Our Flag Means Death is an American period romantic comedy television series created by David Jenkins. Set in the early 18th century during the Golden Age of Piracy, the series follows the misadventures of gentleman-turned-pirate Stede Bonnet (Rhys Darby) and his crew aboard the Revenge as they try to make a name for themselves as pirates and cross paths with famed pirate captain Blackbeard (Taika Waititi).
In this second season, the relationship between Stede and Blackbeard has fractured, and the two will have to find themselves in each other once again, whilst facing new challenges from both without and within.

Ed's story over the last two episodes felt very ADHD to me. Or a trauma response. They can look similar. The very abrupt choices that seem to come out of nowhere and wanting to give up at the first sign of difficulty or required effort were quite relatable for (younger) me. His character has been ADHD/CPTSD coded in other ways through both seasons, so for me it didn't feel out of character when he had those reactions.

You think there will be a season three? I thought they tied it all up in a neat "piracy is over" bow. What have you heard that I haven't?

As far as I know, the series creator David Jenkins has planned for there to be a third and final season, although I don't think HBO has renewed it for a third season yet. It'll probably depend on how well it does.
And yeah there was some resolution in that finale, but there was also talk of them joining Zheng on a quest for revenge. Guess we'll just have to see🤷🏼‍♂️
