I totally agree on the ‘one note’ aspect. I still really like that it’s all so sweet because it’s unfortunately rare to get that within queer stories. Too often there’s constant pain and hardship so getting the consistent cuteness felt like a welcome change.
Completely with you there! I'd much rather take this over the "bury your gays" trope or just having them be miserable. Idk I don't think it's a massive issue that the vibe feels one-note. Just gotta be in a specific mood for it I guess Thanx for watching!
You're description of season one and it's feels we're spot on, which explains why I felt so depressed after watching it the first time. In our modern insta-gratifying society, it's hard to realize you want someone in your life and then have to actually put in real work to achieve that instead of just going somewhere to "purchase" what you want. Of course, friendships and or relationships wouldn't be special or have much of a purpose in that model. Also, your tangent on growing up gay in our digital reality is spot on. This is why as much I enjoyed season two and it's further character developments I kept on telling everyone that the show is playing a dangerous game with young peoples expectations. While something this wholesome is possible, it's just as unlikely at the same time. Thanks for the review! :)
Thank you for your outstanding review. Love the way you think and are mindful of every angle as you emphasize what is truly important in a relationship. It was quite a breath of fresh air!!! Thank you!!!❤😊
Wow, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it I don't know, that's just what really struck me the most whilst watching their relationship unfold. Really nice to see! Thanks for watching🫶🏼
@@AndyVillin BTW, there is a weird queer movie that I believe has gone under the radar because I can not find a review on it. Is called "Benjamin" Is with the kid that played "Merlin". Anyway if you have not seen it it would be a nice experience. Is centered in 'depression' friendship. And it is quite taken from true reality. It has a good ending. Anyway. Thanks again!

Benjamin.. Never heard of it, but I'll add it to the list! I love the idea of reviewing stuff most people don't know about
Thanx!
