  • Great carb. No issues and ran much smoother and more consistent than the Edelbrock 1406. Beyond initial idle adjustment, no further adjustments required. Highly recommend over the Edelbrock.

It was designed after the Autolite 4100 that Ford used for years. I just got one myself.

I have been running one on a 331 450 horse small block in a 64 Fairlane best Street carburetor on the market I've been running it 8 years . Primary and secondary Jets the same size as 650 Holley 67 primary 73 secondary

I've had one of these carbs for almost 10 years. Been a great carb. Daily driven most of the time with zero reliability issues. I've run it on a few different engines over the years. I also bought this to replace an Edelbroke 1406 that never ran quite right, it had manufacturing defects.

Had mine for 8 years now. Needed some adjusting after a bit of ownership. Flat spot off idle keeps coming back.

I put the summit 600 on my 1977 Dodge tradesman200 van. I rebuilt the engine from the bottom up. Its running a comp cam xe250h which is "mild". Weiand stelth intake and hedman headers. The carb really has been working well and has great throttle response.

What do you get for MPG out of that van with that cam and carb? we had a 78 B200 sportsman that had an old school direct connection 260H cam, edelbrock performer intake, Holley 4360 ecomomaster 450 cfm carb and it had a 2.5" dual to 3" single exhaust and always averaged 14-15 mpg out of it. Thing ran great. I run the XE250H in a 351W with the summit 600 carb and it averages 10 MPG, well it gets that with any carb I've had on it.

@@MattsRageFitGarage I'd have to say about 10 as well. But I calculate smiles per gallon, and in that value I'm in the 20 to 30 range.

@@julianchavez3372 What engine is in your van? ours had a 318. The old direct connection 260h was like a 194 @.050 cam with .410" lift on a 114 LSA. It was pretty nice for what it was and took us on many road vacation trips and daily driving for 35 years. I do think the 110 LSA of the comp cams XE line is harder on gas than a wider LSA, I've experienced this on a few different engines now.

@@MattsRageFitGarage It is the LA 360. I reused the stock rotating assy including pistons. Just rerung it with new bearings. It will do 100 miles an hour smooth.

@@julianchavez3372 Shit ours was all over the road past 55 mph and it had a full front end rebuild at 80k miles and two steering boxes so I'd say yours does petty good!
