you're right, Somaca a Moroccan national company has been manufacturing Renault 12 for a very long time, they also made lots of Fiats. i didn't know they had manufacturing plants in morocco since the 50s, no wonder their biggest export these past years are cars for the European market
Nice to see you back Andy, anther good little video mate, you did put your trust in that water container very quickly but I did notice you made other people drink it as well 😂😂 looks like you had fun looking for somewhere to park mate 😊 and what a place to find with loads off old Renaults. At least you found a lovely place to stop. Keep the good videos coming 😊
I’m a Moroccan living in USA 🇺🇸,, I totally agree with you,, they are very sneaky about speed ,, I got many times pullover by police and I gotten tickets,, they keep changing speed every half miles or less,, be careful about descend that where they hide radars always speed 10km/h less ,, but Morocco 🇲🇦 is good anyway.. cheers mate.
Renault 12 is the favourite for Moroccans doing business and 'looky looky' men in Spain, they will keep them running long as possible. Almost 30 years ago in Calpe there was a row of houses near the salt lakes that was all looky looky men and at times there would be a fleet of 20 or so 12's parked up. A Brit owner of one of the houses arrived unannounced to find it was all demolished and he had a real job trying to get paid out, his belongings were inside and he was finding bits and pieces bulldozed around the site. Renault 5 is still the favourite of blue taxis in Tanger.
Keep posting Andy mate. You'd give Judith Chalmers a run for the money🤣.. Seriously though. Why I haven't visited Morocco yet is a travesty. Thanks for the vid and the brilliant content 🙏🏻💚
I would take shepard feet water over english chlorinated tap water tbh. The only thing I really don‘t like when visiting the UK. Also, good to see you back with another one.
A lad I know is travelling around Morocco at the moment in is 60’s vw beetle , you won’t miss it it’s got a roof tent on top and it looks like it’s just been pulled from a barn , if you see him he is called Jake say hello 😊👍
Lived in Spain for few years, so wanted to go to north africa for a trip, could not get van ready & work too, was not as is in Spain back 25yrs... Be safe have fun and be lucky people's 🙏
they old French cars only exist in the old villages in Morocco because are affordable onnce you drie through to the city's you will see luxury cars some only canbe seen in Dubai and extra.good luck with your travels.
Only 100dhs…. The nice policeman pocketed it for himself 😂 Loved watching this! 😁 seems ages ago! Where the hell did we drive to find that park up!? 😂😂
My very first car bought from my brother was a red Renault 14TS W reg. We holidayed in Gambia back in 2003 and all the Taxis were renaults. I jumped in one and the seat spring shot up through the cushion. Luckily i didnt sit on it.😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤ not very road worthy in a 3rd world country.!! We had a fab holiday though.x liz (my first car with electric windows)

Ils ne sont pas sournois, c'est des routes nationales tres encombrés avec beaucoup de villages, alors forcément il y'a beaucoup de contrôles.
