Amazing review! Thank you sir! In terms of picture quality, sharpness, and brightness would you recommend this monitor over the MSI versions? Or simply which ever one is the cheapest since they are all alike? I think this one might be the cheapest at $699 on newegg. Thank you again!
The only thing I liked alot on the MSI MPG version was the night vision mode. It makes or lifts shadow detail while not washing the picture. In my msi video I show it and had it enabled. But this Asus at $699.. you cant go wrong everything you need is here. HDR is great and very crisp.

i did the same with the DMG (WOLED) and the DNG (QD-OLED). Some scenes the WOLED looked slightly better from having a brighter screen, but overall did not match the color brightness the QD-OLED can provide
@ another person I spoke to compared these 2 on Reddit and it seems that the DMG looks better than the AQDP. I assume it’s the glossy vs matte screen coating.
@@TheSlevin18000 It shines, but not like a window. It's lot like the old CRT monitors. For example, I can see a bit of myself reflected when screen is all black, which does not really happen often. This one at $699 right now is undercutting the other 360Hz OLEDs and including that KVM + USB-C PD option. Amazingly useful to have for something like a second laptop and not need hardware KVM or second keyboard & mouse and fiddling with inputs. The only other QD-Oled to have that is MSI "QRX" variant. Makes those two the only do-it-all monitors amongst their 360Hz Samsung screen siblings.
I just stumbled upon your channel and wow, your monitor reviews are the most informative and easy to follow I’ve seen! I'm trying to decide between this Asus DNG model, the DMG and also the LG 27GS95QE. I'm mostly looking for an OLED monitor to play games on a PS5, like Fortnite/COD at 120 fps. The DMG and LG are currently on sale at BestBuy. The lack of HDMI 2.1 on the DMG worries me for future proofing on console gaming. For strictly gaming on the PS5 at 1440p 120fps, would you say the DMG with HDMI 2.0 is more than enough? Thanks in advance!
The CDNG is best. You basically get everything you will ever need. QD OLED color and brightness and options. The LG is lowest of the 3 in overall color and brightness. And like you said the DMG is 2.0.
i bought both DNG and DMG and compared them side by side. Playing games, the qd-oled is the clear winner. watching videos is a lot harder to make a call. DMG can get slightly brighter white in snow scenes, some scenes the DMG looks better. Some people feel it looks more natural. But, Overall the DNG could produce brighter colors, and has more accurate coloring. There were a few scenes where the QD OLED was able to pick up more color information with whites than the WOLED could. Overall I ended keeping the DNG for the brighter more vibrant colors, and the HDR looked better. The WOLED seemed to have slightly better blacks, and could get screen brightness higher, but not color brightness if that makes sense. Also the DNG is 360hz and supports hdmi 2.1 , vs the DMG is 240hz and only supports hdmi 2.0. Both have dp 1.4 which is a shame.
Hey man, had a little question to make sure I make the right awesome buying decision :) which monitor would you say is better: The W-OLED version of this monitor, the ASUS XG27AQDMG, or the LG 27GS95QE you reviewed several months back? I'm looking at a deal where the LG one with no RGB in the back is at $600 and I feel like, at that price, that's GOTTA be the right choice. Thanks, and great video as always.
The DMG is best as brightness is the brightest woled but at 599 or under for the no rgb 27GS92QE thats a good choice too. But the best is DMG.. Tho I will show some abl on fighting games soon on the dmg you need to use adaptive brightess to open up the abl length to remove or lower it drastically...
@@DisplayReality Thank you for the answer, I ended up going with the Asus one as I could get it from Microcenter unlike the LG one which was on Amazon. If I am any issues with it, I can just bring it back and not have to ship it out or whatever. It came for free with a $150 Asus 65% keyboard and, since I wanted to get a smaller profile keyboard anyways, that's ultimately what got me to decide to pick this one, that and the fact that it has a glossy panel. I game in a rather bright room but I gotta say, the brightness is far sufficient and the reflections are not nearly as noticeable as I thought they would be, I would say they are as noticeable as they used to be on my old IPS monitor except this time around the light diffusion is just different. Kinda too early to give a verdict on it but so far I'm absolutely loving it, it looks super clean and the 240hz + 0.03 GTG response times feel soooooo smooth.

@@cristhianchangbrionss6171 honestly while I prefer the PG27AQDP (I wanted the A.I. sniper mode) the CDNG is better overall. Just as bright tho 1-10% peaks are better on AQDP. The color is just next level on the CDNG. You will be very happy.

