What I am trying to say is that I wished there was something like a switch version button, to select which version you would like to play. Something like what Megaman X Legacy Collection has done with the language selection, but instead of language, was a version select.
I remember getting trapped in the Beauty and the beast world cuz I didn't manage my room cards carefully. had to restart the whole damn game. good times
Here's something I noticed: • The CP (Card Points) cap is 1900. Each level up will increase CP by 25. If you go through the entire game leveling up CP and learning sleights only, you will reach 1900 CP at Level 77. • The HP cap is 560. Each level up will increase HP by 15. If you go through the game leveling up HP and learning sleights only, you will reach 560 HP at Level 44. This poses you with a dilemma. Which stat is more important throughout the game? HP? or CP? Factoring in that you can learn 11 sleights as a level-up bonus, you start the game at Level 1, and the level cap is 99... • Maxing out HP (with sleights) and then spending the rest on CP will net you 1650 CP. • Maxing out CP (with sleights) and then spending the rest on HP will net you 330 HP. Pick your poison. Remember: Maxing out CP means you'll be at 80 HP until Level 78, and maxing out HP means you'll be at 275 CP until Level 44.
Such cool sprites, I just wish it played like either the first game simplified, or like a regular turn-based battle system. Combining the two just feels awkward as hell to actually play, I've never even gotten past the second world because it's just so hard to get into.
rw:just how the fuck that the bosses "0" cards are always able to beat your combos, and if you did a "0" card on them it becomes a card break,i mean whats up with that?!
"0" cards are able to break any card or sleight (3 cards used at once) in the game, but at the same time they are easily broken by any other card in the game because of the higher values. So you have to think carefully about when to use a "0" card to avoid your attack from being interrupted.

Somehow the GBA and DS ports offered a completely different delivery that still felt like you were playing Kingdom Hearts
The one and only kingdom hearts game i ever played and actually enjoyed
From what I'm seeing here, great job. You have good reactions for a player, finesse of a yugioh duelist, and your attacks have power in them. Certainly better than I was, which was a mess when I'm looking back at it now.
This honestly makes me want to go find my Gameboy Micro and this game and play through it.
You can play it on android
Download my boy emulator
Download the gsme you want at romsmania
And then profit :)
@@faisfaiz4353 I personally prefer CDromance since it's easier to search for the games while being on the site.Romsmania has mostly a certain number in front of the games name like 123456-(game name) so you can't search for the game on the site.
@@faisfaiz4353 playing this game on android is hell
@@MohammadAhmad-sf6by You can play it on Xbox instead!(GBA through Microsoft edge)
@Febreeze Booz` Yes
I remember getting this when I was little, it was and still is my favorite gba game. I think I still have the manual, but not the or game anymore. Good memories.
One may say a collection of memories....
Perhaps a chain, if you will.
I never got it when I was little but my ex is a big kingdom hearts fan, as am I. Anyway, one day a few years ago she showed me her gba copy of this game and let me have it. I still have it but no gba to play it. I've been meaning to take another shot at Re:CoM.
This was one of my favorite gba games along with Sword of mana, Pokémon Ruby, Final fantasy tactics, and Riviera.
I wonder how hard Sephiroth would have been if he was in Chain of memories?
too bad riviera is not continued as a series, just remade in PSP. It's really a great game with unique gameplay
OMG Riviera!!! Such a lowkey game - I was never able to beat it. I hope to play it soon and beat it this time.
@@pokerflush1000 it's kinda hard if you're not levelling like every single items in your inventory 😂. But once you've done it the game is a piece of cake.
I don’t even remember the leveling thing its been such a long long time since I played it I even forgot about it
@@Various1026 and you gain new Over skills for those items.
Hoo boy, I started playing this game and I should prepare more for the bosses, geez there are alot of them
It's so funny that sora was still supposed to keep his kid voice in com but due to human reasons Square was stuck with puberty HJOsment
CEO: how are you in stressful situations.
Me: I viciously ran against larxene in the gba version
CEO: FRIGGINHIRED
What no Blue Eyes White Dragon?
Final Marluxia lags the game to shit. I forgot about that
Replica Riku (the final time you fight him) was easily the hardest boss in the game for most kids. (dark aura anyone?) He was toned down for the PS2 remake.
