SWEEEET
What
Welcome back. I remember your music very well.
so glad i rediscovered this song
about time
I'm obsessed with this song it's one of my favorites currently
same here. I Think I listened to this song 100 times in the past month
Every Steampunk tale of adventure, woe, and triumph pass through that mysterious cafe in central London.
I always assumed this was about a powerful queen. But then I read their web sight and...
Originally named 'Calibernus', this song is about the sword Excalibur and her inexorable link to the earth and forces of nature, as discussed in the legends of King Arthur.
Mind = Blown
Mine blown
Perfect amount of likes.
I love how this comment was posted 8 years ago and nobody altered the 111 likes since it got up there :)
@@_Pix_ Who are we to deny perfection?
I thought it was about some ghost/spirit woman or something.
Huh...so, looking up the lyrics on their site, the song is actually about the sword Excalibur, the one from the legend of King Arthur.
Knowing that makes this song even far more amazing, actually!
I looked it up too, but another site said that this was originally called "Calibernus" as well but was renamed after people at Lincoln Asylum Festival did a waltz to this song.
Does the "she" refer to the Lady of the Lake?
she is the sword. She never smiles, she never talks.
Thank you for the insight concerning the song. It's definitely one of my favorites, and the interpretation makes me like it all the more! :D
This song never gets old, I love it
this sounds like an intro for steampunk 18th century animated mystery drama
They should seriously do more things.
Thomas Vinters He sings for The Filthy Spectacula now
They have split the singer now fronts THE FILTHY SPECTACULA now
Perfect amount of likes.
Rammstein truly changed over the years O.o
Yes, singer looks a lot like Till, I wondered if anyone else noticed :-D
I think the major reason I like this song is beacause it sounds so...real! For example, I can easily imagine this being background music in a cafe in some Steampunk movie while the characters talk about stopping the Mad Daoctor who's trying to kill them to get the other half of the talisman that their father left them that will lead them to some ancient clockwork temple of power.
Mad Hatter this comment is a mood
This gives me the feeling that I am In a bar having a Manhattan talking to my friends about the next adventure to Norway to find a stash of gold, gear and guns. that would be amazing. I 'd love to have a Manhattan right now.
Legends spoken shall never fail Every deed as hard as nails She never speaks, she never smiles The journey's end of a thousand miles Rings on her fingers and bells on her toes Music to haunt us she knows As she goes
Many years in a bed of rock
Too many turns of the season's clock She never smiles, she never speaks The awful silence grows long and deep Ghost light and candlelight show her the way Onwards the dawn of the day As they say
Stay with her, lay with her, carry her high Swear an allegiance to things you can't hide She will find us again She will bind us again Lies won't blind us again Heavens bow to her reign Once again Into her arms below the ground Eternity never made a sound She never speaks, she never smiles The journey ends in a thousand trials Rings on her fingers and bells on her toes Devils and demons alive alive-o Follow us close as we go As we know
Thanks!
"The Cog is Dead" has both light and dark sides. They're amazing.
I have no words to describe how much I loved this song and video. Congrats and thank you! Greetings from Brazil. =)
The good old days :,)
Wow, this steampunk stuff aint too shabby. Ace harpsi sound from the organ and a cool vid too.
Steampunk music with a hint of darkness to it. Absolute perfection
I noticed you guys are apparently back. I’m really excited
Alice Cooper meets Nikki Sixx meets Clockwork Orange, lol. Love it!
Боже, почему я не слышала этого раньше. Такая красивая песня❤
All my friends are currently watching you live as I write this comment. I couldn't afford to go so I am just listening to all your music. It will be my task to see you live one day.
I just discovered this song today and LOVE it. Been listening on repeat all evening and getting nothing done!! Great music!
that voice goes bloody perfect with the ambient...this made my day
That voice is nowthe Voice of THE FILTHY SPECTACULA- check them out
i love this style
Damn, its 2021 and I'm still listening to this
So Reaver from Fable made a band. Neat √
Very very fine Bass playing
This has always made me think of the Night Mother from Skyrim for some reason.
sounds steampunkish enough for me :)
The harpischord player kicks butt too. The crisp drums are like a cookie.
Wonderful ..thanks
I am completely dumbfounded and completely in awe..... I have always thought of myself as someone who had a pretty good grasp on the happenings of music. I guess I was wrong, I just stumbled across this "steampunk" and am completely hooked. Amazing, intense and beautiful.
