@@andrada9506 you only get red and black electricity from making a choice at the end of the game (and it isnt even canon to the actual story). Also the rest of that is kinda vague so i dont even know what you mean about his story or development. Im not saying there isnt some edgyness to it but its just dishonest to label the entire thing as edgy.

I ADORE inFamous, this and Uncharted 2 got me super in on the PS3 (Mainly the X-Play coverage and glowing 5 star reviews). I own and platinumed all the games, and still want another installment for PS5 from Suckerpuch. I platinumed of Ghost of Tsushima, now give more inFAMOUS!
The first game has some weird bugs, nothing game breaking, 2 is a big leap after the first game, and Second Son is still great looking today, and that's was almost being a launch title. (Almost forgot about the Festival of Blood DLC where Zeke tells a story about Cole getting Vampire powers)

Same. Up until that point, all I could play was just the demo, and I wanted to try the whole thing.
Infamous 1 is very glitchy, but 99% of it is in funny things like enemies stuck spinning in mid-air. 2 is way better, but 1 still has some merit to it.
This franchise needs a ps5 port
InFamous 1 needs more than just a port, the game is still fun but that overall presentation...
@@onthedre I'm mostly referring to the character animation in cutscenes, it definitely needs a remake to fix that.
@@TerrorOfTalos Yeah i mean they all have the same mouth animations as the old Sly Cooper games, but i'd keep them in for as silly as they look because that was the last time we ever saw Sucker Punch use those.

Was my first PS3 game like a lot of people, remember being evil and civilians pelting rocks at me. They really hated me. Guess I should‘ve not bio leeched civilians 24/7.
@@andrada9506 Call me edgy if you want but civilians were walking free energy. And besides the rocks aren’t that bad, they only hit you in the head sometimes.
I played both sides, switching back and forth between the Hero and inFAMOUS files after each mission. I mostly enjoyed playing on the Hero file. In pretty much any game with a morality system, I'll always pick the heroic options. Besides, if you need health in a bind, just shock something metal a bunch, then drain it. You gain more energy than you lose, and it helps in areas with no civilians, such as rooftops or sewers.

I was so into this game back in the day that even when the family ps3 died when my progress was around 60-70% and had to be replaced I started over from scratch in the new console without much trouble. Narrowly got 90%ish as some collectibles and extra missions can be tricky to find, at least in my experience.

In my opinion I liked more infamous 1. Don’t get me wrong I liked the second game and I played it two times with both bad a good ending is just that I don’t feel as op in the end of the game. In infamous 1 in the end I feel op as f and if you get the mad karma you get black electricity and become more op. Like I say is just my opinion

Isn't Prototype the one that died off while Infamous lasted all the way to the PS4.
Prototype died, it's true, but it had a lot more versatility and creativity behind it's powers and movesets. I still prefer infamous immensely but mechanically, prototype had the edge for sure, especially prototype 2
@@michaelhuit Prototype was also multiplatform, so while inFAMOUS was better more people got to experience Prototype.

I did like the secrecy around Kessler, but thought it was quite a cheesy twist.
All of the infamous games are pretty good but Infamous 2 is probably my favorite out of them also the Festival Of Blood dlc is worth checking out.

I remember always being shocked at how much detail was in the environment with this game. Textures are obviously outdated but it still has an atmosphere to it
I'm proud of SP and this series. This shit looks like something that would've been long forgotten but it spawned an amazing sequel and while Second Son wasn't as good as the 2nd game, it was still pretty great. Hi 5 sucker punch!
I loved the powers you could use in second son, more so than the electricity powers from the other games. I thought it was so unique to have powers based around smoke and neon

@@TheSoCalledZoner1 Prototype had a sequel & died, while "edgy" Infamous had a sequel, standalone DLC, Next Gen Launch Title, & Standalone DLC
I played toooooooo much of the first two games and still love them to this day.
I would recommend playing this all the way through before playing Infamous 2 because there's some important plot details and characters in this game that come back in the sequel, and it'll be easier to appreciate the improvements made in Infamous 2, especially the ones involving Cole's powers, which I hope doesn't get spoiled for you.
More Infamous would be cool! Been a while since I've seen these games.