This brings me back
this random video got this many views, but others from the same channel didnt... it baffles me!
I remember having a really clutch moment with riku because i had fought ansem and beat him with only 1-4 hp left legit coulda one shot meh i was so happy that day it felt so satisfying
I can never get pass the boss fight with Riku Replica IV cause he keeps moving while attacking me that I don't even get to fight back for once even after dodging his attacks :(
my strategy is to use blitz and sonic blade as fast as you can, when you run out of cards use potions
@@franx237 Maybe I should increase the CP first after raising HP as priority
Break his Specials with zero cards, Helps a lot with those bosses
I still have the original CoM I got in late 2004 in my room.
"GOOFY COM'ON"
SOWRA
i consider sora getting into super smash bros. ultimate canon to the kingdom hearts timeline because in the secret episode of kingdom hearts 3 re mind, he fights yozora in a location from verum rex which is a video game
Chains of memories was so underrated
Damn, the stomach acid floor in Parasite Cage's fight was of no concern.
RIGHT!?
This shouldn't be too hard to include in the collections, right?
Its looks hold up super well.
Kingdom Hearts games will never be the same again
I always forget chain of memories was originally for the GBA
@Just Some Guy without a Mustache it’s you
I was generally disappointed when this game came out. Now I compare it to shit like union cross and dark road and its a damn masterpiece.
Nice new thumbnail.
thanks mate :)
The nostalgia is strong with this one. God I feel old.😂
amazing game tbh beat this whole game that riku boss fight almost made me break my gameboy
Which one? IV?
Marluxia, Final Replica RIku
I hate them
A KH game where cards are everything in combat
Luxord: Imma pretend i didn't see that
These graphics look insane for a Gameboy, I wonder if I was playing on some knockoff console all those years ago 😂
Why do a lot of people give re:CoM a lot of shit? It plays really well and looks really clean
Because it’s a boring kingdom hearts game and the only game that has a different play style
The PlayStation version anyway lol
now i know why the "re" is in title of the HD version of this game
Vexen here laughs like a clown. More like Pennywise from IT
Why this version aren't on 1.5+2.5 hd remix?
Because there's the PS2 remake version.
This is a Gameboy advance title. The remake was originally for the ps2 so yeah. If you want this version, emulate it.
What I am trying to say is that I wished there was something like a switch version button, to select which version you would like to play. Something like what Megaman X Legacy Collection has done with the language selection, but instead of language, was a version select.
The very first KH game only on GameBoy Advance
Yep. They only released the side games on nintendo handheld except for birth by sleep which was on psp.

POWER
Here's something I noticed:
• The CP (Card Points) cap is 1900.
Remember: Maxing out CP means you'll be at 80 HP until Level 78, and maxing out HP means you'll be at 275 CP until Level 44.
still a better game than union x road r whatever its called
1:10:43 holy hell I forgot how his base attack did more damage than his specials
Larxene used to kick the .... out of me!
Damnit, the nobodies stole a word agaiiiin.
god this brings back memories and when it came onto PS2 mannnnnnnnnnn
Such cool sprites, I just wish it played like either the first game simplified, or like a regular turn-based battle system. Combining the two just feels awkward as hell to actually play, I've never even gotten past the second world because it's just so hard to get into.
when you understand the pace of the game, it starts to look cool, believe me, I hated this card system too the first time ...
1:02:47 Larxene activated the Limit Break!
What's the hardest boss in the game, and why is it objectively Hades?
Never beat this game, couldn’t beat dragon maleficent for nothing
I couldn’t beat this game either. I was never able to get past phase 1 Marluxia. Great game regardless tho
Captain hook was THAT BOSS for me if you know what I mean........
I cant beat the PlayStation version the PlayStation version is boring to me
I'm astonished a GBA is able to run this game, I mean it only has like 10 buttons if I remember correctly
gragh ha, ha, ha, EWHA! Here! This is it! o.O
rw:just how the fuck that the bosses "0" cards are always able to beat your combos, and if you did a "0" card on them it becomes a card break,i mean whats up with that?!
"0" cards are able to break any card or sleight (3 cards used at once) in the game, but at the same time they are easily broken by any other card in the game because of the higher values. So you have to think carefully about when to use a "0" card to avoid your attack from being interrupted.