I love the whole steam punk style
steampunk what can you say? a weird but wonderful and alluring genre.
I really enjoy this song,
And hope they make many more like it.
I sense a strong Doors influence in this song. I love it too.
Great song!
I think I'm listening to this for the sixth time in so many hours, there's something haunting and badass about it, I can't get enough :D
.....pure brilliance.....I really can't say anything else about it.....it's just pure brilliance. I'm in complete aww. owo
Uhhh....I broke the repeat button. Seriously, I happened across this and by the 35 second mark, I was freaking hooked. It's so beautiful.
Remainds me to Abney Park!
i have know of "Steampunk" for a few months now and only listen to Abney Park, but i cam across this and just am addicted to it, it is different, but great
This is why being bored is good, it leads me to finding awesome music!
Best song from them.
Amazing song. It's good
rings on her fingers and bells on her toes, line from favorite childhood lullaby
AWESOME!!!! I found this video today and have heard it at least 10 times. I love it! So now I don't write more words, I want to hear the song again...
I've been listening to this so much over the last few weeks. AWESOME piece of music.
This song and The Styx inspired parts of the book I'm writing.
There needs to be more songs like this-I love it.
This is so good! I'm a recent steampunk music listener, and I'm in love.
@ghostfiremusic Awesome! I listened to all of your songs on MySpace yesterday, so I'm pretty excited, now! :D
nice music.. very special
Csodálatos, gyönyörű! :) Wonderful!
Great sound. That guitarist must drink barrels of Tennents...
This is bloody perfect!!
Absolutely loved this song!!!
This is awesome, and very, very, haunting,..you should consider doing the next video, at that very famous Cemetery in New Orleans,.. that would be cool, if you do, try not to wake, the dead,...?lol,..!
We think you should make that movie!
I love everything Steampunk! And Gothic! Steampunk Goth! ^-^
Um bravo
Every time I get bored with music I find stuff like this
Bravo
Found this song by accident and now I can't stop listening to it. Great song. :)
I love the singers hat!
Awesome, fun song! love the harpsichord effect.. nice touch!!
I take it that this is the official channel for this band, and are either a member of the band or someone who works for the band to do this. If it's the former, I wish to say that I am inlove with this song! Truly, a wonderful piece of steampunk artwork.
Awsome tune. I love the melody of the Chorus! Also the Ménuet-like intro, and the whole look of the video is very steampunk-darkish ^^
This is pretty freakin cool! Well done guys
Most excellent thank you ghostfiremusic..
This is a great work, wow!!
The singer reminds me of Al Pacino in Devil's Advocate which makes me like this even more XD
Sings with THE FILTHY SPECTACULA now
Any song can get in you and move your body if you just let it. This song makes me want to dance like I've never danced before.
i love your music each song is so amazing .
Thanks Wickedpenguin. We had a genius in the making directing it.
i luv this song! :3
Fantastic! Rare to find a band that has both a good look, AND genuinely good music.
I love the singer's appearance :D
beautifull voce...
Love!!!
@ghostfiremusic I always get this piss taken out of me when I say "I like classical..." they don't let me finish my sentence because I'm trying to say "I like classical steampunk." But they would still laugh. I'm the only one that likes steampunk, and my parents forbid it.
@GilliLee Violin would sound awesome on that song. It's all based around the chords Am, E, F and C - probably not so easy to work out since there are a lot of fast changes. Key is Am though. I can send you a chord sheet but I'd need an address.
Love it
Thank you :P
this is a beautiful video for a beautiful song!
I agree totally! It sounds awesome and we already know with Ghostfire the soundtrack will kick ass!
Great stuff, Loving the Style
Lovely
I'm listening to this while writing another steam punk novel, it's totally a plan man. Keep at it !
Wonderful writing music isn't it? Loving the song! ^_^ It's also wonderful to see so many other steampunk novellists in one place! xD
Подходит под текущее время. В резонансе с ним
Lovely!
Wicked! Neovictoria in SecondLife directed me here. Brilliant work!
The new albums great too
Wow! So pretty! And I love the fire too!:D
Holy shit you know what a harpsichord is! I freaking love you!
i love this song its my fav one.
one of my top favorite steampunk songs.
This is what Voltaire would sound like if he used a harpsichord instead of a violin.
My favorite song
I like this.....It sounds like an old sea chanty.
I love the way Mr. E Covers the set in volvic before he pretends to set the place on fire
this music is badass :D love it