I tried to play that Second Son game like a month or so ago. I was a big fan of the first two but I could NOT get into Second Son at all.
@@joebeast15 I can get that. It’s very different from the first two, the story almost completely, and the gameplay has many tweaks. I’d say try again, it’s very easy and quick to beat.
I love Infamous. I stopped after the second game. Though I’m still curious about Second Son and First Light. I played about an hour of Prototype then sold it. It just wasn’t for me.
Second son has the best movement and is pretty as fuck.
You can get both for super cheap now, definitely worth the price. Last Light is more of a "combat challenge room" style game and not needed to enjoy SS, but has some good story.
I've played every game in the inFAMOUS series and thoroughly enjoyed each installment. I'd say it's one of my favorite series of games. As for [PROTOTYPE], I recently got it for cheap on the PSN store, since I was always curious about what I'd missed out on. So far, I really like it too. It feels like a combination of Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and the Venom aspect of Ultimate Spider-Man, with some stealth elements mixed in.
Both series are different flavors of the super-powered sandbox game, so I can't really decide which I like more until I've finished both [PROTOTYPE] games. Story-wise however, I'd say inFAMOUS is better. At least, based on what I've already seen in [PROTOTYPE].
I had a lot of fun with this game, especially when you get the "accelerate grind along cables and stuff" skill

Man, Infamous 1 and 2 (2 especially) were great games, introduced me to Sucker Punch who went on to make Ghost Of Tsushima, one of my favourite games this year! Would like to see more of course, but either way works.

Oh man, I love Infamous! I actually started with Infamous 2 because one of my friends got it for free with his new PS3, but he told me that he didn't like superhero games and asked me if I had any shoot-bang action games I could trade with him. I offered him my copy of Kane and Lynch. He said "Good, as long as there's no stupid superheroes!" I wasn't familiar with Infamous 2 at the time, but now I know I got the better trade.
The first Infamous is great and has a really solid story, but personally I think Infamous 2 improved on everything. The fact you can pick up cars and throw them at people is proof enough that Infamous 2 is the superior game. I like to pretend I'm Oprah around the city saying "You get a car! ...and you get a car! EVERYONE GETS A CAR!"
This game always looked so nice and clean to me, visually. The animations blew my mind, it felt like almost real life.
I would love to see more of this game. Infamous 2 is my preferred game but the first game is really strong in its own right.

Glad you liked this first run of the game. It is buggy, but they did fix a bit of the bugs in the second one as well as upgraded the cutscenes. There was also a mission creator to where you could play other stages people created.

16:20 I recall the first infamous having very glitchy civilians from time to time. I remember going to a dock and a bunch of civilians kept walking to a dock, and somehow they managed to take fall damage or *something* because this dock/pier was full of civilians just falling to the ground asking for help. Others did some uh, incredibly stretchy things.

Looking back, I'm cold on this game. I love the sequel though. The city of New Marais (?) was really cool to adventure around in. I love the obvious ode to New Orleans and I prefer the look, voice and personality of that version of Cole. I really hope we get a sequel someday that brings him back into the series. Maybe introduce Conduits as a now normal thing in the world so it gives an excuse to have a wider variety of enemy types. Could also be cool to have Cole as the leader of a group of Conduits and your choices determine if you're heroes or villains. Then in multiplayer you and your friends do missions for him and other characters from the main story. Idk. Could be fun.
Infamous is a criminally underrated series, let's hope for a collection/remastered trilogy for the ps5

Infamous is an amazing series! Infamous 1 and 2 are two of my favorite games on ps3. On another note, no offense but I was kinda expecting the evil route on this video so I'm glad you went good path. A little positivity helps right now.
Did you guys know you can clip through fences in this game if you jump at the seems. Because of that you can go back through the bridge to leave the city and through shenanigans you can actually get over the gun wall and leave the city.

