👉What do you think of the legendary Dick Van Dyke? Let us know in the comments.
Seems to Be in Better Shape Than Clint Eastwood. Stay Healthy Gentlemen.
He is the same sweetheart
no matter how old he is.75 the most. But when it cames to age I forget my mathematics
HELEN Greece.
I think the fountain of youth is exercise
He is slim and a frantic dancer for years and may have added a few days too.
He used to smoke like a chimney and was a heavy drinker too. Must have good genes.
Yep, he talks about that openly. He was an alcoholic for probably 25 years. You are right! Thanks for watching.
absolutely
I know from experience that a healthy lifestyle can do a lot to overcome bad genes. I lost both parents and 2 siblings to cancer and heart disease, all at relatively young ages, but I'm not accepting that as my destiny. I exercise vigorously to stay fit and agile, I fast routinely and eat primarily whole foods (nothing processed), I utilize a few high quality supplements that protect cell function and promote longevity. As a result, I am in excellent health without a single health issue and no red flags on any of my labs. Conversely, all of my remaining siblings has some type of chronic illness. You are not only your genes nor your past lifestyle. It's never too late to improve the quality of whatever time you have left.
He became a heavy drinker from the stress of his show. He wasn't prepared for the fame and the grueling schedule they had to keep up with.
Leonard Nemoy had the same problem, plus throw in He couldn't show emotions for hours in a day. It will get to you.
Exactly
Good for him!!! We should follow in his footsteps...eat blueberries and DANCE 🤩🤩🤩
What a great t-shirt that would be! FRONT: "What's the Key to Longevity?" BACK: "Eat Blueberries and DANCE!"🤩 Love it! Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Good genes, he struggled with drink and smoking for years.
My dad smoked 65 years and never had cancer, he ate terrible food, but kept going. It's mostly genetics, but lifestyle can make or break some people.
So true! Thank you so much for watching and for sharing a bit about your personal experience. We appreciate it!

Out of all the countless body workout videos out there, this is the most inspirational! Thanks for sharing! Loved DvD for decades!!❤
We are so happy to hear you found this inspirational. We totally agree...DVD is the best! May he keep inspiring us for years to come. Thanks so much for watching.
He has good genes. He eats a pint of Häagen-Dazs every day. I'd love to do that. Other than the sugar, Häagen-Dazs is one of the best to eat. Most ice cream has a paragraph of ingredients you can't pronounce or have no idea what they are. Häagen-Dazs has about 5 ingredients, all common things you know. It's also non-gmo. I would eat organic ice cream or Häagen-Dazs only. Häagen-Dazs always won out because it tasted the best. 😊
It's so true! Haagen-Dazs is one of the very few ice creams with common, legible and edible ingredients! LOL. Thanks so much for watching our video and for sharing your opinion. We appreciate you!
A spoonful of natural sugar helps the medicine go down. And not much more than in a Haagen-Dazs cup.
@@Healthyat100 Now if they could just reduce the cost.
You need to get over the gmo thing. GMO's (genetically modified organism) are what brings you good things like honey crisp apples, tangelos, rose varieties and much more. Lots of 'organic' food items are gmo's - like those aforementioned apples. All those old memes showing corn eaten and not eaten? Well one was grown strictly to make ethanol and was not for animal or human consumption.
@@gusmonster59 I don't think so. Sticking with organic.
He makes me smile just seeing him laugh and smile and his domineer. Maybe it’s because I remember watching him as Bert on Mary Poppins but something about him just puts a smile on my face.
We feel exactly the same way! His positive energy is contagious. Thanks so much for watching and sharing!
Here you are to save you 9 mins:
1. Fast & Processed food
2. Salty food
3. Red meat
4. Alcohol
@christ2ce Thanks for leaving everyone a recap. Appreciate you.

My Great Aunt lived for 106 she was vegan, she loved the Lord and she never had a TV❤️😘
Amazing! So much love to your Great Aunt and your whole family. May her longevity run in all of you. Thanks for watching and for sharing.
Looking no TV gave her 30 years plus I think 😁
I agree Tv is bad
My uncle lived to age 106. He was not vegan.
I was born one day before he turned 28, and I wish I could move like him.
You can still get there! Small habit changes every day lead to enormous positive results. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!💖
My grandpa lived to 98 and ate bacon, eggs and coffee nearly every morning of his life. To tell the truth, I wouldn't want to live that long, but he'd probably still be here if he hadn't suffered a fall that broke his back in 2016.
That's a pretty amazing story! We're quite sorry to hear about your grandpa's passing, especially due to complications from his injury. But we very much appreciate you watching and sharing a bit of your own story. Thank you so much!
What was his diet like other then breakfast???? Did he exercise? Sorry for your loss just curious how he got to live so long
@@richardbazlamit4530 He ate normal farm fare and kept his mind and body busy all the time. People born in 1918 never exercised, they worked. ;-)

Thank you so much for your kind comment. We appreciate you watching.
Makes sense and is pretty simple: no meat or alcohol, lots of fruits and veggies, and lots of exercise.
Right on! Thank you so much for watching.
Meat is a natural human diet. We weren't meant to eat fruits and vegetables
I don't think I can want to live without eating red meat. It was an addiction of mine since early childhood, especially Lamb Chops, Rib Steaks, Petcha, Flanken, ECT.
That's ok! To each their own. There's no ONE diet that is right for every single person on this planet. If red meat works well for you and is not negatively impacting your health, then there is no reason to change. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment. We appreciate you!
Red meat is good for you sugar and carbs are NOT.
He is so adorable. Please let him live for the next 100 years!

