    You ARE the best instructor on TH-cam. Golf takes a mix of tech, logic, & common sense, & you have all 3 of those in abundance.

      @@golftecasia Your very welcome Rob. What you teach resonates extremely well with those dedicated to improvement, those Never Say Die Souls who analyze maybe a little too much, we are the ones who appreciate cutting through all of the confusion to get to a desired and proven solution. 👍💪 In fact I might just move to Singapore.😂

    This is an excellent instructional video. I could not for the life of me figure this out on my own. My instructor showed me the numbers and I was swinging over the top from a lack of hip slide in the downswing. Great video. Really helps me visualize what I’m working on

    Thanks Rob, whenever I struggled I was always told it was my lack of turn, yet the more I turned the worse I got, since adopting a S&T swing I'm not afraid to slide (a dirty word for a lot of golf instructors) and have my weight forward, my ball striking has improved no end, hopefully the improvements will continue 👍

    Great lessons Swinging around a stable spine is so much easier on your back than a traditional swing You have saved my lower back and the pain I Have had for 30 years and now I am able to play two days in a row again Thanks so much

    Rob, just subscribed to you... I've been working on what I call the Nellie Korda move, where her hips are already unwinding even before she hits top of backswing... Along with that I've evolved to the keeping posted on left side.. And then just unwinding... I got down to a 2 handicap with this what I will call revelations.. Do you do any online teaching where i can send you clips, and you advise? No one is talking about what you are talking about... it's huge! Just the mental visualization of picturing turning around the left posted leg, rather than the spine, is profound.. Best, Tom F BTW, you completely debunk the myth that there is nothing good in stack and tilt... Maybe we need to rename it, but everything is tighter a nd better for me Nick saguto talks about weight on left side too. It's gold

    I have to rewatch this one over and over before every range sesh and hope at least one of the many insightful details sears ... Spectrum folks like myself are a bit slow on the uptake, but Robby C has proven himself to me, and pretty much everyone that’s seen him in action, (see all the 👍) that he’s as good as they come. Thanks again RC

    Hi Rob, I love your videos because you explain in detail the reason why people people make bad golf swings and how to correct them. I am a 71 year old golfer who has struggled for years with coming over the top. I used to hit the ball good when I was younger. I have tried everything to get my club head path more in to out. After watching this video if my me realize that I don't slide my hips the right way. I have two bad hips and a bad lower back but I think if I can get a slight bump towards the target it will help my game. Thank you for this video.

    My interpretation of this video (correct me if I'm wrong): too much hip slide is a 'better mistake' than too much hip turn? From the stats, you were much closer and in line with the PGA level (green numbers) on the hip slide but way off (lots of red numbers) on the excessive hip turn. That seem reasonable? I think this also aligns with your view that most people need to be working on hip turn, not hip slide...

    Hi Rob,
    First of all what you said about a swing having some of both hip slide and hip turn is right on point and the water bottle drill is now my favorite drill. Thanks

  • @ronharrington8659
    @ronharrington8659 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Rob- This is exactly what I’ve experienced. However I also early extend some, which I’m trying to work on as well. I’ve noticed my divots are a little right to left. So I need to slide more. I’ve always been an in to out swinger and always had a draw. That’s how I learned to play golf. That produced more extension and power when I was younger. Now that I’ve gotten older I was taken the club too much inside in the backswing, then got me to early extend and break down my arms etc... I’m doing your drills and found yesterday that I made a lot better contact on the ball. But I still over hooked some and faded some. So I’m exactly what you described in this video. I’ve got to find a middle ground. But I have to say I was making better contact on the ball. As I mentioned before, I have arthritis and have to deal with grip issues with my fingers, using larger grips, lower back and neck issues. But I enjoy the game so much, as this is all I do. I don’t fish or hunt or the like. I saw Aaron Baddley, may have misspelled last name, years ago when he was on Nike tour. I live in Central Arkansas, and golf at Hot Springs Village. The Nike tour used to play there every year... Zach Johnson also played back then... Thanks again for all you do. I have a large group I play with on Saturday at HSV, and have shared your videos with some of them. I can see this is going to work for me, even yesterday afternoon, at the range....

    Loved this video. Thank you Rob. Getting my hips to slide when at the top of back swing I find very difficult. The bottle drill led me to think that the hip slide is driven by the feet and legs. Is that true? Graham

    Superb Rob. Tailor made for me! I love the way you promote a “balance” between two opposing movements. Too much of the snake oil out there on t’interweb encourages you to work on one movement which then destroys another. A question not really related to this...have you or any of your guys and videos on forearm crossover after impact? I lapse into chicken-winging and “guiding” thru impact with an open clubface. I’d really like to find one of your videos as I trust you guys whereas I don’t trust the snake oil stuff out there...thanks, Martin

    Hello Rob, please explain what is desirable: slide the hip ( the left hip is furthest) and lean to the left side ( left shoulder, hip and knee in a straight line front view)? And from what position (p5.5 or P6) the secondary tilt would take place).

    Thanks Rob - Your presentation opened up ways of thinking in analyzing the results of my golf swing I constantly struggled with. I have a habit of hitting the ball to high. You even offered a solution in your presentation. with Yet there is one thing that fits more in the range of club fitting and is barely addressed in golf lessons which is how tall one is, arm lenght and CLUB LENGTH.

    Do you. feel or think that your lower body ( turn or slide ) happens before your arms start down ( you wait with your arms) or do the arms start down at the same time as the lower body.In other words is your mind driving your. lower body or your arms? Obviously you cannot have the mind focusing on 2 things at once.

      @@golftecasia I sorry Rob for the follow up, Do you mean keeping my back to the target a moment longer on the down swing as I'M coming back to the ball? Today I was using the thought after I had my lead shoulder pointing at the ball and ready to come back to the ball as having the center of my chest tracing my down swing plane to the ball and through the follow through.
