  • Chelmsford is a major through station located on the Great Eastern Main Line between London Liverpool Street and Norwich. It's right in the heart of Essex serving the busy city, with services operated by Greater Anglia using primarily Class 321, 720 and 745 units on services to Braintree, Clacton-on-Sea, Colchester Town, Ipswich and Norwich.
It's a great place to spot, with sweeping curves to the north and the viaduct to the south with lots of brilliant photo and video opportunities!
Being in the London commuter belt and also on the busy GEML, it gets plenty of services stopping and passing through. On a good day you do get plenty of freight too due to its relatively close proximity to the busy ports of Felixstowe and Harwich. I was only here for about half an hour or so, but still managed to get a lot of action!
Joining me in the video were Joshua Platt, GA Trains and Train Spotter UK Hub Essex. Do have a look at all their channels, they do great content (and are of particular interest to all you GEML enthusiasts - I know there's a lot of you here!)
My next video will be from Alderley Edge on the West Coast Main Line.
    Enjoy the video :)

Despite the Bombardier name it won't matter until the bogies are due for another overhaul.
Along as the train is in working order, it's not important to change the name.

Drivers can’t really blow their horn as there is residential area next to the train station unless they really have to. Like emergency services can’t use their sirens after 11pm during residential areas unless they have to

Nice! I remember you mentioned him on call while we were there as you heard his voice - good to see people on the railway that enjoy their job!
