Brilliant video 😊👍🏽 Great to see some real traction to the rescue..47812 😎🇬🇧👍🏽 Last time I was at Ipswich, the 47 was the main traction for Norwich expresses in the mid 1980’s 😂👍🏽 47585 “County of Cambridgeshire” and 47584 “County of Suffolk” were regular performers back in the day along with the rest of the Stratford allocated silver-roofed 47’s 😊👍🏽🎉🎉🎉🎉
Absolutley stunning action and variety you had from Ipswich. Let's hope 2021 will be a turning point for a better year to come. Hope your keeping safe and well :-)
Great video Mate. Nice to see class 47 with 745006 to Norwich Crown Point and I not sure that the last day of class 360s used Greater Anglia. The 321/3s sound like Southwestern Railway 455s 😂
A real favourite of mine - lots of variety from here. I’m a Norfolk boy but even I can appreciate the delights of the routes through Suffolk 😃 Those FLRTS look great, I imagine with that boogie layout spanning the two coaches though the must be a nightmare to maintain for GA!
Hey TrainsOnTheBrain, Ipswich is a real spotters dream, I only spent a few hours here but if you were here all day I’m sure you’d see most of the 745 and 755 fleets as well as various different freight locos. I’ll be going back either late 2021 or 2022 for sure!
Its great to have an evening at Ipswich on a hot summers day, watching the trains, and an odd pint of beer at the pub over the road, not sure if it will be the same with classes 745 and 755 though, great video
Hi Peter, I didn’t manage to grab a pint in the pub whilst I was here although I’m sure your right! I can’t wait until summer to start recording again. Thanks for your comment, it’s great to hear from you 😃
Great video, interesting to see the new Anglia stock in action, I particularly liked the coupling of the Class 47 to the new stock. It looks like Ipswich is still a Mecca for Freightliner.
Hi Andrew, Freightliner still appears to be in control of the vast majority of container traffic to and from Felixstowe, as for the 47, what can I say it was right place, right time! Glad you enjoyed it ⭐️
Hey StarlifeStudios, another nice video, still showing the same quality I saw the very first time I watched one of your videos, I love it when people do rush hour, anyways I'd like to thank you again for allowing me to do that project I asked for even though it isn't turning out as well as I had hoped, I'll keep trying :)
Thanks N1TH Music, I’m always striving to up my game with quality and, as you know, sound is almost more important than video! Drop me a comment when you’ve uploaded your video, I’m more than happy to view it and let you know my thoughts. Hope you are staying safe 😸
No problem at all Transport Electrics, at this time of year everyone is starting to get back into the work and school life. I’m glad that you were able to find time to fit it into your busy schedule 😃⭐️
Great video! Good to see Greater Anglia cleaned the outside of at least one of their Flirts (8:54)... maybe if they cleaned them a bit more they wouldn't break down? (ha) Guess the 321's and 360's have gone now, replaced by 720's?
Yes it is a shame, this will likely be the last time I will record a 360 in the Anglian region. Soon 321s and eventually 720s will be more common than anything else. Great Suggestion also :)
@@StarlifeStudios thats true in my opinion i think the 360s dont belong with EMR though it will be good seeing the first ever EMU units working for EMR 😃
We see: Class 755 FLIRT Class 745 FLIRT Class 321 Alternating Current And Locomotives - Do we see Class 47 and 74? What about Class 66? I like how they need diesel locos to pull the Class 745 to Norwich Crown Point Depot.
Sorry, only just come across your work eve tho been subscribed for years! Can you remember how it is the broken down 755 that was coupled to a 'rescue' diesel still was on time? Superb vid, thank you for all your work!
Hello (and welcome back!), I've only recently (less than a year) been more active so, to be honest, you haven't missed much :) It depends which point of view you see the broken down train from. Technically, the original 745 passenger service was cancelled and a new empty stock service (47+745) was ran from Ipswich to Norwich CP, so, on that side, it was on-time. I see your point though. I hope you will stick around a bit more 😃
Hi Trainspotter 222, I'm not actually sure. I didn't get chance to ask the staff why it had failed, although, it was bad enough for it not to even carry any passengers that day.
Hello, I've started to use a 'Dead Cat' (That's what its called! Promise!) to help stop the wind being so noticeable. Google Image 'Dead Cat Mic' if you want an idea of what it looks like.
I would love to go ride on the Greater Anglia 12-Car Class 745 Electric Flirt and 3-Car & 4-Car Class 755 Bi-mode Flirts. Sad to see the Class 321 that are to be replaced by the Class 720 Aventras throughout 2020 and 2021-onwards with a extra 44 Class 720s on order that will see Greater Anglia having 133 Class 720/5 units. Especially on the West Anglia and Hertford East services when Greater Anglia does allow the Class 720s to enter service on those routes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_720 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_745 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_755
I spent a significant amount of time on the 745 and 755s whilst in this area and they are honestly fantastic trains. The 720s hold promise for being the best in the Aventra series but we will just have to see. I will attempt to capture some footage of the 720s as soon as reasonably practicable. Thanks EssexLad ⭐️
nice getting the Stadler FLIRT rescue, its interesting to see a rescue happen

I was extremely lucky to see this 47 drag. Its unlikely to happen again as ROG do not operate 47s anymore.