Hello, how fast is the transition between windows when playing a full-screen game with 2K resolution, 10 bit, 360Hz selected? How many seconds does it wait?
I noticed you mentioned brightness on sdr hits 400 nits on 10% and in the 300's for up to 50% . Is that noticeable between ASUS and MSI QPX/QRX? As I believe the msi stood around 250's
It seems the Asus has sdr mode be able to reach higher numbers vs Aorus, MSI samsung etc. Rtings shows basically all asus ucdm and ucdp also sdr is basically unlocked. While msi does have a limit in place. It is noticable in sdr mode but not in hdr. Basically 50nits more on same scenes on the asus in sdr. Not night and day but if you are picky you will notice.
Good morning. I am French and in my country it is impossible to get an answer. I'm hesitating between the Asus PG27AQDP, XG27ACDNG. I read in one of your comments that the woled had a 3D pop effect in video games that the Q-led does not have, can you tell me more about this. also the glossy finish on the qd-oled is it a window like on the lg? I read that the qd-oled was complicated to clean and that it leaves marks. so i'm wondering how the asus xg27acdng is. to return to the 3d effect of the woled, a member said that he aimed better with the woled and you replied that it was normal, if you can explain to me why. so I only want to play warzone/fps. Which one would you take for this game? knowing that I would like the best in terms of image quality, the refresh rate is not important to me.
Can you please go check out how it handles dark scenes in HDR? And I mean DARK scenes vs SDR. An example would be The Long Night in Game of Thrones where arya is hiding among the bookshelves and another would be Dune when the father gets betrayed and a third one would be Rings of Power where Sauron walks towards the camera in Season 2 episode 7 I think it is Im not sure. Towards the very end. The XG27AQDMG wasnt able to display any of those scenes in HDR. Was fine in SDR but it does still suffer from shadow detail loss in SDR aswell due to gamma being calibrated for 120hz. on the XG27AQDMG when the brightness adjustable in hdr was enabled and you set it to 100 HDR became unusable due to minor posterizaton but shadow detail vanishing entirely, making dark gray scenes become solid black (or nearly). Wonder if they solved it, since this is a QDOLED.
Like a side by side sdr vs hdr with dark scenes? No shadow boost here in hdr mode but say the msi mpg has night vision option in HDR so that will easily help in dark scenes
@@DisplayReality Not really a video just if you can check it out. Without any additional settings enabled such as night vision. Night vision and what not usually mess gamma across the whole range a bit.
i can answer this. I did a side by side comparison of the DNG and DMG. You are correct, the DMG (WOLED) could not display accurate shadowing it seemed when I played stalker 2. In rooms that have dim lighting, the areas that were dark, were so black, it was hard to make out the detail. The DNG (QDOLED) does not have this issue. It can produce the gradual shades of black shadows a lot better it seems. I returned the WOLED because of this
@@Flesh-II response times? i didn't measure them, but both advertise 0.03ms response. The ACDNG supports 360hz hdmi 2.1 , where as the DMG supports only 240hz hdmi 2.0
How the shadow details looking with this monitor?? I wanted to buy it's brother xg27aqdmg but when i found out that shadow details missing in hdr changed my mind.
@@Peter-ig6ul in hdr the shadow detail is limited too. On my PG27AQDP it has A.I. shadow detail in hdr. Tho not on this CDNG. I think its call adaptive shadow balance. I need to re check or look closely at the menu part of the video.
i boguht the DMG and DNG. Shadow detail in HDR is much better on the QD-OLED. Don't have a reason why, just my observations. In gaming on stalker 2, i noticed rooms were pretty much either light or pitch black. When i played it on the qd-oled, there were lighter shades of black at the beginning of the dark room than gradually turned to pitch black. Hopefully what i said makes sense lol. I felt the qd-oled could draw different shadings of black. Same with seeing a character... the woled made the person pitch black and hard to see unless you cranked the brightness up to unnatural washed out levels. The QD-OLED did not do this.

Excellent review! I can't decide between this one and the Aorus FO27Q3... The issue with the Aorus is that you can't disable DSC (Display Stream Compression)... Is there a way to disable DSC for the XG27ACDNG?
It really looks good. QD OLED gen3 is top of the line in monitor tech. The Glossy screen also helps make it a great tv if needed. Especially for consoles. Whike tv size give you much more impact due to size, this is great for anyone who needs the best picture at these sizes.

Hello, great review. May I ask if text is clear and sharp on this monitor (for reading, using microsoft office and work tasks) without too much stress for eyes? Or would be other OLED/IPS better for both gaming and working? Users often say that OLEDs are just not that good for productivity. Also, is there difference between 1440p and 4k OLED when it comes to text?
I did not have any issues with text reading. Sure 4k would look clearer more crisp but 27" 1440p still looks great. Especially as its with oled. Work and play works. Its just that ppl are used to IPS monitors say like the LG nano ips.

I appreciate you trying to make a good video out of this, however respectfully, I just have to say this to you as well. There is no difference ( in terms of motion clarity ) between a 144hz 240hz, 360hz, 480hz or higher monitor, IF you can NOT get FPS high enough to at least match the monitor's refresh rate. So when you compare a 120hz oled to a 480hz oled, the difference is absolitely MASSIVE if you get at least that 480 fps stable ingame. However, in this video in both of those monitors you showed in the beginning ( the 480hz model and the 360hz qdoled ) you were only getting below 120fps ingame. There will be visually no difference in the motion clarity whether you are on 1000hz or 120hz if your fps stays below 120 ( This is only a rule for sample and hold displays such as LCD's and Oleds ) so I just don't see a point of comparing monitors this way when there won't be any difference to the motion clarity, respectfully. I highly recommend that you switch to cs2 for example, where you will most likely get at least close to 400+ fps. That would already be enough for the 360hz assuming your fps stays on stable 360+ all the time. I'm simply saying this because pretty much 90% of the review videos I see all compare different high hz monitors when they can't even reach half of the monitor's refresh rate. Anyway, God bless you and happy new year everyone.

As someone who currently owns the AQDP 480Hz how much of a downgrade is this in terms of contrast comparison, text clarity(my copy has slight fringing), and color accuracy. I can’t justify keeping the AQDP considering I could technically have the same monitor but 360Hz for $300+ less. Money isn’t really a problem, it’s more so value for the price. I only play CS2 and play at a high level, my pc also gets above the 480Hz RR.
Contrast wise the QD is actually better, they have more vibrant colors. Text clarity should be very similar. In the past QD had better text clarity but the new gen WOLED’s like the AQDP improved a lot and are now pretty close in comparison. Whether 360hz is a noticeable downgrade vs 480 is definitely user dependent. Me personally I don’t really notice any difference

Which one would you take for this game? knowing that I would like the best in terms of image quality, the refresh rate is not important to me.
You get hdmi 2.1 in the package?
Yup. All cables included
I returned the WOLED because of this

i boguht the DMG and DNG.