Both inFamous and inFamous 2 are my favorites in the entire series. The 2nd one was arguably one of the best games I've played and still believe that Second Son should've been based off of the sequel's evil ending. Cole is definitely one of my favorite video game protagonists as well.
I'm the opposite in that I never really gave the Prototype games a go.

More! First game is relatively simple when you get farther in, but it’s (in my opinion) a satisfying game loop with neat moments sprinkled well throughout.

Second Son was a damn good game for sure. Gives you a bit more options with powers as well so you aren't just stuck with one element. Also moving around Seattle was pretty nice, you don't see a whole lot of city roamers that aren't New York or LA.
InFamous is very close to me as it was not only an evolution of my favorite childhood developer (Sly Cooper), it was also my first next gen title and it helped me to get over a bad breakup.
I think Prototype would also be nice to see another approach at basically the same gameplay concept (which basically is "tickling the player's god complex") but I'd watch Infamous 2 as well. Good job as always!
I completely forgot that they pretty much used the same animation (09:26) for in-game cutscenes as in the Sly games.
Yeah and it unfortunately makes InFamous 1s presentation age several times worse, sly wasn't trying to be realistic and had cel shading for its art direction so it's less uncanny and awkward in comparison.

inFamous was the first PS3 game I got the Platinum trophy. While it was simple enough to do, I had to spend like 8 extra hours after the story ended to grind XP to purchase the very last powerup I need to complete the game. It was a frustrating, yet fond memory I have with the game. lol
I wish they would do a remaster of the first two games. On the PS3 it runs at below 30FPS most of the time.
Huh, must've either been retooled in the Collection or I'm wearing rose-tinted glasses. I can remember the InFamous Collection running just fine.

Finally! A game
Infamous was underrated slightly amidst the competition of the time. Part two is the indeed much better, but only because it improved on the core of part one, and the vampire DLC is pretty good too, almost being a standalone game. Definitely dive in more, but can't recommend anything beyond part 2 as that's the extent of my time with it. Keep at it Mr. McMuscles you doing god's side(?) work
once you get the hover abilities in these games they become soooooo much better. your mobility goes through the roof and getting air shots never stops being fun.

It's 100% worth it to keep going with Infamous 1. Both games are good, but there are definitely sequel things you'd appreciate more if you finish the first game. Plus the second zone has some really creative mission design for some of the main story missions
Would love more Infamous of any kind, but you might be particularly amused by the standalone expansion toInfamous 2 the in which Cole becomes a vampire.
I would love to see a full LP of inFAMOUS from you, but I would also be happy seeing you play 2. If you do play 2, though, be sure to play up until the mutants first arrive.
Damn this brings great memories of the Infamous and Prototype face of consoles! I loved both of them also the good times of openworld games when they were not Ubisoft collectathons. I should play them again.
Also the climbing technique he does at 15:03 is very common with Rock climbers and circus stuff etc. It is weird that only Infamous has used it.
Infamous 2 is the better game right off the bat but there is so much I personally love about Infamous 1 like the weird twist at the end with Adler, some of the big hero moments, and of course the black lightning which was sick. Would love to see Matt play more at least until he gets the zipline power, or even play Infamous 2!

I think the weirdest thing I liked to do with this game is I would play the game being all nice and heroic, maxing out and being Famous. However, I would do none of the good side missions. Then, at the end of the game, I'd make InFamous choice and become evil. Making that choice at the end of the game would give you the black and red lightning instead of the standard red and white. Then I just go and do all the evil side missions.

You have to be really careful with the story of Infamous cause it's the last thing you're expecting to be surprised by.
And at the end, it throws you a curveball like you wouldn't believe.
