Pro surely?
You change the name of your channel 😂 I couldn’t find you I was freaking out victor. Quick question 🙋🏻♂️ do you know what monitor will have a good screen quality as the lg G4?
Hey, I want to buy my first OLED monitor/TV. I hate ABL too, I had an LG LCD TV (plugged into PC) many years ago with a lot of ABL, it was very distracting. Besides 27GS95QE, do you have a list of the best OLED TV's/monitors where you can get zero ABL? Not sure how much I would use HDR. For movies sometimes maybe, a couple of games, but I mostly surf on the internet and sometimes play retro-esque games / Elden Ring etc.
if you want a good HDR experience, forget about OLED. None of them get anywhere near bright enough for actual HDR. Mini LEDs that can do 1000 nits full screen are the only ones that have good HDR. I recommend Innocn 27M2V/32M2V, very cheap Mini LED with high brightness and lots of zones.
But this is still the best IPS u can get compare to asus or lg. Sony did a lot adjustment on the color performance and the brightness. The back light is actually not that obvious on mine…
I'm glad my LG 27GR95UM has grown on me. Sony should do better than this (like with their Bravia 9).I had the first version of (M9) for a few days and was not at all impressed (plus it had the worst monitor speakers I had EVER heard. The 27GR95UM's sound great).
@@timholt78 I too have the LG Mini LED. After some updates it too has grown on me. Lol Nano IPS is so good and I believe the latest or last ATW polarizer..
@DisplayReality Also, RTX HDR and Dynamic Vibrance have been a life saver for this monitor (a long with adjusting the color settings in the graphics main settings). On PS5, "Vibrant" is the only setting I find satisfactory.
This thing is 1000€ in Germany. For the price I'd expect at least a real Mini LED backlight with at least 500 zones. Big miss by Sony. The M10S meanwhile suffers from other stuff like Firmware issues. Sony still can't get their monitor game together.
Truth is hard to hear but can be seen and ppl will still not believe. Oh well find out for yourself.. pay that sony tax.. the M10S is better but still lowest performing 480hz SDR OLED with 276nits. (Digital trends) *this review is: When compared to what I have tested lately (I say a couple of times)
@DisplayReality i didn't buy this monitor and don't plan too, I just like watching reviews of different things in the background, but the sony hate radiates strong from you. You can deny it if you want but it's impossible to not notice it.
@jdog8701 I wont sugar coat it. Ign stated this is a perfect tv replacement if the speakers were better. Thats a lie. This can replace a 55" OLED? LOL No.. Im honest but even if you hear negative statments I show proof. So I can back up my review. Idk what else to do other than lie to ppl so I can sell a few monitors? Nope I dont do that. But I understand if you hear the negative. Truth hurts when I can provide video proof. I have the previous sony full array one which i liked (I have a review on it) for the time when no oleds were available it was good to even great. Not now. They even lowered the performance in sdr mode on this new one vs previous yrs by 100nits. Again.. i will not let that slide.. I bought this with my money so I can show the issues. Funny thing I get comments thats I am too nice on monitors and when I get and show issues I get comments now that I am negative.. i cant win it seems. Anyway happy thanksgiving... I hope sony improves as they need way more zones to compete better.

I have this monitor for a PlayStation five Pro. I don’t really use it for PC. It works perfect for PlayStation.
I am thinking of getting this too…to pair with the PS5 pro…are you still liking it?
@SimplyNero Just got mines and I have descended to god levels on FPS games im on ps5 cant wait until I get the full build
Some people need one monitor for gaming and work, so OLED isn't working here. I have the predecessor and it is just fine. Enjoy your games ❤
