If you like tuna fish in a can...use an avocado mashed up and sub it for mayo. add in what you do for tuna salad. Put the tuna salad in a half a sweet red pepper. or what ever sweet pepper you like. I do not eat hot peppers, but if you do, try using that.

You have done a great job!!! I wish my husband could do a diet like that and get off his insulin, but he never had a weight problem and is barely hanging on to 150 pounds, when 180 would be better. Your diet is a great one to follow for someone who just needs to lose weight to avoid Type 2 diabetes and the health problems that come with being overweight. You both must be so proud of the huge progress you have made!!! No cheat days is fabulous advice!

@@markellyfarm He's type two - no clue where it came from and why, but it's been 13 years. Took 10 years to go from controlling with diet and exercise to on insulin. He loves veg and meat and has always had a diet heavy in those. Early on, we found out that a single spoonful of rice would pop his blood sugar to over 300.

Mark, I love my Pepsi. So that has been hard to drop. Did you give up Pepsi and peanuts? And do you drink your coffee black now?? I am so hoping this will help because I do not want to go on meds at all and I hate poking my finger also. I get so shaky and wacked out when my sugars screw up I cant think or remember how to use the thing.
I haven't had the working mans snack since I started. Now that my body is processing sugars again it probably wouldn't hurt every now and then. I've always drank my coffee black. I hope you stick to your journey. It's well worth it, believe me. You will lose your sugar cravings if you stop the sweet stuff.