I eat a bowl of blueberries every day
Awesome! Thanks for sharing with us. Appreciate you watching.
I eat "wild" blueberries. I hear they are not sprayed
do research on blueberries, I read they have the most chemicals on them.
@@markae0 organic blueberries do not and i heard "wild" blueberries are not sprayed either. Regular yes and I believe you are correct
@@KevinKenna-wv6qx Hope you wash them off before eating. You never know what wild animal may have relieved themselves on them.. yuk yuk
To quote Clint Eastwood, "Don't let the 'old man' in".
i heart that phrase from Jeff Bridges!
I’m pushing 71 but I don’t look a day older than 55. Yes, genetics have played an important part but a healthy lifestyle is also extremely important. I never smoked or taken drugs, I have never been overweight, I eat no red meat, I don’t abuse alcohol and I walk an average of 16,5 km (a little over 10 miles) a day. Some people are blessed with good health but staying healthy takes work and dedication.
We agree! Thank you so much for watching and for sharing a bit about your personal journey. Much appreciated!
Loved him as a kid watching the Show with MTM ,glad to see he is living in the moment!
Yes! All his shows were great. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. We appreciate it!
God Bless This Man !
Hear! Hear! We totally agree. He's amazing and inspirational. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment. We appreciate you.
I think folks that reach an older age is due to GENETICS --- NOT so much the attitude or diet... I know some VERY old folks that eat crazy and drink like fish- or are and have been wild..and yet made it to great age... SOME eat "healthy- are good folks and die at 70... it's more genetics..
This is very true. I think we all know examples of both those types of people. We tend to agree with you. "Good" genes will get you far. And if you don't have those "good" genes, great lifestyle choices can really make a difference. Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your opinion. We appreciate you!
I agree genetics has a lot to do with longevity. My grandfather dined on tv dinners, candy and other junk food. He also spent hours in front of a tv in his older years. He lived to a ripe old age of 103.
@@Healthyat100 I had a tenant in my building in Torrance- that RAN 5 miles a day- did the gym 3 days a week- was always juicing and all that stuff-- and we found him dead in there one morning of heart failure- at 45...and the docs said there was no "apparent cause"... People tell me " I jog around 3-5 miles a day" and i say "big Whoop- I have a car!".
Blue Zone and Mediterranean diets are eaten in places where entire communities live long and healthy lives. Individuals vary, but when it's more widespread, it tends to involve particular diets and regular physical activity.
Agree, a lot of WWI and 2 veterans lived long lives and they didnt have good nutrition and had a lot of stress. Good Genes
Just a generalization, but I notice dancers tend to age better then most. They seem to have that "twinkle in the eyes". Maybe it's the endorphins.
Haha! Maybe so! Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
That, plus it keeps them flexible.
@@jh76103 That's right!
Agreed. Keep them body parts running. I need to follow that advice at 70 1/2.
It could be related to happiness:
Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, the psychologist known for his work on the concept of flow, once said,
"Dancing is an activity that perfectly matches the conditions for flow. It’s almost physically impossible to dance and not be happy."
Quitting alcohol did the most good.

Dr. Michael Greger has written a number of great books, his best being "How not to Die," which I believe was really supposed to be a tongue in cheek sort of title to get people to pick it up off the shelf, as we all know, none of us are getting out of here alive. At least not with current knowledge.
Anyways, in that book, which he dedicated to his grandma, he goes on to tell the world that he became a doctor, because of his grandmother. Not because she died early in life, but because at 65, she was sent home to die in a wheelchair. Terminal heart disease. Crushing chest pains. Multiple bypass surgeries left main stream doctors no choice. But grandma watched the show "60 Minutes." She saw an episode about Nathan Pritikin, an early lifestyle medicine pioneer, who had been helping people reverse terminal heart disease. She became one of his first patients. She was placed on a plant based diet and then started on a graded exercise regimen. They wheeled her in, and she walked out.
This is an exeprt from Pritikin's biography, "Pritikin: The man who healed America's heart" :
"Frances Greger, arrived in Santa Barbara at one of Pritikin's early sessions in a wheelchair. Mrs. Greger had heart disease, angina, and claudication; her condition was so bad she could no longer walk without great pain in her chest and legs. Within three weeks, though, she was not only out of her wheelchair but was walking ten miles a day."
Frances Greger lived another 31 years after that lifestyle change. She should have died at 65. She lived to 96.
So yes, genes do play a part. An extremely large part.
For the rest of us, there is hope. In the form of a lifestyle change.
I'm 63. Run 10k every other day. I have a car, but I choose to run, because of the endurance and well being benefits. No pain. No drugs. Hydrate well. Still eat the occaisonal bag of chips. No dairy. No meat. Vegan 90% of the time, with a little bit of butter thrown into my croissants or popcorn. A bit of cheese in some pastry, but otherwise salads (the tasty kind), pastas, plant based food (stay away from highly processed foods). SO much to choose from!
Life is a blessing. I try not to forget that. As well as being grateful every day, for everything that I have. Including what little bit of knowledge I've picked up along the way, to spread it to others.
He is also one of the only actors alive in mary poppins
