  • I got a new M12 tool to add to the collection. 2460-20 Rotary Tool. I explain why I got this when I already have two rotary tools, show a neat branded item that comes with the 2460-20 and give a preference to battery options.

I use cordless tools in my everyday work………the flavour of choice is the Milwaukee m18 & m12……..the tool selection for my work is the best…….quality not so much……….Milwaukee being the most expensive……..definitely not the best value. I have had dewalt in the past and I use various Milwaukee for work everyday………however I now have the 18volt Ryobi at home and I believe they are the best “value” and selection for any homeowner. Ryobi has some interesting 40volt tools now too………things for grass and snow……….LOL. Great review Buddy!!

The catch is that once they suck you in . . . your kinda stuck with that brand and voltage. I have an old 18V Dewalt set (hammer drill, reciprocating saw, circular saw, radio and light) that still runs well . . . having gone through a couple of sets of batteries. When they die I'm not 100% sure who I will lean into for the heavy gear.

@@BuddyWhoDoesStuff I think you can get lipo batteries for those or the adapter to make them fit. I had the older nicad batteries and they are junk compared to my Ryobi now.
