Anyone else feel that the scream Riku does when he enters Dark Mode is way more fitting than him yelling "DARKNESS!" in Re:CoM? Might just be nitpicking, but the whole point of Riku's dark form is that he doesn't WANT to enter it, he's trying to avoid it (at least until after Destiny Island), and his scream in this conveys that because it sounds like he's being forced into it. In Re:CoM, it sounds like he's willingly activating that form, like when someone yells the name of their attack as they use it.
I agree, in many ways I think the GBA version is better. Although Re:CoM has nice graphics, cutscenes with voice acting and a few added features, the GBA version is more challenging, you can't get away with spaming sleights uniterrupted and Ansem's final battle doesn't have the silly duel system that pretty much just grants you the win. And on a personal note, the sprite work is something visually unique in a way that 3d models can never capture.
@@danieldsantiagorodriguez4955 I prefer the GBA version overall, too. Somehow Riku felt more expressive in that version, though that might just be me XD I never got a hang of the Duel system. I'm TERRIBLE at timed events like that that force you to act under preassure. Battle system in general worked so much better in 2D than 3D (guess it makes sense since it WAS made for 2D). In 3D everything's just so fast and chaotic that against the Org members, it feels like you never have time to collect your thoughts or see what's happening. Also Riku's Dark Aura got nerfed to hell in Re:CoM in regular battles. Still decent in boss battles I guess.
@@Someguyhere111 Oh, that's another thing. Aside of the voice clips in the GBA version during combat, when a character speaks, you see a portrait of their face beside the dialog box. The faces seem to speak, they blink and they have a specific expression depending of the emotion in which they say things. Maybe that's why you find it more expressive? In Re:CoM there's voice acting to let you know the emotion behind what's said but the 3D models, in my opinion, lack the capacity of showing said emotions with their faces, unlike the portraits in the GBA version. That's without mentioning that the voice direction is off but that's an issue with KH in general.
For the GBA version, the max level is 100 (on the PS2 version it's 99), the max HP possible is 560, the last sleight learnable by Sora is Ragnarok from I believe lv. 49 onwards, and the rest of the levels can be put into CP. For Riku, you can upgrade Attack Power every 4-5 or so levels, and I think you can upgrade your Dark Points endlessly (though don't quote me on that).
@@Zonefire15 essentially in both COM and Re:COM, your way of maxing Riku's deck damage are his AP and DP levels. AP is kinda the replacement to the CP for Sora, but instead of adding cards Riku's attack percentage grows so he deals more damage to enemies. DP is mainly there for staying in Darkness mode longer for better sleights. Otherwise unfortunately there isn't a way to change his deck, except for the ability to use random heartless cards in a certain world room that uses those effects

How did you unlock Riku after the story of Sora
i remember sitting in computer class in high school playing this game on my phone. literally beat both story modes in that class lol.
Did you do it without getting caught by the teacher or did he/she didn't care and how long was your class ? Like how long did your class last ?
Nah that was vibe lol

Admit it that the only reason you play the PlayStation version is to kick Zexion's ass.
That and the new marluxia fight added to it
I'm genuinely annoyed that zexion wasn't fight able in the GBA version
@@Phoenix_Blader_93 Apparently, it was because the creators were not able to figure out his powers and weapon of choice at that time.

question what are the levels you can max out hp, card capacity and skills?
@@franx237 i see ao what level number s max them out like level 30,60,99??
@@avesta4206 Pretty sure is 99, but you won’t likely get past 40 in riku’s mode

I hated the fact i couldnt change this mans deck
But you can grind for 6 hours
So you can't mess with the deck at all?
